Adrianne Palicki ("Friday Night Lights") will star in the title role of "Wonder Woman," a new series pilot from David E. Kelley ("Boston Legal," "Ally McBeal," NBC's "Harry's Law").

The series pilot is a reinvention of the iconic DC Comics title in which Wonder Woman – a/k/a Diana Prince – is a vigilante crime fighter in Los Angeles but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.

Kelley and Bill D'Elia ("Boston Legal," "The Practice") are the executive producers. The pilot was written by Kelley and will be directed by Jeffrey Reiner (NBC's "The Event"). "Wonder Woman" is from David E Kelley Productions and Warner Bros. Television.

Palicki, who appeared as Tyra Collete in NBC"s acclaimed "Friday Night Lights," will star in the upcoming feature-film remake of Red Dawn. She also starred in the horror film Breaking the Girl and in the recent series "Lone Star."

While is is 6' tall she doesn't strike me as very amazonian

nah too waif-y, Power girl is either curvy or beefy, shes not overly muscled but shes always really jacked. What about Huntress?

Just looking at some pics...I was impressed. She is attractive, has been a brunette...tall, nice rack.

We will see.

I've never seen her in anything, but I hope she's good as Wonder Woman

I dont know...she's not the worse but I think there might have been someone better at the same time. She has the height but she's a little less "amazonian" than Lynda was in her time.

Still, I'm willing to wait and see how she looks in the actual WW costume.

AND I'm still hoping Kelly will do right and cast Lynda Carter as Hippolyta.

saw this on twitter and got to say the general reaction is she looks like a reject from the Justice League XXX movie. not ok for the work being done on major network TV show.

I think the costume sort of look s like the Jim Lee's recent design.

Not thrilled with it, makes me think "Power Ranger" or in this case, "Wonder Ranger".

Now, if it had been some nice Wonder Woman costume inspired lingerie... :fling:
