<< as the tension hung in the air high atop Illustra....so too did chaos rage out on the unprotected streets of NYC....as the Techno organic virus reached the surface ...creeping up from sewers and manholes ....and ravaging anything composed of circuitry as well as human flesh. ......screams can be heard as humans are completely transformed...some being rendered completely inert and dropping to the ground...becoming piles of semi solid bodies....while others still lose all sense of humanity as they transform and immediately begin lashing out at other humans....draining them of their energy and life glow and thus killing them.......cars and trucks lay burning and over turned...as sirens while in the air...and the skies high above churn and billow...as thunder and lightning crack and flash....every so often, buildings, including Illustra shudder and shake....from the tremendous forces of chaos raging below ground from the Citadle..now tettering on the edge of a total melt down>>

<< in the dark, dimly lit penthouse on the summit of Illustra....Spellbinder, Guardian, Shockwave, Prophet, Black Widow and Tempest are all gathered....having narrowly escaped death at various moments throughout this chaotic evening...but such diverse, bitterly opposed individuals could not possibly exist in the same space for too long without preying upon each other. Already this evening there have been several bitter clashes between Spellbinder, Prophet , Shockwave, Guardian and Black Widow ; yet Tempest somehow remains above it all.....having escaped MysTech and the Citadle....her outlook on life is far different.>>

<< Alexis and Cameron both partake of the wet bar in the penthouse, while Guardian and Spellbinder stand near one of the windows over looking the city. Black Widow has been documenting the events of this evening trying to contact her assistant Jen for additional tech, but with the tremendous atmospheric disturbance...that has proven quite difficult. and Eva, who now realizes these people all have the same desire as she to bring about the END of MysTech, has finally begun to interact with her strange new aquaintences.>>

<< Following the harsh truths presented to Morgan hours earlier by Haleigh and to the others this night by Guardian and the Scrying Glass, Morgan and Alexis realized that it is THEIR fathers that are responsible for this chaos. that fact does not sit well with either of them for each of their father's has blighted their paths for many years....now the two women, who often were at each other's throats in their professional life, now have found unlikely common ground.......and now that ALL of the group have the safety of illustra protecting them...they can attempt to process this info...regroup...recover and prepare for what is yet to come>

:: Even from the top floor of Illustra---high above all other sky scrapers, Alexis could hear the sirens and explosions from the mayhem that was blanketing across New York City. Alexis' eyes were fixated on one of the larger building across the way. The lights flickered on and off, only allowing Alexis to see shadows of what looked like mutated humans killing and maiming innocent people whom weren't effect by the TO virus. With a look of horror washed upon her face, thoughts of her father came to mind. How could he be so evil to do this? If he wanted vengeance...he need not hurt others, but proclaim his vengeance to Alexis. Power? He had so much of that. Why this? Why work with Christopher. Slowly Alexis' eyes closed as her head lowered. She couldn't help but feel responsible for what was going on; inside Illustra and out. Finally allowing her eyes to open, Alexis lifted her head only slightly, looking at the wine in front of her. Her stomach turned with disgust as she could feel the vomit willing it's way up her throat. Pressing her lips together, the blonde beauty took a breath in through her nose and slowly exhaled from her mouth. Picking up the glass of wine, she took one final sip of it and placed the partially empty glass on the table. ::

:: Shifting her eyes from one person to another, she could see the tension between everyone was very high. But in this silence....in this moment of what you could call bliss, everyone was still, and the room was at it's quietest. Soon, the momentary calmness disappeared as a large explosion and blood curdling screams could be heard as clear as day from atop of Illustra. Walking towards the window, Alexis' boot heals pattered softly against the marble flooring....soon everything fell silent once again. Peering out the window, Alexis separated the blinds with her index and middle fingers. Looking down at the streets, fire eliminated the normally dim area, giving a clear view of what was happening. People running, screaming, fighting for their lives. New York was crumbling apart. Standing only a couple of feet away from Morgan, Alexis glanced in her direction, seeing how distraught she was. Allowing herself to stare for a few moments, Alexis soon turned towards the windows once again and continued to watch the chaos unfold. ::

<< Morgan watched the chaos down below and across the expanse from the windows.....the mere height of Illustra, its security systems AND the magick provided by herself and Guardian kept them safe.....but even she, who often felt that she was ABOVE most that she dealt with..couldnt help but but her lower lip in horror at what was happening.>>

<< she'd gotten glimpse of MysTech's depraved machinations when she fought the Axis of Evil, mutants who had once been human....and had lives of their own...but MysTech changed them..perverted them..destroyed their humanity all in an effort to afford MysTech a team of mutants to use at their disposal. The lack of reguard for life....it troubled even this lofty sorceress>>

<< in an icy voice>>: this ...is ...is a whole new depth of hell...and christopher...is at the heart of it....he has Foxfire...and it didnt even MATTER to him that she was his daughter....he used her...like a lab rat. He tried to destroy her! He saw the pain and despair that he caused me and those that i love.......before this is all over...ill "see" him DEAD!

<< she spoke in a cold, even tone....but her icy aura was felt by Alexis, who was close by. As Morgan turned...and her icy violet eyes met with Alexis', their brief look between them said it all. they were both in pain...disbelief....but they showed it in different ways. Alexis reeled in shock and despair, while Morgan seethed with rage and longed for violence>>

<< for the first time since the two women had interacted days ago....there was a strange civility between them now....>>

i guess this brings a whole new dynamic to our relationship....who would have thought that two prominent women would both turn out to be super powered...AS WELL as having truly evil fathers?

"I guess we're just lucky..."

:: Her words were flooded with sarcasm....only something her and Morgan could "laugh" about--if you want to call this situation a laughing matter. Looking to Morgan once again, a small but brief smile tugged on her lips, reassuring her she wasn't trying to start a fight, but indeed felt that the two had a connection with each other now. Taking this opportunity, Alexis wanted to try something new...something she's never done before. Become civil. Removing her hand from the blinds, Alexis crossed her arms across her chest and slowly made her way over to Morgan. Standing a few inches away from her, Alexis glanced at Guardian who was also present. Both woman stood tall.....normally only a few inches above Alexis, but with her heals, she was at eye level with the two mutants. Parting her dry pink lips, Alexis spoke. ::

"I'm sorry to hear about your sister, Morgan..."

:: Not exactly too familiar with this act of kindness, Alexis looked down and shifted her eyes from side to side not exactly sure what else to say. Looking up once again, her eyes met with Morgan's. Seconds felt like years as she peered into her violet hues.....Just in those few seconds, it was as if Alexis could see into the soul of Spellbinder. As if she was reading a story. Under her tough exterior was a woman in pain. In grief. All she wanted to do was protect her family from her father....like Alexis wanted to protect herself from her father. ::

"I know we got off on a bad start..."

:: A small chuckle escaped Alexis' lips. ::

"Most peoples encounters with me are like that.."

:: Pausing, she moistened her lips before continuing. ::

"But, I do want to help you get your sister back.....Adam took my family away from me.."

:: Tears began to well up in Alexis' eyes, but she refused to break eye contact with Morgan. ::

"And I'm not going to have him and Christopher take yours away too."

:: Finally, Alexis broke her eye contact and lowered her head. Trying to hide the few tears that escaped, she placed her hand gently over her eyes for a few moments to compose herself. Sniffing, Alexis looked up once again at Morgan, then to Guardian. She hated being this vulnerable...especially in front of two very powerful woman that normally see her being very cocky and strong. But Alexis didn't care. ::

"Yes... so nice of you to join us Morgan..."

Haleigh was going to say something else nasty... but decided for once to let it go. She'd been antagonistic all day... and Spellbinder had to be reeling from the information she'd recieved so far. Haleigh unhooked and unzipped the top porton of her suit, she needed a little extra room to breathe... this room, dim and enclosed by walls and blinds over the windows seemed to be getting smaller. Haleigh never EVER pulled the blinds or curtains over the windows. She took a deep breath.... she knew deep down that she was simply overexerted and needed to rest. she wasn't sleepy... for she no longer slept at all... but her body and mind were stretched too thin and there was only one way she could solve that. She quietly watched Morgan, Alexis, Cameron and Guardian as they quarelled. She watched Eva, who was quiet, but went after Alexis, who stormed off. Her focused turned back to Morgan... she rolled her shoulder back and brought her foot back as Morgan nearly ran her over... and then but her foot solidly behind her as Morgan shoved by. Watching Morgan go, she turned back to see how Cameron would react.... things seemed to calm for the moment... and the room grew quiet. The first quiet, it seemed, that Haleigh had gotten all day. It didn't help that impending doom hung thick over their heads... Haleigh managed a soft smile to Cameron as she walked over to the scorch marks where her men were killed. As they were dying... the men had each dropped the main weapon they were carrying... luckily for Haleigh, because their seemed to be some sort of problem reaching her office. She picked up a hand gun... there was another three feet away that his parnter had dropped... She ejected the magazine and checked the lead count. 17... and one in the chamber. She slid the clip back in and looked up at Cameron.

"You alright? Should have SEEN what she did to my arm this morning... I couldn't feel it for ten minutes.... and I'm SURE itll be black and blue for days. Got and iron grip and a temper, that woman. She reminds me of a Drill Instructer I had in OCS. Dreadful bitch, she was. She... mysteriously died after I was commissioned."

She smiled wickedly and reached down to pick up the second firearm and checked it as well. full. good news. She slid them both into empty shoulder holsters attached to her suit. She walked around the sofa, where two more of her men died. Each scorch mark made her angrier... but she wasn't sure if it was the fact that they might have been traitors, or the fact that she herself hadn't gotten to kill them that pissed her off more. She picked up two more... an assault rifle and a short styled shotgun... neither of these would be exactly what they looked like... most of the weapons carried by Haleigh's agents were loaded with SPECIAL ammunition. She walked towards a panoramic window alcove, and dropped the weapons on either side of her. Three ceiling-to-floor winodw panels were design for a great view... and Haleigh pulled the curtains and opened the blinds to give the room a less enclosed feel. She took a deep breath and a step back, and then sat down on the carpeting right in front of the glass. She crossed her legs indian style and placed her hands, palms down, on her knees. Her back was straight and her shoulders relaxed... and her only movement was the expansion of her chest as she pulled in air and the contraction that followed as she exhaled. Sitting before the window, her back was to Cameron and anyone else that entered... but she was very aware of what each person was doing within the penthouse. Her eyes softly closed, her breathing steadied, as she left the chaos behind and entered the recesses of her mind, meditating, thinking, calculating everything. going over everything. Sorting and storing and remembering everything. It would only take a few minutes and Haleigh would feel much better... rejuvenated. This was how she avoided sleeping. avoided dreaming... this was how she avoided the nightmares that took her back to places she didnt want to be. This way she had control... and she was never as vulnerable as humans were when they fell asleep.

::Guardian looked on as Morgan and Alexis talked....she seemed rather disinterested. but then again her stoic facial expressions rarely deviated from this ..unless she was expressing utter disdain and contempt for those she was interacting with. She turned...and walked past Morgan and Alexis....she knew and "saw" more than anyone in the room.....but she had to let them all recover ....and recharge. the task that lay before them all was daunting...and some among them would not make it through without undergoing tremendous change::

:: she passed Haleigh, who was now sitting down on the floor in a meditating position. Haleigh had a closer view of Guardian's well toned, long legs...and the fierce stilletto heels that she walked with ease in. what was it with these two women and their "high fashion" costumes.....that seemed to favor style over comfort and function? as she walked...she casually stepped on the remains of the men whom she blew up earlier....disreguarding their ashes as though they were nothing more than dust beneath her boots. Finally making it back over to the scrying glass. She turns her head to look at Cameron who is sitting on the couch::

I'd try to contact your assistant, Vivica if i were you. She will not be able to last throughout the night , being as powerless as she is.

::the blunt minimizing of Vivica by Guardian stung......but it was the truth. her "quiet" powers would avail her LITTLE in the way of surviving this night....and although she was deemed "safe" for the moment by Guardian....Cameron hadnt been able to find her since earlier this evening::

Eva, please come here. I want to discuss with you the lay out of the citadle. with your recounting your experiences there, combined with my power and the scrying glass, we can then gain an in depth view of the citadle.

<< Morgan looked down at the young meta human...her evil facial expression softened a bit...as she heard the soft, heart felt words of Alexis. Foxfire's "death" was a trauma that not even Spellbinder's own power could protect from.....it had changed her...but in the last 12 hours....her world had once again been turned upside down.....in a way...it was a good thing. It snapped her out of the shell she had been in...and her blood thirsty, violent demeanor reasserted itself which was something that would aid them ALL in the time to come>>

<< in an icy voice>>: thank you...i didnt imagine that anyone else could know what it was like to have a monster for a father. Christopher...has blighted my path since i was a young woman....my mother and i were strong enough to fight him off...but never truly be RID of him. Now....to find out that HE was behind Black and the Axis of Evil........and that he has my sister.......there can be no holding back.....he must be destroyed for what he has done!

<< Morgan lifted her hand...and with a soft sparkle of eldritch energy, she conjured a soft hankerchief to hand to Alexis, who was now sheding tears>>

your father....Adam Chandler....i can see he hurt you. I know what that feels like.....but this time....he wont get away with it. We...will stop him...for GOOD and this time....he'll be made to SUFFER. BOTH of them......I'll use my magick to show them what REAL FEAR tastes like!

<< Alexis could feel the resolve from Morgan. Morgan's disdain for men was born from the cruelty wrought by her father....and to see another woman in despair because of her father....it resonated deep in her soul....the fire of vengeance burned in her heart.....>>

:: Alexis watched Alison walk away---her eyes following her until she was out of range. Shaking her head slightly, Alison needed to get the "stick out of her ass and a dick up her pussy pronto", very fine words spoken by the fabulous Kim Catrall. Turning her attention back to Morgan, she listened to every word that came out of her mouth...it seemed so surreal, being able to relate to Morgan in such a way. Though she composed herself better than Alexis has been in this situation, she could hear the pain in her voice. But the anger stood out from the rest. ::

"If anyone understands your situation. It's me."

:: Although Alexis was sure Cameron and Alison knew the full story, seeing as how they were nosey little bastards, Alexis never spoke of it to anyone. But perhaps actually saying it out loud....saying it to someone who knew the pain of having a malicious father, would help. Not only Alexis, but Morgan to know she really does understand her dilemma. ::

"My fath.."

:: Pausing, Alexis corrected herself. ::

"..Adam stole me when I was an infant...from my mothers arms in the hospital. He killed my parents, and lied to me about where I came from my entire life. I never had a real family...he was never around unless, it was of course, to teach me more magic. He was trying to make me into a killing machine when I was only a child. When all I ever wanted was him. But he thought he could pay me off and his money would buy my love..."

:: Seeing a handkerchief appear in Morgan's hands, Alexis was taken back by the kind gesture. Taking it, Alexis dabbed under her tear stained eyes, before crumpling it into the palm of her hand. ::

"Thank you."

:: Looking up at Morgan once again, Alexis continued on. ::

"When I killed him...or thought I killed him, I was so happy he was dead. SO happy. But when I saw his body laying in a pool of his own blood, I realized...I had no one. It's a wonder why I'm insufferable, unspeakably rude, narrow-minded, and uniquely unlikeable."

:: Allowing a small laugh escape from her lips, she dabbed her nose if the crumpled up handkerchief that was in her hand. ::

"But after being alone for 10 years without a stable family, I've learned to be very tough on others.....and on myself. When Adam died, my life, like yours, turned upside down. But I managed to get it right after all the heartaches and grief. And I'm not about to allow that man ruin it for me again."

:: Stopping, Alexis tossed the handkerchief into a near by golden trash can. Looking up, all the pain left Alexis' eyes. Pure and utter hate was written all over them. She peered into Morgan's, seeing the same in hers. Very well the two most powerful woman in this room, Alexis and Morgan were out for blood...and if they actually worked together, their plan would succeed. ::

"So lets kill those bastards. Put our differences aside...and work together...help each other close this chapter in our lives."

<< Morgan listened to Alexis...and noticed the common theme....a father who was driven by greed and cared little for anyone but his own gain...even at the expense of a daughter....>>

rest assured....they wont survive this caper. Apparently Christopher thought that with the disbanding of Valiant and the belief that Foxfire was dead that I would never learn the truth....but he always gets sloppy at the critical moments. Ill purge him of the folly of his existence. Even now...Guardian will provide us all with a way to track them down ....and destroy them.

<< even at her most "human" moments...Morgan never delved too deeply into what made her tick...or how she truly felt. she let her power and her actions convey those things. It was something that always alienated her former team mates from her....for too often...she prooved that she had little need of their help. But as Guardian had warned them.....NO ONE here tonight was going to survive unless they worked together....they were brought together by design....>>

the only problem.....is Black. He's immune to magick.....last time...i nearly died...but it was my other powers, super strength, flight and stepping discs that gave me the narrow advantage to destroy him..but for all my power..i wasnt able to stop him from striking down FoxFire.

<< Morgan bows her head and closes her eyes tightly...balling her fist tightly as it shakes.....her anger is evident>>

But she's ALIVE.......and i must get to her. NOTHING can stand in my way........and by the Goddess....If i AM to die tonight......ill make sure that Black and Christopher's souls light my path to Hell itself.

:: Nodding, Alexis agreed with Morgan. They needed to all ban together, differences aside, and get rid of these two rats. Although, this Black character was new to Alexis, she had never heard of him...but if he almost took down Spellbinder and the rest of her team, he must of been pretty damn tough. ::

:: Soon, the lights in the apartment began to flicker. Everyone in the room wasn't sure what it was from, but it was indeed from Alexis. As the lights began to flicker even more violently, soon, all the lights exploded, causing the entire apartment to become pitch black. With a smirk, Alexis waved her hand and and those lights that weren't shorted out, came back on, eluminating the place once again. ::

"They call me Shockwave..."

:: Her smirk fading, her little act was to show Spellbinder what she brought to the team. ::

"I control, manipulate, and create energy....how do my powers effect this Black character? Is he immune to it....can he tolerate it, or is he vunerable to it? The only benifit I got out of my so called "relationship" with Adam, was the fact that he tought me well. People under estimate me...but I do pack a pretty deadly punch."

« Cameron sat quietly in the penthouse, looking around at everyone. They all seemed so tired and just not ready to go into a battle. The only thing on his mind was making sure he was going to get out of it alive. As he heard Morgan and Alexis talking civilly for the first time, he saw Haleigh get up and check the scorch marks from where her two agent type guys had been standing before they were obliterated. She picked up the gun, smiled at him and spoke. He sighed and somewhat laughed as he rubbed his chest. »

"Yeah.. My chest just hasn't been lucky today. I got a mad gash from those Shadow Demons and then a swift punch in the gut by Morgan.. But other than that I am peachy keen. I just wish..."

« At that moment, Guardian spoke softly and directly to Cameron. Something that he was not expecting after all the raucus he had caused earlier. She mentioned locating Vivica, and it was the same thing that was on his own mind. Vivica may have been his assistant but she was the closest thing to a friend that Prophet had. He nodded and stood up slowly due to the pain in his chest. He went to an open spot in the living room as he sat down Indian Style on the floor and closed his eyes. The Prophet began to meditate to gain some energy that he would use to try and contact Vivica. In his mind, the black nothingness swirled as he began to do somewhat of a "scrying" of his own. Cameron and Vivica were Telepathically Linked and if she was alive, he could use that link to be able to find her. In his mind there was something like a large map of NYC only darkened and stormy. He looked over the city in an Eagle Eye View and sent out his telepathic signature to Vivica. He waited for several minutes, before BOOM he had caught the signal back to him. The others in the penthouse would notice that he slowly began to hover over the floor. His mind was shot down and into a rather large building. Vivica was sitting in the elevator, her body cut and bruised. She seemed to be sleeping. Cameron knew she would want to be woken up by him. He called out to her. »

"Vivica! Vi! Wake Up! It's Cameron!"

« Without a moment's notice, Cameron grabbed Vivica's Astral form as he teleported them both to the Astral Plane, where they would be strong and healthy, able to talk. In the Astral Plane, Cameron could pretty much do what he wanted to. The two saw each other and quickly embraced. She was the only person that could bring out his human side. She looked at him and rubbed his face, laughing, notings his own cuts and bruises.

Vivica: "Man... looks like you've been through Hell tonight."

Cameron: "I could say the same thing about you. Are you okay though? I mean, your powers aren't best equipped for this type of situation..."

Vivica: "Cameron...I may not have the almighty power of you or Spellbinder, but I am tough, and smart. My senses have kept me alive, and from what I have seen.. I think I should be asking you if you are okay. I know what these things are. What's going on. These people are being affected by the Techno Organic Virus, a virus that was extremely fatal to MUTANTS.. but these humans are being effected by it. They won't be able to survive. I was attacked by what I believe to have been a Shadow Demon. The only thing was, that Shadow Demons had Guns.. ammunition of some sort.. They have to be working for something bigger. I just can't figure out who.."

Cameron: I know who it is, but Vivica, I need for you to do something for me. I am safe. I am with Spellbinder, and a few others. What I know is potentially dangerous if I let you know as well. I need you to get out of New York City. I need you to somehow get back to LA. You can stay at my estate, but right now, the less you know, the better. Now I know that you recall abilities and senses might keep you alive, but Vi, I almost got killed by them today. Once everything here blows over I will contact you again.

« Vivica looks a little confused, as she turns her head away and sighs. She knows that it is the right thing to do, but she is afraid that Cameron might not make it out alive. With her abilities, sometimes it's a curse. She knows the demons are immune to his powers. »

Vivica: Alright. I will get out of the city, Cameron, but I will let you know this right now. If you don't make it back, I will kill you. « Smiles »

Cameron: Okay. Got it.. If I die, you will kill me. But I have to go.. I think everything is being planned right now.. and I am kind of sitting in the middle of the room meditating. I don't want to look weird even for a mutant.. I WILL contact you. Trust me.. I WILL live through this....

« Cameron and Vivica hug one more time before he takes them both back to their bodies. He watches Vivica from the elevator as she gets up and dusts herself off. With that, Cameron opens his eyes as he falls back to the floor. He stands up and nods to Guardian, who knows by now that he has made contact. He turns back to Haleigh and somewhat blushes. »

"Yeah, I know.. I am a little weird. It's my powers. If you haven't guessed by now, I am a telepath and telekinetic.. My mind is my weapon... So, Haleigh.. what is it exactly that you do?"

<< Morgan's face tightened with slight annoyance at Alexis' breaking several of the light fixtures>>

yes......the leader of Valiant had similar powers to you...her name was Volt....

<< Morgan spoke the woman's name with such disdain.....it was clear that she probably didnt enjoy her time with Valiant ...>>

but .....kindly refrain from using my building to further demonstrate your capabilities....it IS what is keeping us safe from the chaos out there.

<< she folds her arms...breathing in deeply as she exhales slowly....and then lifts her hands to run them through her blonde, double highlighted hair....>>

Black...was a creature with a humanoid appearance...that of an incredibly large male....at least 8 feet tall...with a spectacular physical..but his entire body was enshrouded in shadow.....he seemed to be invulnerable to conventional weapons and had none of the typical human frailties. He was MysTech's messenger...as well as their "attack dog"....he was utterly depraved...and relentless.

Worse.. he was immune to my MAGICK. I was one of the strongest of Valiant....but he menaced me. However...we saw that he WAS vulnerable to flame. Black appears to be an energy creature...probably composed of the energy of the SHROUD. In which case......i doubt your powers would damage him....the shroud ABSORBS "light energy" and that is precisely what plasma and electricty are......the only reason i was able to kill him.....was because i used my stepping disc to snatch his "sword of anger" away from him....and plunge it into his heart using my super strength. He moves with the speed of shadow...and can juggle battle tanks....

<< she holds out her right hand....there's an unusual looking "tatoo/scar" on the palm...going down to the wrist ...and fore arm>>

I use my magick to conceal this normally... but its a souveneir of my battle with Black. the touch of that sword was so vile....so devastating...that it ravaged my arm to the point that doctors thought i would need amputation...and it negated my magick for MONTHS......

<< she bows her head...>>

i barely survived....and Foxfire......well...we all thought she was dead...we saw her get her back broken by him....and tossed into a wall.

<< looking back up....Morgan looks out of the window once more>>

Haleigh.....provided me with this body contouring armour.....its designed to flatter my figure...and provide me with considerable protection against Black's power...which , if he touches me..and unleashes his power against me, will cancell out my magick!

<< the threat of Black seemed to loom more and more....if he was powerful enough to menace spellbinder and probably guardian as well...would cameron, alexis, eva and haleigh be able to withstand him?>>

Even when we get to the Citadle....if he is there...he probably already has become aware of me and the rest of you. He'll try to kill me first...and then he'll go after the rest of you. Guardian's magick wont effect him either...although if cornered, her powers of precognition and time manipulation will aid her just as my flight, stepping discs and super strength would aid me.

If Christopher and Adam think that you ,myself or any OTHER person are attempting to shut them down...they will pull out ALL the stops to see us dead.

:: Allowing her eyes to roll casually, at Morgan's remark about the lights, Alexis' smirk returned thinking it was quite funny. But nevertheless, she was here for to complete a job, not show off. Leaning her back against the wall, she crossed her arms and listened to Morgan tell her story of Black. As Morgan got to the information about Black being immune to energy, Alexis' wrinkled her nose and let out a small sigh. Well, she was no help in this Black situation then. However, she technically didn't have to deal with Black. As long as she could get to her father, she would take care of him. ::

"Well...when are you planning on taking us to the Citidel? If this virus continues to spread at the rate it has been...we're going to be stuck in this building for a while."

:: Pushing herself off the wall, Alexis uncrossed her arms, and walked passed Morgan to the window. Peering through the partly open blinds, she looked down to the street once again, seeing the chaos as calmed a bit. Turning away from the window, she looked towards Morgan once again. ::

"We have to start whatever plan you have cooked up soon....Adam and Christopher aren't niaeve, they most likely know what we're up to already, and are preparing for it."

« Cameron was a little tired from his conversation with Vivica as he decided to go over to Morgan and Alexis and see how they were doing. He was a little nervous as Morgan and himself were not on the best of terms and he didn't want to upset either of them after just finding out that their fathers were Cohorts in this whole Mystech thing. He stood gazing out of the window as he walked up to them and casually remarked. »

"It is so crazy out there..like something out of a movie..."

« Even from how far up he was he could see the Chaos emerging outside. Cars were crashing, people were literally knawing on each other's flesh and the weather didn't seem to get any better. He looked back into the Penthouse. Guardian and Eva had left the room to discuss the floorplan of the Citadle and Haleigh was resting on a couch nearby, though her eyes seemed to be darting back and forth, she was always looking around at things. He turned his attention back to Morgan and Alexis. »

"So, are you guys prepared to face.. your fathers? I mean do you think you are emotionally ready for it?"

« Prophet was worried. If Morgan and Alexis went in there and they came face to face with Adam and Christopher and couldn't deal with it. Those two obviously touched a nerve in them and from what Cameron had seen from Alexis's memories, she had already attempted to kill him once and failed. Would they even be strong enough? This was getting to look worse by the minute and Cameron wondered if this group.. this messed up.. "Six" was going to be able to accomplish anything. »

Haleigh softly opened her eyes as Gaurdian walked by... and as she noticed the heels she raised her eyebrow, and smirked as she looked up at the woman. She seemed to be ina better mood already, as for probably the first time that day, the first thing that came out of Haleigh's mouth was a compliment.

"Alison.... has anyone ever told you what lovely ankles you have? ..... That said... I must relate my suspicion that THOSE heels may not be the best thing to go traipsing around the warzone in.... and that outfit... while stylish and chic... does not offer the best protection."

Haleigh closed her eyes again almost as soon as she finished speaking... but not before she saw caught the reflection of Cameron floating above the ground in the window. She added that to the short list of his known powers, and went back to her quiet reflection. She heard the thud of Cameron's fall, the shuffle of movement as he got to his feet, and the slight embarrasment in his voice. She needn't open her eyes to know where he was now, and she exhaled sharply in such a way that it almost sounded like she was softly laughing.

"You are forgetting the company you are in... weird is a RELATIVE term.... you're talking to a woman who is alert and awake 24 hours of every day and can adjust the temperature of any room to her liking at any given time. At the risk of sounding like a psychiatrist, what exactly do you think NORMAL is? Hmm... interesting. I don't believe I've ever met a POLITE telepath before... they all seem to poke around my mind for the answers instead of asking... I own and operate an Intelligence agency...espionage and reconnaissance, surveillance and security detailing... hired guns... think... the CIA of the underworld. Which reminds me Alison.... I have intel on the Citadle's inner workings... including BLUEPRINTS of the sublevels where the Citadle resides.... photographs, reports... you name it. I have ALSO asked for suits for your and the others... tech and weaponry that would definitely help us... but it seems my people are having trouble delivering... perhaps it has to do with the defesive shield around this penthouse?"

Haleigh still had her back to everyone... and her eyes were still shut as she spoke. It could be sensed in her tone and her demeanor that she was becoming more and more relaxed, and was beginning to seem almost tranquil.

::from across the room, Guardian saw that Cameron had contacted Vivica. she was safe, for the moment. Guardian hadnt bothered to "see" her immediate future as of yet...but apparently the woman had made sure she put herself out of harm's way. Guardian noted Cameron's look of relief. As she made her way past Haleigh to began working with Eva.....near the large sparkling Scrying Glass, Haleigh commented on her ankles, the high heels and costume.::

::Alison looked herself over, and then looked at Haleigh .::

I knew you would have access to the protective gear we would need. Morgan and I especially needed something to protect us from Black's ravaging touch. while the rest of you need proper protection from the TO Virus and the temperature extremes that are now rampant thanks to the Citadle's shorted out climate control device.

I have determined that your contact, Jen, is not corrupted by MysTech's far reaching influence...and I will lower the barrier to allow the transfer of any weaponry, armour and paraphenelia that you have for yourself and us. I assume my armour will be as feminine as Morgan's?

::It was clear that Alison was no slouch when it came to personal style and fashion either...but now, Guardian's tone was a bit softer, less controlling and abrasive....everyone seemed to be calming down a bit as the minutes slowly crept by::

The transfer must be secure and as quick as possible. There are THREE Sentinels on their way here now...after Alexis and Morgan....their dispatch is several hundred miles away....so we have time....but we will NOT be out of here before they arrive. I have already seen it. But they have received data from the encounters between yourselves and the troops of MysTech over the past few hours and the Sentinels have been programed with macro defenses and counter moves for EACH of us. Their bodies are contructed of carbonium steel...and their hands and fore arms are laced with adamantium....so that they CAN breach the mystic barrier......some forms of metal can be an anethma to all things magick. We must prepare ourselves.

ANY knowledge of the Citadle's defenses that you have....would be appreciative. They have a mage...of incredible power named Imagiomg who has been BLOCKING my probes...and clouding my perception of the Citadle.....he is protecting Adam and Christopher....and will send Black after Morgan any time now. These two beings will provide us with extreme difficulty, and while Spellbinder will be able to match Imagiomg in a "fire fight" of magicks....it is unclear to me when Black will strike.

::her long range precognition was accurate and precise...something that would be quite helpful along the way.::

:: As Alexis and Morgan were in the middle of talking stratagie, she heard Cameron butt into the conversion and question both hers and Morgan's ability to take on their fathers. Turning around, Alexis was extremely pissed that he had the audacity to even ask that. ::

"If you think for a minute, because you've been inside my head...felt my emotions, SEEN what happened between me and Adam, gives you the RIGHT to question my ability on whether or not I'm prepared to face him? You have no idea! You have no idea what I'm capable of! What I could do to your very body right here and now! If you think for one moment that you know anything about me, or even Morgan for that fact, because you have the ability to "read" people and see inside their heads, you're severely mistaken Mr. Cameron. So before you speak one more word to me...or give me one of your pathetic little arrogant looks, I'd stop and think. Do you really want to piss off a woman who just found out her father's alive?"

:: Her glare was so intense that it could burn a hole right through Cameron. Even though normally something as small and trivial as Cameron's question wouldn't effect Alexis to this extent, her emotions were obviously erratic at this time. But even with heightened emotions, Alexis was prepared to face her father. Finally breaking her glare, Alexis casually turned around and turned her attention back to Morgan. Parting her lips, she re crossed her arms and took a breath in. ::

"So, where were we."

<< Morgan turned her back to the window to survey the expanse of the Penthouse...despite the commotion...the place still looked well kept and was very soothing with the quiet air>>

<< Prophet drew near...and she looked at him with a calmer face..but her icy violet eyes still showed little friendliness. she just didnt seem to have the capacity for warmth...not even in a casual conversation.>>

<< she listened to Alexis snap at Cameron...and couldnt blame her. this...was not only DEEPLY embarrasing for them both....but it was something the notoriously self absorbed Cameron wouldnt possibly understand....or would he? either way...Morgan was more inclined to identify with Alexis' feelings at this moment>>

<< looking at Prophet...Morgan responded in an icy voice>>: Ill be "okay" when Christopher is dead. He shouldve died that night he faced my mother and i in Central park......but he has power of his own....and he was saved by MysTech. But THIS time....ill make SURE that he doesnt recover....and now he has a partner in crime...who will SHARE his fate!

If youll excuse me Alexis.......Ill return soon enough.

<< Morgan walked between Cameron and Alexis....her cold aura washed over them like a breeze as her heels clicked along the marble floor. She moved out of the sunken floored main room...and walked out of the double doors..back into the main hall of the top floor of Illustra....the doors shut behind her. Where she was going was anyone's guess......but in actuality...she was merely moving down the hall to a small alcolve...away from the penthouse suite. she stepped in to the cozy offshoot of the main hall>>

<< the faint echo of water dripping from one of the restroom faucets could be heard down the hall...as well as her high heels..and her breathing.......as she exhaled slowly....all of the brutality and cold heartedness seemed to fade for a moment...as she leaned back against the wall.....and looked out of the small, convex window...the skies were angry.....and the air was cold..but it didnt bother her....it seemed calming to her...for the wind was something she had an affinity for>>

alone at last............

<< Morgan's mind wandered....as she secretly was RELIEVED that Foxfire was alive....it meant that she HADNT failed...that her father once again had been responsible for this turmoil. She day dreamed of destroying him utterly.......and her face now had a surprisingly gentle expression to it....as the rain fell against the window and the thunder rumbled>>

<< her eyes began to grow heavy.....as she leaned back against the wall........she was drifting>>

:: Nodding as Morgan excused herself from the conversation, Alexis turned and watch her exit the penthouse. Turning to Cameron, she rolled her eyes and walked past him towards the wetbar she destroyed. Pulling one of the stools out, she slid onto it and crossed her legs. Taking in a few deep breaths, Alexis began to calm down after yelling at Cameron. She understood he was only concerned...but this was how Alexis was. When cornered she turned into a rattlesnake, striking at any hint of movement. With a father like Adam, it was simply for survival and pride. Biting the bottom of her lip softly, she sighed softly. ::

I didn't mean to snap...

:: Alexis thought to herself...hoping Cameron would overhear it. Although she was still pissed at his comment, she couldn't turn on the six other people that were going to help her bring her father down. Tapping her finely manicured nail upon the bartop, she awaited for what was going to happen next. ::

::Guardian stopped...and looked up around noticing the broken glass left in the wake of Shockwave's out burst......she waved her hand in a circular motion..and began reversing the temporal field around the areas of the broken glass....the bottles, the light figures all began to come back together flawlessly as they were before..with an eerie sound accompanying the time manipulation::

now, that the mess is cleaned up......... ::casting a dissapproving look at Alexis::

Haleigh...in exactly 5 minutes I will lower the barrier around the building.....that will give your contact time to "pipeline" the items and information to you....have her send them to that area :: she gestures to east wall of the main room where they all where.:: once the tech is here...you can each find a room to change into on the second level of the penthouse.
