After the storm

Haleigh smirked, unable to help it. she looked more relaxed than she'd been in weeks.

"Well.... I'll have to get a stronger soap then, huh?"

Haleigh was never very secretive about much with Foxfire... it was strange for her to be so open about everything with anyone other than Cassandra... but since that night with the Six, Haleigh seemed to have taken on different characteristics. She stopped to pet Midnight lovingly and then followed Blaze. they played an interesting game that few others understood. haleigh smirked, moving closer to Blaze, placing her hand on Blazes, stopping her from pouring a glass for Haleigh and guiding her to put the bottle down. Her voice quieted.

"You know good and well what I came here for." She leaned in to whisper in Blaze's ear, dragging her fingertips up the woman's arm slowly. "I like the wine from '84 and I drank all mine." She whispered playfully, taking a step back and grinning. She winked just as playfully back at Blaze, going back to the living room and sinking into the red leather couch. She crossed her legs at the knee, playfully tinkering with Midnight.

[Scoffs]"Alexis... she's always got a stick up her ass about something. Are they at it again? she needs it. Of course... that's only going to end badly... and then where do we go? Sometimes I wonder.... is super sense a blessing, or a curse in disguise? It must be annoying after a while, having to listen to those two go round for round."

She pauses, smoothing the fur on Midnight's head. She was such an animal person.

"Yeah.... I've been pretty busy. You know the business. It's crazy. With all the expansion I'm finally doing, its even crazier than usual. I'm taking a few days off to unwind. Read: to party and have sex." She stops to laugh playfully, looking up at Blaze. "I went to Hellfire last night. Business is booming... it's a very nice establishment."

** Smirking at how close Haleigh was to her own body, Blaze dipped her head to the side, peering into those cobalt eyes. "Really? I should go out and buy it then." She teased when Haleigh walked into the living room. Shaking her head at her dear friend while putting the bottle back into the fridge. She could smell Haleigh's perfume, which seemed to mark her scent, mapping out her own unique signature. **

"I think Alex is just insecure, so she puts up such a front. She can be bitchy, but I look past it. She doesn't know how to handle me and I love it!"

** A small cackle escaped Blaze, walking into the kitchen, sitting on the arm chair adjacent to the leather couch. Midnight was adoring the much needed attention he was receiving, lifting his chin up more. "Look at him, he's enjoying every moment. Male cats usually are more friendly. I told Morg I'd have Mid mate with Tink...well, the look on her face was priceless." A small chuckle echoing off the walls, while Blaze secretly tried to read her friend. But her last comment caught Blaze off guard, who burst out laughing. Nearly choking on her glass of whine. **

"Sex is good with the right person. Lately, its become a bore for me. Nobody seems to have the right spice for me....they want to actually have a relationship, its a turn off. I can't do it...I won't...I refuse to let someone in, not after my fi...her. I prefer to be a free spirit, I don't see love in my future and that's fine with me. Like the old saying goes, its better to have loved and lost then not at all."

** Pausing for a moment, Blaze thought about her beloved fiance who had passed away, years ago. Thinking about her, only brought pain to her heart. Just then, Haleigh commented on her club, stealing her attention. A look of gratuity was expressed over her facial expression. "thank you, I haven't gone yet. I never did, not on the first couple of nights anyway. I get so nervous, I'm just a pile of nerves. I attend to other activities, mostly at night. I can't sleep, I'm sure your the same way."

"I never did thank you for your connections. We'll have to go to lunch, on me. You can pick it, I'm not picky with food." Having Haleigh around, always calmed Blaze. She didn't have to put up a wall around this woman, she felt and understood what life was about. **

"so, tell me about this fellow who kept you up this evening....an old friend of yours? I'm sure he's not as naggy as Carmen."

** Rolling her eyes, Blaze hated the mushy feelings, she was very anti -- love. But her eyes betrayed her real feelings. "I always thought you and Cam would hook up, how close you two were. Looks like Alex beat you to it." But of course Blaze only teased, she knew Hal didn't like Cam in that way, they were like siblings. **

:: It had been nearly an hour and a half spent in the livingroom before Cameron swooped Alexis off her feet and carried her into his bedroom. The two sex bots continued to go at it for a while as the sun began to peek up from behind the large skyscrapers and shine into the bedroom. ::

:: Alexis was ontop of Cameron, her legs strattling around him. The sun kissed her bare back as moans escaped the meta human's lips. Leaning down, she kissed his lips as her breath quickened...but suddenly, flashes of that night in The Citadle entered her mind. Adam's image on the crackling screen from the morgue. The smell of Old Spice almost seemed wash over the entire room, making Alexis begin to panic. Closing her eyes allowing her head to rest on Cameron's shoulder...she continued to do what she was doing..not really being able to control what was happening. It was streaming into her head so fast..everything was happening at once. Screaming began to echo in her mind from the first night she killed her father. Then blood.....Adam grabbing Alexis and forcefully threatening her....Her hugging her father to further incriminate herself to The Six in the biolab....then finally stabbing her father in the throat with the shard of metal. Screaming, Alexis pushed herself off of Cameron, fear written all over her face. ::

:: Panting, Alexis climbed off the bed, grabbing one of Cameron's white button down shirts that happened to be lying next to the bed. Bending down, she quickly grabbed it and began to slip it on. ::

"I have to go."

:: With a quickened pace, Alexis left the bedroom and headed down the hall to the livingroom. Grabbing her clothing on her way to the door, she found herself basically running out of Cameron's apartment, slamming the door behind her. Stopping, Alexis stood in the hall hearing the faint conversation between Blaze and Haleigh from down the hall. Gulping, her breathing began to slow as she closed her eyes and leaned back against Cameron's door; extending her neck back taking one last deep breath. ::

"I knew you would find a way to continue torturing me..."

:: Spoken softly by the distraught woman. ::

Haleigh sensed they'd tread into a sensitive subject... and was ready to lead them right out again. Haleigh was never good with the whole comforting thing, not for a while anyway. She knew what to say and what to do... but it always seemed... manufactured, coming from her. Its not like she was a master of the whole love thing anyways... Haleigh would rather spend all day doing rocket-science.... literally. She brushed the topic away.

"Well you know... at least you KNOW what you want. Nothing's worse than being confused all the time. That whole 'star-crossed' lovers bit isnt for everyone. I mean, look at me... I don't think i've ever had love.... but it works for me. I'm successful, I'm powerful, I'm rich. I could have any man I want... and twice! But... I just think it would work for me. Such a VULNERABLE position you are when you're falling in love. I can't believe people think its healthy."

Haleigh smiled at Midnight... such an adorable cat... he was living it up. "Yes... he's quite the playboy. Ugh... Morgan. No offense... but your sister is like a cross between Madonna and Adolf Hilter. I can't believe you can WORK with that woman. Well... now that you mention it... lunch DOES sound nice. I've got a business meeting to attend first... an old collegue. Hey... you should come with me... get out of your life for a second... break away from Carmen and your work and your stress. I promise it'll be wonderfully scenic." Haleigh laughs as she mentions her escort for the night. "Zachary Armani... no, he's not related to the designer, haha. He works for me. Top notch field agent, one of my best. He's... a wonderful man. He takes care of my needs... and he's perfectly professional when we get back in the office. He's charming... handsome... and he's foreign darling, that's a plus. ;) I don't think we're to the part where he gets clingy and i get restless yet.... its... nice. Oh Blaze... you should go to your club... not as the owner... as a customer. experience the bliss. we should go tonight. don't say no."

Haleigh half-laughed, half scoffed. What was up with all the insinuations lately about her and Cam? Did people think it impossible for two gorgeous people to go to lunch [and dinner] and out for drinks and to each other's apartment and NOT be having sex? She was about to retort when she realized blaze was just kidding. She smirked and teased right back, not one to be left with nothing to say.

"Yes, shame it is. You know I can't sleep with him now that Alexis has slimed all over him. Pity... it would've done him good to know what a REAL woman is like." Haleigh never did like ANY of the women she saw Cam with... maybe it was a hint of jealousy... yeah, and maybe the Pope lives again. More likely, she was just being over protective of him. None of the women seemed to match up to her standards... and she never missed an opportunity to tell him as much. it was often 'too tall.' or 'too leggy.' or 'too perky, and SHE'S after your money.'

quick getaway

<<moving out to the large sunken in living room that over looks another view of manhattan .....the wall of floor to ceiling crystal windows provide an uninteruppted view of the skyline and beyond....the moon seems to "watch" as the sorceress prepares leave. leaving the lights off, Morgan moves to a far, darkened corner of the room...where her scrying glass floats in the air...shimmering in the moonlight. crystaline droplets hang down around the mystic lens, providing a more bewitching feel and as Morgan comes closer...the lens begins to glow and pulsate>>

i better figure out just WHERE in Limbo im going. those creatures that i saw....they seem to be interminable and i couldnt possibly fight them all off forever while trying to find Ororo's garden

<< Morgan was distracted by tinkerbell who mewed and called out to her. As morgan looked back and noticed Tinkerbell manifesting her own talents as a familiar ......using the power of vision to form a picture of the rest of the Six>>

<< Morgan was not amused>>

Tinkerbell......they are not going to help me. All they will do is get in the way. Now be a good kitty and DO NOT inform them.

<< she dismissively waved Tinkerbell away and turned her attention to the scrying glass...as she gestured and focused her energy.... the mystic lens soon shimmered and beared images of Limbo....shifting from one area to the next before finally revealing Ororo's garden>>

THERE IT IS!!

<< Morgan stood back, wearing a one should strapped midriff bearing leather top with silver accents, a platinum wrist cuff on the wrist opposite the shoulder strap , a black leather mini along with silver heeled black stillettos that support her bare, flawless legs...Morgan looked fierce. her hair was now bone straight and parted down the middle...>>

<<bending down to pick up Tinker, she cuddles with her while petting her head>>

now i shouldnt be too long. so dont worry. I'm going to help Ororo save Alison....you be a good kitty and guard the penthouse while im gone.

<< kissing Tink on her forehead before setting her down on the plush carpeted floor...Spellbinder looks back at the scrying glass and with a crack of thunder, a stepping disc opens at floor level horizontally and rises up...encompassing Morgan. As she teleports to Limbo...the disc closes with the faint sound of chimes in the air. Tinkerbell looks on....tilting her head and turning her ears back a bit...before slowly walking off into another part of the house>>

"All right, its a date then." That signature devilish smile smeared over her full nude lips. It usually meant Blaze was up to something. Finishing her glass of whine, she stood up. Walking over to Haleigh, she perked a curious brow. "Nice shirt you have there, it should really come off." Laughing quickly, Blaze turned to climb the spiral staircase, "I'll change and then we can go." She said softly, the old stairs creaking. **

** Fifteen minutes later, Blaze walked down the stairs with a semi -- casual attire with black slacks and a plumeria turtleneck. Her look more softer and a bit feminine. But she still contained that irresistible charm about her. "I'm ready to go sexy." Jumping off the couch, Midnight ran up to Blaze, who gently picked him up to her arms, "you try and behave Mid." She kissed her kitty on the forehead, who purred loudly. **

"Well, Morgan is Morgan, she's her own diva, but underneath it lays a vulnerable woman. She'll never show it though, only to a select few in her secret garden. I have no need to be catty unless I'm figuring out someone's intentions. I keep it simple and laid back, but for some reason everyone from the six feels I'm exactly like my sister, which obviously is a rumor."

** Putting Midnight down, he ran and tumbled onto the carpet, playing with a toy mouse. Locking eyes with Haleigh, Blaze awaited for her, "lead the way Hal, you know I'll follow." **

"What, I can't come watch?" Haleigh jeered in a tone that almost sounded serious, as she uncrossed and then recrossed her legs the other way for comfort. she looked aroudn the apartment for 15 minutes, waiting for Blaze to get back. She laughed at the sexy comment, flipping her hair witha hint of attitude.

"Oh good... I think your sister what about to come around the corner and grill me about bringing you back by eleven. Pfft... YOUR sister, vulnerable? WELL... is she any NICER to those in her 'secret garden'? Because she's the most condescending person I know. And I know Russell Crowe too. Don't forget your coat, its a little chilly there this time of year."

Haleigh smiled knowingly. She led Blaze downstairs where a chauffer waited to take them to a nearby regional airport. She refused to disclose the place they were going that they had to fly to get to... and simply seated blaze in the luxurious cabin of a lear jet. the flight was a couple hours long and pretty uneventful, as the two talked about random stuff and Haleigh completely avoided giving away their location. As the captain informed them that they were entering the approach pattern for landing, Hal went to the back to change out of her jeans and into pin striped business pants. As she came back, she was pulling a matching jacket over her button down and Blaze caught a glimpse of metal, which she could expertly identify as a Walther P22 strapped into a shoulder harness... which would also undoubtedly raise curiousity about the nature of the business meeting. Haleigh buckled up and gave a reassuring smile.

After they landed, haleigh pulled a silver metal briefcase from the over head compartment and beckoned blaze as the airplane door slid open. haleigh pulled a coat on over suit.... it was cold here, enough to see your breath evaporate.

"You may feel as those you've seen those snow-capped mountains in the distance.... you've probably seen photography of them.... Those are the Swiss Alps."

:: After calming down, the distraught meta human pushed off of Cameron's door and made her way back to her own apartment which was down the hall. Opening the door, Alexis made her way into her home closing the door behind her. She needed to get her mind off of this...Everything was going so well with Cameron, my god he was a tiger in bed. But every now and again she would slip back into the past, allowing her father to effect her as if he were still alive. After the first time she "killed" her father, she was diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder....and damnit, the same things that happened back there were slowly beginning to happen now. But knowing what to do after going through it those 10 years ago, Alexis knew she had to get her mind on something else and not let her father control her even in the afterlife. ::

:: Sighing, Alexis made her way through her livingroom and into the hall leading to her bedroom. Athena, her black Great Dane could sense something was wrong with her owner, so she jumped off her couch (yes, the dog as her own couch :D), and follwed Alexis to her bedroom. Throwing her clothing on the ground, Alexis sat down on her bed...and there to greet her, was of course, Athena. Smiling down at her faithful companion, she began to pet the giant dog lovingly, immediatly feeling her stress leave her body. ::

"You're such a good girl, Athena."

:: Smiling once more, she leaned forward and kissed the dog ontop of her mussel, only to have the dog lick her face. Laughing, she shook her head and sat back up. ::

"You always know how to cheer me up. Go on...i'm fine."

:: Patting her head once last time, Athena knew her master was feeling better. Heading over to her dogbed in the corner of the room, she made herself comfortable and laid back down. Standing up, Alexis slowly began to unbutton Cameron's white dress shirt....she did feel horrible for just running out on him, but Alexis was not the one to have a breakdown--even a minor one--infront of others. Gently slipping out of the large shirt, she tossed it onto her bed, now walking to her closet. She had to get out of this apartment. Even if it was almost morning, she could always go into work late.....perhaps Hellfire? She actually hadn't been there since Blaze opened it, there was no need too. The girl had wall pounding music on 24/7, she felt like she was in a damn club anyway. Either way, she needed time to relax and calm down, so Hellfire it was. Opening her closet door, she walked in and began to scan her wardrob for the perfect attire. ::

:: About 20 minutes later, after a quick shower to rinse off her body, and a change of clothing, Alexis emerged from her bedroom dressed in a somewhat casual way, wearing jeans and a cami. Walking into the livingroom, she headed over to her kitchen to grab her cell that she had left their earlier that night. Running her fingers through her stick straight blonde locks before reaching the island, she then grabed her cell, placed it in her gold clutch, and turned on her heal heading back to the door. Opening it, she stepped back out into the hallway and turned around to lock her door. Looking down the hall towards Cameron's apartment, she only hoped she could make a clear get away so she didn't have to explain herself and what happened...she just need a little time alone without a game of twenty questions for the guy she just screwed. ::

"No, she's icy and bitchy to those who are not privileged into her select few. You have to give her time Hal, you'll eventually see. Although I think I'm more easy to talk to than my sister."

** At the mention of a coat, Blaze nodded in agreement. Turning at the hip, she reached for her black trench coat. Putting it on slowly, it draped past her knees with the collar flipped up, giving that mysterious look about her. Tying the belt in place, Blaze followed Haleigh to the car outside. **

"Aren't we fancy and well to do?"

** Her tone supplying that same sense of playfulness it contained earlier. Although curiosity reared its ugly head, Blaze remained silent. She knew Hal wouldn't speak of the target location they would be arriving to. Slumping down on the soft cushion of the limo, she tried to peer outside of the dark tinted windows, but found it to no avail. Glancing back at Hal with a serious expression, she wondered where they were going. But Blaze trusted her friend, which was very unlikely for her. Something both herself and Morgan shared, a lack of trust with people. Noticing the car gently roll to a stop, Blaze noticed a luxurious looking jet. Piecing the puzzle together, she was more than curious to know. **

"All right, I give up! Where are we going for this meeting?"

**While boarding the jet, Blaze glared at her friend who refused to disclose any information on the location. Bucking her seat belt, she was in awe at such a sight. She always rode on regular airline planes but never like this. She was beginning to feel like a VIP or even a celebrity. The two chatted for a while with Blaze glancing out the window, enjoying the scenery of the white puffy clouds. For a business meeting, Blaze did find it odd why Hal's brought a gun, maybe protection? She gave up harassing Hal with questions, but once they smoothly landed she looked out the window. Her brows furrowing together, where were they? Unbuckling her seat belt, she stood up to stretch. **

"Your lucky I love flying."

** Stepping off the plane, Blaze pulled her coat tightly around her body. Purposely blowing her breath when she locked eyes onto Haleigh for a reaction, "spill." She urged, her tone revealing that same curiosity **

"I'm sorry what?"

** Her green eyes going wide when she turned to spot the wintery mountains, piled high with snow. Raising another brow, Blaze grinned, "yeah, you just wanted to be ALL alone with me!" She purposely smacked her hip into Haleigh's, "this is...beautiful but a bit cold. I should have brought my gloves." Placing both hands into her pockets, she couldn't believe where they were, "well, you have my attention. But you'll have to keep me warm, its rather chilly here." She teased again with a wink. **

Meanwhile in Newport

< Dr. Erika King stepped out of the Newport Beach Police Department and made her way to the parking complex to go home after a long day of work. She had been assisting the Police Department in catching a serial killer who left a series of clues all over Newport Beach so intricate that it had been almost imposisble to catch him. But with the help of Erika's extensive knowledge on Profiling Serial Killers and with her Doctrine in Criminal Psychology, she had been able to point the crew in the right direction and they were now dead on the case. It wasn't solved yet but it was close. Erika pressed the elevator button to bring her to the top floor in the complex and waited. She brushed off her Donna Karan business suit and looked at her reflection in the Silver Walls of the Elevator Doors. Erika wasn't the lead in fashion trends and she couldn't even believe that she had bought the suit herself, but with her recent success around Newport and it's reputation as being a very luxurious and expensive place, she gave into the peer pressure and bought herself a wardrobe for her public appearances and for around the office. Her hair was pulled tightly back into a french bun as tresses fell down by her ears. The elevator dinged and Erika stepped inside and was ready to go home and take a nice long bubble bath. It had been a hard day and the last thing she wanted was more unecessary drama. She reached the top floor and got the keys from out of her bag as her body suddenly completely tensed up. Her magickal alarms were going off all over the place and the sudden drop in temperature led her to believe that she was not alone. She stood her ground as icy winds crept across her face, her eyes already glowing a pale silver. >

"Come out, come out wherever you are.."

< She saw something from the corner of her eye as she instantly turned around to see who was there, but there was nothing to be seen. Erika took a moment to ponder what could possibly want to attack her. Granted she had vanquished plenty of demons in her day, but most of them knew not to mess with her. This couldn't have been a demon at all. This was Mystech. Erika felt it in her bones. Just then the wind grew extremely fast and acted as razors as it blew her back and cut her face several times leaving bloody gashes on the flawless woman's facade. However, as quickly as the marks appeared, they were gone as they glowed a bright white for a split second before fading as if they had never been there at all. Erika was a witch that only practiced the good side of magick and for that her gifts had always treated her well. Her healing powers were rivaled against nobody as tested when she onced revived a dead woman after saving her from a demon. Erika tried to live a normal life, but when trouble came to her doorstep, she didn't runaway. She got up from the ground as she looked around. Whatever it was, was nowhere to be seen. Erika began to speak in a fast and even tone as she ignited a locating spell. >

"Magicks of the pure and white, reaching out through space and light, bring the hidden unto me, so that my vision can clearly See!"

< Just like that the cars in the parking lot faded away for an instant as she saw what appeared to be a Shadow Demon hiding behind one of the cars a few feet away. Erika wasted no more time. She couldn't risk being discovered as a witch on top of the parking complex of a Police Station. She would be turned in for sure. Her form became completely clear as her body transformed into a pool of water as she rushed over to the Shadow Demon. Reappearing behind the Demon, she whispered in it's ear. >

"Boo!"

< The Demon jumped as it instantly turned to her, it's Shadowy Whip ready to attack her at any moment. It lashed out at her arm as she quickly turned it into water, allowing the jagged strands to pass right through her. She lifted her hands as she unleashed a powerful bolt of magick force at the Demon sending him flying backwards into a pillar. She rushed forward chanting a spell she had recited so many times she didn't even think about it anymore. >

"For this demon in the dark, let light take him and depart. By the Goddess, he cannot stay, so let his night turn into day!"

< The Shadow Demon seemed stopped in it's tracks as it began to shake violently and seizure as blasts of light seemed to pour out from the inside of his body before he became trapped in complete light. He screamed an unearthly and ear curdling scream before exploding into the light, leaving nothing but a pile of dust behind. Erika looked around. Nobody had seen her. Her secret was still safe. She quickly unlocked her jet black Beamer with the press of a button and climbed in wanting desperately to get home. Why was Mystech after her? Why was Mystech acting out at all? She had seen The Six destroy them both. Erika knew that Mystech was now after her to get to Alison and Cameron, which meant Mommie Dearest was either out and about or about to released. Erika had to finally break her word. She had to break the spell. She had to make them remember who she was. Their sister. She pondered the thoughts as she drove down the beachside highway on the way back to her home. Things were about to get interesting. >

:: It had been an amazing night filled with things Cameron would remember for quite some time. Just as the sun began to peak from the skyscraper and things were heating up once more, Alexis jumped off of Prophet, quickly put on one of his shirts and ran out of the room. Normally, Cameron would have followed, but he knew exactly what was going on with Shockwave. She was still experiencing things from the Citadle, about Adam Chandler. He saw the Images that she had seen and while they shocked him as well, he couldn't begin to feel the amount of pain and remorse that Alexis was feeling right now. His chest moving up and down, he began to look at the clock. It was almost 4 o'clock in the morning and not a stir could be heard from anywhere around him. Today was going to be a busy day as he had a Press Conference to go to about the Opening of the Parthenon. Blaze, Morgan, Vivica and himself were going to promote the club along with some of the Agencies Models and Celebrity Endorsements. Blaze would go first since she was the Senior Campaign Manager, followed by a speech from Vivica and himself, and finishing off with Morgan who would give her seal of approval in a very phony yet very effective speech. It had all been planned meticulously by Blaze and Vivica. Those two were workhorses and he loved them for it. He was extremely surprised with Blaze's ability to work with Vivica and the other so well after what she had went through with the Citadle and Christopher Victory. He never asked her about it for fear that it would be too painful. Still there was about a million things to do and Cameron was going to need to get up and get his day started. He put on a pair of sweat shorts and headed to his gym area before turning around, knowing that he was forgetting something. Remembering he stopped dead in his tracks before heading to the kitchen. He got out some pet food and began pouring it in the dish. As the sound of kibble hit the dish, paws could be heard running across the floor as Hercules, Cameron's new pet, a german shepard puppy, came crashing from the living room before wiping out and sliding right next to his dish. Prophet shook his head and laughed before propping the pup back on his feet. ::

"Come on Ladykiller, eat and try not to kill yourself, eh?"

:: Hercules looked Cameron right in the face before one ear flopped down and his head turned to the side. Bored with Cameron, he began to ravish the dish of food. Cameron smirked before heading to his personal gym. After a work out including some kick boxing and martial arts along with weight lifting and crunches, Cameron hopped into the shower to drain off his sweat. As he looked at the clock it read 6 AM. It was time to get dressed and call Vivica to make sure she was on track, which she probably was. Cameron got dressed in a very nice stylish business suit with no tie and a dark blue blazer underneath. The look gave him a very updated and business appropriate Miami Vice look. Since he was opening a Hotel and he was advocating to a younger set, he wanted to look the part and he did, taking the Cell Phone off of his nightstand and simply saying the word "Vivica". The phone rang once as the Vivica's voice could be heard. ::

Vivica: Cameron, I am up and ready for the conference. It starts at noon and I would like to be there by 10:45 sharp to make sure everything is set up. I need you to call both Blaze and Morgan so that they are aware and know what to do and bring, but for now I have to go meet with the coordinators of the event. Talk to ya later sweets.

:: He could only sigh and shake his head. He didn't even give him time to respond to her. Pressing the end button he first called Morgan and then Blaze, getting both of their Vocemail's before leaving them a similar message telling them to meet Vivica and himself at 54th and Broadway for the Press Junket. It was an important event and he was counting on them, no matter how much he told himself that he shouldn't. Dusting off his suit to make sure it was lint free before sending a telepathic message to Haleigh as he didn't sense her in the buildings ::

"So Hales, I'm sitting here with this thought of hunger and I thought what better way to get rid of that than breakfast with you? Whaddya say?"

:: About two hours had passed since Alexis up and ran from Cameron's apartment. Sitting at the bar in Blaze's new club, Hellfire, Alexis sat alone calming her nerves with a good old fashion....diet coke. Yeah, she would of loved to drown her past away with a glass full of Brandy, but she had to stick to the 12 step cha cha, otherwise she was in even deeper shit. Picking up her glass, she finished off the last of her diet coke, placing the glass back down upon the bartop and pushing it forward. Sitting back against the back of her chair, the club had calmed since she first arrived--hell, calm is an understatement. The club was dead. Other than a couple making out in the corner, two gay men dancing to "We Are Family" in the middle of the dance floor, and a man sitting on the other side of the bar, everyone was pretty much done for the night. Closing her eyes, the meta human took a deep breath in and held it for a few moments, before exhaling. But of course, her moment of peace was short lived when the scrummy looking guy that was sitting way off to her left came hobbling over. "He.."

:: Not even opening her eyes, the moment she heard his horse voice, she interupted him knowing what he was going to say. ::

"Not in a thousand years."

:: The guy stopped, looking over Alexis. :: "Bitch." :: Walking past her, he headed out of Hellfire. Shaking her head, Alexis opened her eyes and gazed towards the eneterence of the club, seeing him walk out. Rolling her eyes, she sat forward once again reaching for her purse. Zipping it open, she took out her cell and flipped it open seeing it was nearly 6am in the morning. Sighing, she closed her phone and tossed it back into her purse. ::

"Who needs sleep anyway?"

:: Grabbing her purse off the table, she slipped off the barstool and began to head to the exit. Before the bartender could say anything about payment, Alexis lifted her hand in a dismissing manor as she left. ::

"Put it on my tab."

:: Walking out of Hellfire, Alexis squinted her eyes from the brightness of the morning sun. Another day gone...and another arrived. Stepping up to her Jaguar, she awaited her driver to open her door to head home and get dressed for work. ::

"No Ace... You've got that backwards. YOU are lucky you love flying, see, because if you didn't I STILL would've beguiled you into coming, and then you would've just been uncomfortable the entire flight." Haleigh laughed as Blaze suggested that she only wanted to get her alone, as she opened the trunk of a sleek black Aston Martin DB9. It was obviously one of her favorite vehicles, for Blaze would remember she had not one but TWO back home [in business appropriate and fun appropriate colors respectively. ;)] She shut the trunk with a muted thud and took Blazes hand, kneeling for suspense. "Well, actually, you see... I have a very important question to ask you.... and... I wanted you to have a nice story to tell your girlfriends about this moment. Will you... uh.. hehe... would you be willing to try new foods?" she stood again with a devlish smirk, leading Blaze to the passenger side of the sports car, opening the door and waiting for her to get in. "Keep you warm? Hmmm... I wonder what on earth I might do to accomplish that." She shut the car door promptly, walking around to the driver side and getting in. The car was already warmed up when they got in, which was a plus. Cameron's thoughts crept into her head. She smiled briefly, then put the car into gear and began to take them on a very scenic route from the airport into the city. Natalie Merchant's "Carnival" plays softly from the car sound system.

Good Morning Stud. You're getting very good at this head stuff. Listen... you know, I'd LOVE to take you up on that offer.... but I'm not exactly in the area right now. Raincheck? What happened to Alexis, weren't you two?

"Hey Blaze... I just thought you'd enjoy a taste of the old lifestyle. This is a sales transaction... I'm sure you know vaguely how these go. Mr. Frederik and I go way back, I knew him in my Navy days... Of course... I look a lot different now... and he doesnt know its me... So if you could call me Lara for a while... I would greatly appreciate it."

:: Cameron winced at the thought of what had happened between Alexis and himself. How could they have done it again? He shook it off as he shot back at Haleigh, now being able to sense where she was and who she was with. He rolled his eyes and almost blew a few bolts as he figured out that she was FLYING when in about two or three hours, Blaze had to be at a Press Junket for Illustra with Morgan, Vivica and himself. ::

"Hales! You were flying!?! You were flying with the Senior Ad Campaign Manager who has a Press Junket to attend with Illustra and King Enterprises in two hours!?!? Get her back to New York! This is too important to miss! Don't think I am being coy! Morgan would kill her too! Get her back on land or I will make YOU face Morgan and Vivica about Blaze not being there. She is the first one UP!"

:: He shook his head as he looked at his watch which now read 9:45 am. That meant that if they were supposed to meet up before the meeting at 10:45, Haleigh would have an hour to get Blaze back to Illustra for them to set up and meet with some of the press before hand. It was only good business. Cameron sent another message back at Haleigh just to make sure she understood, picking up on her thoughts ::

"Look Lara, can't you go on a GUN run later? This is my business! I don't mean to be rude love, but I need Blaze with me there..."

< Erika pulled into her driveway as she parked in the garage. As she got out of her car she entered her house as she set the keys down in the bowl next to the back door and headed straight up her curved staircase and into the master bedroom. She began to undress as she hid behind an ornate Japanese Clothing Rack and let her long brown hair down which now reached to almost her lower back. She just didn't have the heart to cut something so beautiful. She slipped into a white spaghetti strap shirt and a pair of black sweatpants. Though she had originally wanted to take a bath and unwind, she realized that this wasn't really an option at the moment. She had to figure out what exactly was happening with Cameron and Alison. Erika needed to see that they were alright. She had spent so much time and energy ensuring their future that she didn't want anything to mess it up. As she closed the French Double Doors to her bedroom, Erika turned the corner and walked down the hall all the way to a wall with a picture of the Ocean that Erika had taken herself and a houseplant next to it. With a wave of her hand, the wall dissappeared and a door appeared in front of her. She turned the handle as she headed up one more flight of stairs before she stopped in the middle of her attic. This is where Erika weaved her craft. She had a beautiful bay window installed so that she was closer to the window. During her rituals in the Summer she kept the windows Open so that she could literally smell the water and the beach. She walked to the middle of the room where a rather large book on an antique stand was held. This was Erika King's Book of Shadows. While she still had her mother's, she kept it protected by a seal of magick in her altar so that nobody would be able to take it. She had tried to destroy it but her mother's magick was still too strong. It shocked at her touch. Flipping through the pages she came to the right spell. Waving her hand in the air a large pool of water formed in front of her and the book as it began to swirl slightly around resembling a calm whirlpool as she chanted the right spell. >

"Healing waters of the skies, bring your wisdom to my eyes, let me see what I desire, and let my vision never tire..."

< Her pool of water began to reflect the night skies as it seemed to be moving in and out. The view began to become a bird eye's view of the world as it shot down and through the clouds, the city of New York could be seen. She could see Cameron in his new apartment. It was a pretty nice place, though she had a feeling it was somewhat giving his ego an uneeded boost. She saw that he was preparing for a Press Junket with his hotels. She was really proud of him for what he was accomplishing and it hurt her that she could never really show it. She waved her hand once more, trying to focus on Alison. Knowing the trouble she suffered in the Citadle, she wanted to make sure that her older sister was okay. However when she did this she got a very dark feeling. She saw a dark purple sky with cracks of lightning in a moutainous desert scape. Erika felt afraid and scared, almost tempted by the Magick. Just then a crack of Dark Lightning blasted out from the puddle of water as Erika was blasted back, breaking her fall on a nearby couch. Lightning was blasting out of the portal like nothing. Could it be Kelly? She screamed at the top of her lungs. >

"Goddess Close Portal!"

< Erika's bright silver eyes faded as tears ran down her cheeks. She hated the way dark magick felt. It was so tempting and sinful. Whatever she had tapped into, she never wanted to do again, but she couldn't help but think that maybe that was where she had banished her mother, and what was worse was that she might have Alison with her. It was time. Erika had to go to New York. She had to stop this before it got too out of hand. It was time for a Family Reunion. >

** Watching Haleigh open up the trunk of the black Aston Martin DB9, she recalled seeing one back home at the apartment complex. Raising a brow while her eyes gleamed once she took Blaze's hand, getting down on her knees. **

"Hals! Come now, don't embarrass yourself by asking me that question. You know I'm NOT into relationships."

** Her grin was sinister as she retorted back, she couldn't allow Haleigh to get the last jest in. Winking to her comrade playfully. Walking to the passenger side she laughed once Hals opened it up for her, "awww, aren't you so sweet?" Leaning in, she gently kissed Haleigh on the cheek, causing the pilot of the jet to frown. Sitting down in the car, she cackled while putting her seat belt on. Turning to see Haleigh get in. **

"Nice wheels you've got here. And warm too, I would think these leather seats were heated. It reminds me of the old SUV I had, the infinity." Resting her head back into the head rest, "Its so beautiful here, do you come here often?" She asked casually, hiding her curiosity from within her tone. Turning her neck to peek out the windows, she saw the trees and mountains move by quickly. The mention of the name Laura caught her attention, who quickly locked eyes with Haleigh. Green meeting Blue for what seemed mere minutes. **

"Laura....all right then, does Ms. Croft have a last name too? I knew a Laura back on my missions. She was such a little lynx." Biting down on her lower lip, Blaze remembered such a woman with long brown hair and beautiful brown eyes, "she was stunning...a gorgeous creature. I worked with her a couple of times, but not by the name Blaze, back then I was referred to as Nikita. I had dyed my hair sunlight blonde and wore colored blue contacts. I used to work for an organization called Section One. I was a field agent....forced into doing whatever I was ordered as a level 7. My codename was Josephine....but the life was hard. Morgan saved me from the clutches of being canceled as I told you earlier. But when she did get to me, I had been gunned down. Her magicks restored my wounds, and luckily I lived. It was my old partner, Michael, who had come to finish the job. What made that hard was we were close in Section One, we had a budding romance. Although I think he slept with me to get Intel for Section One."

** Pausing for a minute when she remembered her cell phone, she had forgotten that she turned it off. Reaching into her long black leather trench coat, Blaze pulled out a small black and red Motorola flip phone. Turning it on as the beginning opening of Bitter Sweet Symphony played by the Verve. "Got a voicemail." Accessing her voice mail, Blaze listened to the message as her eyes went wide, "fuck!" She cursed quickly, "I forgot about the meeting today, oh dear..." Her mind raced to find a solution to this travel disaster, "Hals, you don't suppose you can somehow get us back home before noon? Cam, Viv, and Morg will kill me if I'm not there." Deleting Cameron's message, she got out of her voicemail service. **

"If not I'm sure I can teleport us...the perks of being a mutant."

- Though many believed Mystech to be over and done with after the sealing of the Citadle, it had been quite the opposite. It seems the Six had underestimated the sphere of influence the Corporation had over the world. While Mystech was not at full power, there were some units and divisions that were back up and running, and one in particular was back in action and planning something very bad. It was the Ex Agents Division who were responsible for figuring out who had been exterminated in the attack and who was able to be reanimated. Normally there was no magick involved in this job, but today, the Division had a Special Assignment. They were to bring back Agent Kelly King, Codename Witchfire. An agent who was under the employment of the Axis of Evil along with such other agents such as Black, Marauder and Nitrell. She had been a secret weapon, working her sway over dark magick so well that many didn't even know she existed. She was at the top of her game when she was given an assignment to kill two of her children as they had been foreseen as a threat to Mystech and the work that they produced. Without hesitation the cold hearted snake of a woman went into action but hadn't anticipated her other daughter stepping her in and Banishing her from the realm of Earth all together, thus securing the future of her two children, Cameron and Alison and the constitution of the Six. For over ten years she had been locked away in an unknown dimension with Scientists and Warlocks of Mystech working desperately to free her and let her continue on with her assignment. It had been a series of failures. Until Now. -

- The Warlocks had finally been able to bring her back as they sat in one of the many secret chambers of the Citadle working the spell that would transport her back to Earth. The room was completely dark save for a few candles and and men in hooded robes chanting over and over in a different language all together. In front of them was a circle that contained a reverse spiral. As the warlocks united in speech, the Spiral began to glow an iradescent red as it shot up and became a three dimensional column. The room was illuminated as the chanting continued louder and harder. The flawless form of a woman began to materialize bit by bit within the column, looking much like a computer animation of some sorts. The body continued to form as it was revealed to be Witchfire herself, Kelly King. Her black boots hit the ground with a soft click as her hair was flowing in the air due to the magicks being worked around her. Her eyes were of a bright silver. She was wearing her team uniform which was a form fitting body suit of red and black, as she looked down at the Warlocks still chanting away. She rolled her eyes and kicked one of them dead in the face with her boots. -

"You can STOP your damn chanting now! I'm here! Though I COULD have done it without you, and I was close too.. I know this sounds cliche, but TAKE me to your LEADER!"

- Her voice was cold and spiteful as she spoke to them all in a condescending tone as if they were nothing but mere bugs for her to squash. Kelly King was back. And she was ready for Revenge. -

:: Cameron wondered how exactly they were going to be able to return in time. As much as he hated having to do this, he was going to need to ask Morgan for a Stepping Disc to get Blaze back to Illustra as soon as possible. Sighing, he left his apartment, locking the door and making sure it was secure so that Hercules didn't get out. He got in the elevator and pressed the word T which stood for top floor. Those who were part of the Six knew that if they pressed the button it would take them to Morgan's apartment. As he sat there waiting, he was figuring out what he would say to all Ms. Victoria. They were never on the best of terms, but he knew that she took business as seriously as he did and would most likely perform the task if not just for her sister. ::

:: The Elevator made a dinging sound as the doors slid open to reveal a long hallway at the end of which were the large double doors to Morgan's Penthouse. He could instinctively feel the coldness that radiated from the doors. He laughed to himself and commented on the situation ::

"And so the lamb goes willingly into the Lion's Den.. Let us pray for him..."

:: He approached closer and closer to the doors and when he went to reach for them he was blasted back unknowingly by the Warding Spell Morgan had placed on the door to keep intruders out. Cameron got quickly to his feet as he looked at the doors, shaking his head. He called out in annoyance for the witch to come to him since he obviously wasn't getting to her anytime soon. ::

"MORGAN! Hello?! Are you There?"

:: There was no answer. Perhaps she had already left? He tried her cellphone but instantly got her voicemail. Prophet found himself at a dead end. Two of his most important people in the Mission were Missing in Action, though he figured Morgan had already left. Shaking his head, he went back in the elevator, looking at the clock which read 10:15 am. As the doors closed and he headed for the main lobby where he would be picked up and driven to the Press Junket he prayed that everyone would show up on time and in good form. ::

=======================================================================

And So with Morgan and Blaze missing in action, and Cameron and Vivica left to fend for themselves, the day continues. With trouble brewing, a Desperate Erika King makes her way to New York as Witchfire rears her ugly head, ready to take the bounty that is rightfully hers. The Press Junket is in Fifteen Minutes and PROMISES to be an eventful one. The Rest of the Six would continue throughout their days normally, some planning on going to the Press Junket and maybe some staying home to rest, either way they could find some interesting things happening.

[scoffs again]"Croft... don't be silly. It's Vaughn. But I doubt you'll be needing it. Huh... alright La Femme. Sounds like you had a bit of a crush on this Laura character. Well... Micheal is probably dead so he got what he deserved... but really.. its the nature of the business... a risk we all agree to, I suppose."

They drove through the city, passing the industrial cityscape and going back into woodlands. This was where they slowed, pulling into a drive that lead to Lake Zurich. A British Racing Green Mercedes was parked off to the side, and Haleigh parked right behind it. They were in a national park it seemed, and the forest broke away to reveal a picnic area with wooden tables looking out over the large lake. A Man sat at one of the tables, eating a sandwich of sorts. Haleigh got out of the car and motioned for Blaze to follow.

Cool your heels, Sport... we're already here. This'll take 15 minutes tops... then I'll have your precious Senior Ad Campaign Manager back... are you trying to threaten me? You should KNOW better. Tell Morgan and Vivica, I don't care. hey, why don't you ask M if she can send us a stepping disc? I'm sure she'll love that... and YOU can be the outlet for her first spike of Anger. Don't think you're adept at spinning the tables Cameron King. I don't appreciate your evasive tactics here. Alexis split again, didn't she? God damnit Cameron... she's too flightly... too skittish.

Here she went again. And if Cameron tried to argue, Haleigh could just drum up more negative things to convince him against Alexis... after all... she knew about as much of Alexis as cameron did... so this time she had ammo. Haleigh stood beside Blaze long enough to reassure her. "Don't worry Ace... I'll get us back. I know some people who specialize in express transportation... we'll have to forgo lunch though, I'm afraid." She pulled the metal case out of the trunk and walked off, expecting Blaze to be at her side. They strolled past the man eating, who stopped them and asked for the time.

"Doesn't time stand still out here, Sir?"

Haleigh asked, and the man nodded and stood up to greet them, introducing himself as Frederik.

** Blaze got out of the car with Haleigh, a grin plastered over her full sensual lips. "Well....there's no rush. After all good things are worth it!" She glanced down at her left wrist for the time. "Sometimes, its good to be late, it makes an entrance."

** As they spotted a man on the bench sitting, Blaze remembered her 55 pr magnum strapped to her ankle, she always carried it with her. She didn't bother risking anything or anyone. She made a habit of securing a gun on her body secretly. Her black slacks hide the larger gun, but it reassured Blaze who didn't trust anyone except a select few. Crossing her arms across her chest, her eyes scanned the thick evergreen trees for any spies of the sort. Loosening up a bit, she clasped her hands together at her waist instead. **

"Ace? I like the sound of that."

** She said before going quiet. Cracking her neck to the side, relaxing her tense muscles. Once the Junction Meeting was over, she would hurry to get herself a massage, she needed one. Patiently she let Hals and her friend discuss business. Her eyes continued to scan the surroundings, she was still that ground agent, even now. How she missed it, she was almost envious of Haleigh. But all in all, she went with the flow. **
