Okay, so when did Superman start acting like Batman? And how is this a reboot when there already seems to be backstory?

This is the back story, chronologically this arc takes place before all the other reboot titles so it at least 5-6 years in the past (since Justice League starts off 5 years past)

This is Superman when he was first starting off it's meant to be reminiscent of when her first appeared in the original Action Comics #1. When Superman first appeared he was very much a socialist crusader, like a was more socially aware Batman. We're supposed to see how he matures into the more relaxed, more powerful inspirational Superman of the present. Personally i loved the issue and am definitely going to pick up the trade for it.

Ah I didn't get that "in the past" stuff. And this 52 thing was supposed to make it EASIER for new readers to follow? lol

I guess at least he didn't drop the guy off a building and let him die...but still, I thought the story itself was a little ho-hum.

yeah it goes like this

Demon Knights (dark ages)

Action Comics (5-6 years ago/sometime before justice league and the appearance of all other heroes)

Justice League (explicitly said to be 5 years ago)

Everything else present day

If you haven't been reading the interviews with the writers and editors they explained all this nowhere lol

This was ok. I kinda like the Action Comics. But not my favorite from the reboot, but definitely not my least favorite.
