Alpha Flight Flies Again in AMAZING X-MEN Thanks to THOR 3 Writers | Newsarama.com

--------------

I'm excited about this b/c Claremont disciple, Chris Yost, is now @ the helm of Amazing X-men for this storyline! :D

I like some of Alpha Flight but I'm not sure cause they only show up just to die and die again

In their day, they had several books & were kind of like the X-men w/ one main team & several off shoots. My favorite Alpha Flight characters are Snowbird & Talisman. I like Northstar, but I hate his sister  Especially how stupid, unaware & naive she was in the Weapon Plus storyline...dating "The Director" while her fellow mutants were being exterminated in Neverland.

Yeah :( a recent incarnation of the team, lead by a young woman who called herself "Validator" (w/ a similar look & power set to Guardian & Vindicator) was killed in the pages of the Avengers in a rather gruesome way. Validator turned out to be a daughter of a S.W.O.R.D operative, who shot himself in the head in an attempt to keep Abigail Brand (I think it was her) from finding out the details about what happened.

Talisman and Shaman i like but just because they seem to be such weird awesome magic characters but again they're two characters that just show up to die in someone else's book.

(Like Omega Sentinel/Karima Shapandar just shows up to die mostly)
