First off, sorry if there's a thread around, I did do a quick search and couldn't see an obvious one, and sorry if it's in the wrong place! :D

Anyway, I love Alias. It is absolutely one of my favourite TV shows ever. And Michael Vaughn is just hot!

Anyone else like it?

Oh MAN! Alias is one of my all time favorites! At first I was very hesitant to watch it but after a few episodes I was absolutely hooked.

The show was so suspenseful and I loved all the costumes and the drama of all the missions.

This is one of the few shows where I really felt the entire cast was just TOP NOTCH. Everyone filled their role and did it well.

I also remember Alias as having some of the most ridiculous and suspenseful season finales I have EVER seen!

Like in Season 2 when she wakes up in Bangkok and finds Michael only to discover she has been missing for two years?

Who were your favorite villains? Personally I always liked Lauren Reed, she was such a BITCH but you actually felt bad for her. And of course I have always loved Irina Derevko, how nobody was ever able to capture her!

So.. I guess my answer is YES! I am an Alias Fan!

Lol, awesome! It's taken me ages to find a 'proper' Alias fan!

I ALWAYS say about the finales when I'm talking to people about it. And season 2 is probably the worst. I'm glad I watched it all back to back after it had finished, I could not have handled waiting!

I HATED Lauren Reed, so much. lol. Although that's probably more to do with Syd/Vaughn than anything. I think Sark is one of my favourite villains, he was just such a git! He showed no loyalty to anyone, just himself, but he was so swish! Irina is awesome, and so is Sloane, though I hate to admit, he was just slimy.

I agree, all the characters were awesome. I love Jack and Marshall. And I love Greg Grunberg as Weiss, oh and Will. Man, I love them all. :D

I think it stood 5 seasons quite well too. I like how the 3rd series took a bit more of a break from all the Rombaldi stuff, but I also liked how believable, to some extent, the Rombaldi stuff was.

I'm going to stop babbling before this turns into a book and I say everything I have to say about Alias! :D

No I agree about the Rambaldi stuff.. After a little while.. (Like in Season 4) You were just like.. "Hurry the HELL up with this prophecy nonsense!"

I was just never that IN to Vaughn I guess. I just thought he was so wishy washy. Like after their two years apart, I just feel like Vaughn would have been the type of guy to have just left Lauren to be with Syd and he just acted all.. retarded!

Sloane = FAIL. I was like how many lives does this guy HAVE?!
Sark was absolutely awesome and sexy as hell! I loved how in Season Five, Rachel and Sark totally had this crazy chemistry and ended up sleeping together?! I thought was a hilarious contrast to the relationship that Sydney and Sark had. I liked Francie and was ridiculously shocked when I found out she was a double! That was an INTENSE fight scene, one of the best in the series where they are just BEATING the crap out of each other all throughout the house!

What I always find so interesting is the fact that all of these people kind of still work together or at the very least still do an incredible amount of TV work!

Like Greg Gunberg and Sark were on Heroes together.
And Bradley Cooper aka Will is like this big shot movie star now.. I just look at him and am like "I remember when you had really crazy hair and were in love with Sydney!"

And though I think that people gave Season Five alot of crap, I thought it was good. I mean it was the BEST, but there was good things about it. I liked how they were all sort of training the new people and I know they probably had plans to do a spin off that obviously never happened...

And duh! Fred (Amy Acker) is a villain and Balthazar Getty (Charmed) is there as well!

Amy Acker is a really convincing villain actually. Yeah, I think season five has some good moments. How much do you feel for Syd when you realise, when she does, that's on a boat in the middle of an ocean?!

I loved the relationship between Sark and Syd, so funny when she dresses up and Lauren and he totally milks it!

Yeah, I see what you mean about Vaughn. I expected him to leave Lauren, or at least start thinking about it a lot earlier than he did! But I still love him. His interaction with Weiss always makes me laugh.

And I love looking out for the guest stars. People still don't believe me when I tell them Tarantino was in it!

Oh yeah they had very off the wall guest stars! I remember Angela Bassett and Vivica Fox myself. Angela Basset was the Director of the CIA I think correct? Director Chase? and Vivica Fox was a security systems specialist or some crap like that haha.

I remember Tarantino but I don't remember what he did.. was he back in the SD 6 days? Like I feel like he took SD 6 hostage at some point? Am I right?

Yeah, that's right. His name was Mckenas Cole. He had some history with Sloane. He turns up a bit later as well, for one episode of Season 3.

Yeah, I liked Angela Bassett's character actually, she ends up with Dixon I think.

Haha, and how can we forget Roger Moore?!

I forgot about Dixon altogether.. funny if he ended up with Chase since his wife looked pretty much identical to her.

I forgot about Rodger Moore! HAHA! They really did have cooky guest stars. ALSO! Another Alias connection. Sloane is on Brothers & Sisters with the woman I can't remember her name.. she was the Therapist? Her and Sloane had somewhat of an illicit affair later on in the series?

Anyone else bought that badass dvd set with the bonus disc and the book that addresses fan questions? It's like I bought the series twice: once in individual seasons and again in the box set.

The show was great till season 3, then something fizzled and it never quite got that spark back. The Rimbaldi stuff got out of hand and was never satisfactorily wrapped up for me. There were some great moments in the last few seasons, but overall, the show hit its peak in season 2. However, I will never get over how much of a badass Victor Garber can be.

yeah...well...Alias was ALRIGHT  i personally PREFERRED Dark Angel and was a little salty when that show was overtaken by Alias (which was CLEARLY the copy cat at the time :p ) still, there were more than a few episodes that i enjoyed from Alias.

there was one thing that bothered me, during the season where Jennifer Garner was clearly pregnant she kind of took on an "Oracle" (Barbara Gordon from Birds of Prey) role while some other y oung female butt kicker was out in the field and those episodes REALLY didnt do it for me.

I understand the ACTRESS was pregnant and all but i just felt that season lacked the same "punch" as others.

Yeah there was no way she was hiding that pregnancy from anyone, you could literally just SEE the pregnancy in her face haha!

I always thought Dark Angel was completely different than ALIAS.. Like completely. Didn't Dark Angel revolve around Jessica Alba being some sort of person with these amazing abilities because she was like experimented on? I don't see the comparisons..

ALIAS rocked :D

i like this show when it cameon, it had good story and mythos. I'm surprised its not running more in syndication

I love this show, and my mother says its her favourite show.. normal, as Green Wing is her fav comedy.

I was so addicted to this every week, edge of my seat... even on the floor watching this.
