I read this & I wanted to post it here for discussion.

CNN said:
Debt-laden governments across the globe are slashing spending to bring budgets in line. At the same time, riots in Athens and in London are the latest examples of spreading civil unrest. Does economic austerity cause social anarchy?

In the wake of the unrest in Greece, London & the growing anger in America as the rift between the haves & have nots increases...why arent more people talking about this?

They are, just not American news networks which are famously terrible at reporting news. Al Jazeera and BBC-News haven't been talking about anything else

which just goes to show that a) american news outlets arent nearly as nobel or concerned for the public's well being as they are perceived to be & b)ppl here are just dumbed down into a lulled state.

I was so encouraged & heart warmed to see ppl fighting back in wisconsin when that tea party asshole went after public sector employees, scapegoating them & duping ppl to think that attacking these workers & stripping them of their collective barganing rights was some magic key to fix WI's budget deficit. if more ppl stood up like this in unison against the tea party, special interest & corporations that pretty much run america now....where might we be?

Ppl overseas really cherish their rights & freedom that most of us take for granted here & seem to think will always remain as we perceive them to be.

The second they had the chance i saw those recall elections coming cause no one was happy with the Wisconsin Collective Bargaining fuckup and they got zero approval with the media coverage they got. Republicans/Tea Party got hit hard over that in the media.
