A Weekend Affair # 4 - The Black Gala

Ava could feel the air trying to enter her lungs, but it felt as if her chest was caving in, unable to breathe. How could this be happening again? She had come to terms with it the first time, but now? It felt like a slap in the face knowing that Haleigh was given this opportunity and quite literally fucked it up by getting pregnant by another man. She was now having two children. She was producing two heirs to the White and Red courts. Ava hunched over as she placed her hand against the tree, shutting her eyes. The Black court would never have a heir...

Ava refused to cry again, her breathing still labored as she kept herself upright with the help of the tree. On the outside she may have looked composed, but in the inside she was dying. Ava would give anything for what Haleigh was given twice. Her jealousy ran strong, and it made her furious that the White Queen held this much control over her emotions. That Haleigh’s mistake was Ava’s heartbreak. She had no idea what to do or think at that point, that was until she felt John’s familiar arms wrap around her from behind like a warm blanket on a frigid morning. Ava tensed, drawing in a sharp breath. She could feel him start to sway her, softly humming in her ear. Ava’s eyes remained shut, tilting her head toward his lips as she remained silent, letting his voice pull her away from the party and the pain.

John: “Dance with me.”

It sounded like an old 1940’s movie line finally making her steady facade waiver, knowing exactly what he was trying to do. She shut her eyes tightly in pain as she stopped the tears from coming before John turned her around. His arms were around her immediately, holding her tight as she looked up into his eyes. Wrapping her arms around his back, Ava hugged John close and rested her head against his chest, swaying with him as he continued to hum a soft melody of a familiar song. A few tears finally dropped onto her cheeks as she looked afar into the dark conservatory, dancing with him in silence for a few long and wonderful moments.

“Can we leave...Please...”

She finally whispered, wanting nothing more than to just be alone with her King.

Hellfire -- The Drawing Room

She told him she loved him, meaning it this time. He smiled but not for long, and his reply indicated he was prepared for her to backpedal again. She brushed his hair back gently.

“Alek.... I’m not taking it back this time.”

She said, and his gaze found hers again. What he said made her smile, and she leaned in to kiss him again, though somewhere in the back of her mind, doubt plagued her. Didn’t Cameron alway say the same things? Yet when push came to shove it was clear there were things her husband loved more than his wife. It was hard to trust the things men said, when the one she was supposed to be able to rely on, through good times and bad, was pushing her away when she needed him most.

She had no illusions about the Red King. He was not an emotionally connective type of guy, not from her experience. But he was here, he was supportive and sweet, and she wanted to believe he meant it, because then she wouldn’t feel so alone in this. Maybe he did mean it. At least for now, anyways. Until she fucked it up like she always did. She could hear her mother’s voice in her head, saying that her father couldn’t leave well enough alone either.

She pushed it back down, deciding she was done with today, and suggesting that she shouldn’t go back to the party, or the place that was supposed to feel like home, her suite or even the White Wing. Any of those places guaranteed a fight, and she didn’t have the patience for it. Alek rubbed her back, soothing her, agreeing she’d be safer at his place, though he also offered Ash’s, or a guest suite in the Red Wing. She considered the options, playing with his collar a bit.

“A guest room would be lonely, Ash’s crowded.... I’d rather stay with you...”

She said with a sly smile. And then, staring into his blue eyes, gravity set in.

“We created life...

The Drawing Room

She brushed his hair back with her fingers, and it gave him goosebumps.

Haleigh: “Alek.... I’m not taking it back this time.”

He told her he loved her, because he might not have another chance, she might decide tomorrow this was all hormones, and she really didn't mean it. She smiled, and kissed him, and it felt like they were really two lovers, about to have a baby. She was letting him keep holding her, as she suggested she shouldn't go back to her suite tonight. He hoped she would stay with him, but he didn't want to scare her or make her uncomfortable, so he gave her other options and let her decide.

Haleigh: “A guest room would be lonely, Ash’s crowded.... I’d rather stay with you...”

That made him smile wide.

"Then you will. For as long as you want."

She looked up into his eyes, and her smile faded into seriousness.

Haleigh: “We created life...

He pulled her against his chest in a hug, resting his head on top of hers.

"You were always destined to do the most amazing things. And so you have."

He leaned back so he could kiss her forehead, before looking into her eyes again.

"I hope she's exactly like you."

His hand slid down her arm to take her hand, and he gave her a smile with only a little salaciousness in it.

"Come on, let's get you settled in."

He escorted her towards the Red Wing, and once they were safely inside, told the guards that under no circumstances were any non members to be allowed admittance to the wing until he told them otherwise.

"That includes the White Knight."

Jack would have to spend his nights in the White Wing for the forseeable future. He suspected he and Heidi fucked in the Aqua Ring anyway. He also posted additional guards throughout the residential quarters.

When he and Haleigh came to his suite, Alek locked the door behind him, as well as the one that separated his and Ashley's suites, then slipped off his jacket and hung it over a chair. He came slowly towards Haleigh, resting his hands on her waist.

"You should get some rest."

Cameron had made a giant error. And Alek planned to capitalize on it.

The Conservatory

He knew she was hurting, and he also knew there wasn't anything he could do to make it stop. So he just tried to soothe her, let her feel his strength around her. He asked her to dance, so they could wrap their arms around each other, here in this place that gave her such strength. When he turned her around her eyes were shut, and it broke his heart to see her this way. Instantly his arms were back around her, one around her waist, the other squeezing her hand. Her eyes opened and looked up at him, and then her head was against his chest. They swayed together, him still humming lowly as they danced.

Ava: “Can we leave...Please...”

She whispered, child like. He rested his cheek on the top of her head.

"Of course."

Mingling and chit chat wasn't important now. Enjoying the party she had designed wasn't important now. Not even Cameron King was important.

"Take us home, my dearest love."

He knew she would probably rather die than walk through the party with all those eyes on her. So he held her tight, feeling the winds envelope them, and suddenly they were in their suite in the Black Wing. He pulled back so he could look at her face. He smiled, worried about her but trying to comfort her.

"I could draw you a bath?"

He took one dark curl between his fingers.

"Are you hungry? Do you want a drink?"

He searched his brain.

"I could go get Onyx...?"

Archer was MIA or dead, the White Queen was knocked up by two different Kings, and Brienne was one psycho White Princess whispering into her brother's ear away from being burned at the stake. Why did she always put herself in situations like this. You always look for trouble, Brienne. Even when there is no trouble to be found. Her grandmother's words echoing in her head as she moved swiftly down the Black Wing to her room, calling for the jet to be fueled. You feed off of it, like blood and bat. One day, it'll be your demise if you don't stop and think. Brienne's eyes were uncharacteristically glassy as she grabbed her suitcase and threw it on the bed, tossing in whatever clothes were laying on her bed into it. She was getting the fuck out of dodge.

Zach: "Leaving so soon?"

Startled, Brienne turned around with her hand on her chest, wide eyed looking at the White Rook standing in her room.

"Jesus fucking Christ. The white fucking walker of the Upper East Side."

She quipped with an exasperated tone. But Zach looked at her casually, not like he was there to try and kill her on Haleigh or Cameron's orders.

Zach: "You’ll miss Sunday Brunch, and the Red Party too. Not to mention I’ll be robbed of the pleasure of admiring your beauty.”

So NOW he wanted ass. How fucking quaint. Rolling her eyes, Brienne walked past him and to the dresser drawers, grabbing a couple fist fulls of panties.

"What can I say. The air quality here sucks."

She moved past him again, throwing her panties into the suitcase before stopping and gripping the edge of it. She was softly panting, her heart still racing. There had to be a way to fix this. She may have been a royal fuckup when it came to looking for trouble, but she was a powerful fuck up, and magick could fix everything. She could kill the babies. A miscarriage cause by 'natural stress' Haleigh was enduring from being stuck between two Kings. She could reverse everything and go back to the Red Hunt, not use her magick to heighten their emotions and whatever happened between them it wouldn't be on HER. Shaking her head, no...she couldn't. Erika and Cameron would be able to pick up on her magickal signature the way they had before. It was then she turned to look over her shoulder, seeing Zach was still standing there.

"Are you here on orders? If so, tell your King and Queen to fuck off. I'm leaving, so they no longer have to worry about the rogue Black Queen of Europe."

As much as she hated Archer for how he was fucking up this weekend, pushing everyone's buttons, and making them targets...Brienne was doing the same damn thing. They were so much alike it was fucking ridiculous. Now Archer was likely dead and Brienne was alone.

"You can also tell Juliette and Liam to enjoy the commercial flight back. [Brienne smirked at that] I'm taking the jet."

Her smirk faded as she picked up her suitcase full of panties and zipped it shut. Fuck it, she'd buy new clothes. Putting the suitcase on the floor, she turned around and looked at Zach. He was there, not because he liked her, but here was there....and she wasn't alone.

"Fuck it."

Brienne moved forward and grabbed Zach by the back of the neck, pulling him into a heated kiss. It was like an instant high, the mouth of a man on her, tasting him, feeling him, knowing that he wanted her on a primal level even if he didn't want her any other way. It was enough for Brienne, because that was what she had come to accept. Brienne shrugged her velvet blazer off before her hands returned to Zach, unbuttoning his white collared shirt and slipping her hands against his warm flesh under the material. She pulled back from the kiss, her lips going to his neck and down the front of his throat.

"Is this what you want..."

Her mouth was by his peck before she used her tongue to lick up his flushed skin before standing upright, eye to eye with him. Her fingers finished unbuttoning his shirt, pushing it off Zach's shoulders as her icy blue eyes were locked with his.

"White Rook?"

They danced for a little, swaying slowly as if the booming, club music wasn't playing in the background and some beautiful instrumental piece replaced it. Ava kept her head against John's chest, staring out into the dark conservatory silently until finally she spoke, asking if they could leave. The night had went to complete shit and Ava literally had no energy to even try and salvage it at this point. The Gala may have been successful on some level, but she didn't get to enjoy a single moment of it, and decided she'd rather leave and get away from the chaos and noise.

John: "Of course. Take us home, my dearest love."

Ava shut her eyes as a tornado of winds enveloped them both, transporting them from the conservatory back to their chamber room. Her eyes remained shut as the winds calmed within their bedroom, Ava still tightly holding onto John with her head against his chest. But he pulled away, enough to make her have to look up at him. He smiled down at her, taking one of her curls within his fingers gently. She knew he was worried despite his calming look. Ava wanted to assure him she was okay. But she wasn't, and even lying seemed taxing.

John: "I could draw you a bath? Are you hungry? Do you want a drink? I could go get Onyx...?"

Ava lowered her eyes away from John, staring blankly to the side as she shook her head gently. But she lives on in you. And no matter how much I try to breed her out of you, to prime you in my image, she seeps out of you. And it makes me sick. Her father's words white hot in her mind. Maybe she was too much like her mother. Too emotional. Too weak. Finally, she looked back up at John, her expression now exponentially harder.

"We share no alliance with the White Queen."

Her tone even and cold.

"And if that means we share no alliance with the Red as well? [hissing] Then so be it."

Ava pulled away from John and walked over to her vanity, pulling off all her jewelry methodically; pain fueling the anger once again. If Haleigh wanted to ruin everything they all built? Ava would set fire to the rubble.

Hellfire - The Red Queen’s Suite

Ash: What if I get too cold...then will you keep me warm?

“Of COURSE, My Queen....”

He said with a smile, leaning in to kiss her neck as his fingers traveled lower. The ice cube melted somewhere on her abdomen, but he pressed on, his hand slipping between her legs as she began to open them for him. She asked him about something from a previous conversation, nearly forgotten to him now. His head was too filled with her to give a cerebral answer.

“I don’t know, you tell me... what do you want, my Ashley?”

He asked, his head dipping so he could taste her breasts. He pressed two fingers inside to find her tight and wet already, and it made him growl with anticipation. He was as hard as a man could get, and she had her legs wide now, pulling him closer, as she asked him what it made her, if she didn’t want to share.

“Alpha....”

He said, his teeth nibbling her nipple, his tongue lapping at her. He lifted his head to find her gaze as he replaced his hand with his cock.

“Alphas don’t share.”

He told her, sliding deep inside. He groaned, and took her mouth with his hungrily, as his hands gripped her ass and he began to rock his hips into her.

The Black King & Queen's Suite

He listed all the things he thought might make her feel better. But she just shook her head at him silently, looking away. His worry increased, that she seemed disinterested in everything was not like her.

"We could just lay on the couch together for a while..."

He knew she wasn't okay, and he didn't want her to pretend that she was. But that didn't mean he wasn't going to try to make her feel better, or at least, be with her while she felt terrible.

When she looked back at him, he was startled by the hardness in her eyes. She wasn't crying any longer, and her expression wasn't sad.

Ava: "We share no alliance with the White Queen."

"Babe..."

Ava: "And if that means we share no alliance with the Red as well? [hissing] Then so be it."

She pulled away from him and started to remove her jewelry, as if her oldest friends might not be murdering each other even now.

He watched her for a few moments, and then walked over to her at the vanity, and knelt beside her. He put his hand on her leg and looked up at her with a heavy heart.

"I know you're upset. I am too. But Haleigh needs our protection. We can't let harm come to those babies. I know you don't want that."

He found her hand.

"You don't have to be her friend, but we can't forsake her. Not now."

He shook his head.

"As for the rest of it - we can get through this together, Ava. I'm here to help you..."

He would move heaven and earth for her, and he was prepared to do it, now. All she had to do was ask.

Hellfire -- The Drawing Room

She admitted that she’d rather stay with him, given the choices. He smiled, so big that his eyes crinkled, and she smiled too, finally relaxing a bit. He said she was welcome as long as she liked. In the midst of that moment, she was struck by the realization that they’d created life.

Alek: You were always destined to do the most amazing things. And so you have.

She gave a short, self-deprecating laugh.

“Yeah, well it seems I’m also destined to fuck up the most amazing things too, so expect it.”

She said as he hugged her, her hands sliding up his chest when he leaned back to kiss her forehead. He told her that he hoped their daughter would be just like her.

“No, no.... I was a little hellion when I was a girl. I drove my mother crazy with my obstinance. Although.... our little girl will have a good father. That will make all the difference in the world.”

She said, and he took her hand, suggesting they get her ‘settled in’, although she thought she saw desire behind his gaze. She felt a rush of warmth, excitement that grew ever hotter as he commanded security to make the adjustments necessary to protect her.

He took her into his suite and locked them in. She’d been in here many times before, knew her way around it, but never before had she come here with the intention of staying the night. It felt different in here now, more intimate somehow, or maybe that was just the hormones kicking into overdrive.

Her fingertips edged under the lace neckline of her top as she watched him take off his jacket. He moved closer, his hands finding her waist, as he suggested she get some rest. She tossed her head willfully, a wicked smile playing on her lips as she looked up at him.

“But I’m not tired...”

She protested defiantly.

The Red Queen's Suite

Her breath became audible as his fingers traveled between her legs. She bit her lip, looking up into his eyes as her legs spread wider and her feet stroked his bare legs. She tried to keep her mind present, and the ball in her court, asking him if men didn't want to share, what did women want?

Savage: “I don’t know, you tell me... what do you want, my Ashley?”

She sighed happily.

"You always know exactly what I want, my Savage."

As if on cue his mouth found her breasts, and her back arched into him. A gasp escaped her lips as his fingers slipped inside her and a growl came from his chest. Her hips were already starting to sway against him as she asked what it made her if she didn't want to share either.

She pulled him against her, showing him emphatically exactly what she wanted right then.

Savage: “Alpha....”

She closed her eyes in ecstasy, knowing that for him there would be no other, just as it was for her. He lifted his head from her breasts, and she opened her eyes to look into his deep hazel ones. He entered her and she couldn't help but moan, breath catching in her throat.

Savage: “Alphas don’t share.”

"My Alpha..."

He came towards her hungrily, his mouth on hers, and she pressing back against it. Wanting to taste him, all of him. He was pulling her against his hardness, and she held on tightly to him, one hand going to the back of his neck to hold his mouth against hers. Every time with him was like the first time, and with each second, with each thrust, she wanted him more. When their kiss finally broke, her mouth went to his shoulder, her chest pressing tightly against his as he slid in and out of her.

"You'll never have to share me..."

John: "We could just lay on the couch together for a while..."

John finally offered as Ava's eyes were averted from his, staring silently as her mind raced. She didn't want to pretend like Hellfire didn't just go up in flames because Haleigh couldn't keep her legs shut long enough to confirm a pregnancy with her husband. She should have been more self aware. There was NEVER a straight forward gift from Kelly King without some underlining way to fuck someone over. Haleigh should have known that. And she was a fucking moron for thinking otherwise. So Ava was DONE with the White Queen, and if Ashley backed Haleigh? She was done with the Red Queen as well. Pulling away from John, she walked to her vanity and took a seat, taking off her jewelry silently, the rage still brewing within her. John came over to her side, kneeling down next to her with his hand on her leg. She didn't look at him, taking her diamond stud earrings off one by one while staring cooly into her reflection.

John: "I know you're upset. I am too. But Haleigh needs our protection."

"She can find it elsewhere."

Ava snapped, tossing the diamonds onto the marble top like they were simple play jewelry from a quarter machine.

John: "We can't let harm come to those babies. I know you don't want that."

Ava let out a little scoff like huff of dismissal at that, pulling off her diamond forearm cuff and tossing it next to her earrings. That was when Steel found her hand, taking it and finally making her look over at him. It was like the moment she looked at John, the tunnel vision of anger and rage began to slowly dissipate. As she stared at herself in the mirror, it was boiling, her thoughts dark and malicious in nature. But John's eyes pulled her from that precipice...that one step she was about to take off the edge leading her to a free fall she knew she wouldn't be able to come back from.

John: "You don't have to be her friend, but we can't forsake her. Not now. As for the rest of it - we can get through this together, Ava. I'm here to help you..."

"You can't help me. Do you want to know why?"

Ava looked directly into John's eyes.

"Because Haleigh's mother made it impossible the moment she took my life into her hands and played with it like a cheap, meaningless toy."

Ava took her hand from John and used her black nail - as sharp as thorn - and sliced down her wrist, making a superficial wound that began to bleed.

"I never wanted this: Persephone. To be immortal. My father brokered it and Malice made it possible. And now i'm here, a body and soul of power and nothing more."

The blood, acidic in nature, dropped onto the hardwood floors below them both, sizzling upon contact and eating away the wood. Symbolic really. Ava looked at John now, her eyes glassy as she lightly trembled in both anger and frustration.

"Why should I use that power to help her? Why should I be the better person and put my feelings aside AGAIN to help her? WHY?!"

Ava screamed, tears falling down her cheeks as the cracks in her armor began to show.

"It's not fair, John."

She inhaled a shaky breath, unable to hold in the painful emotions any longer.

"It's not fair..."

Wrapping her arms around his back, Ava sunk off the stool and onto her knees hugging him tightly as she buried her face into his neck. She tried to steady herself, following his chest movements as he inhaled and exhaled slowly. She was so tired of feeling like an emotional mess. Ava was never like this - she was always steady and calculating. But the weekend was draining every ounce of steadiness she had; especially tonight. Her eyes were shut as she finally felt herself start to calm down in John's arms.

"I just want it all to stop..."

She whispered, her head lifting enough so her lips grazed John's neck. It was one thing after another after another all weekend long. Once she thought she was back on her feet, another thing struck her down again. She didn't want to think about Haleigh, the babies, her father, Hellfire, none of it. She wanted to escape the sobering reality for at least an hour. To have her king make her feel like a queen.

Ava's lips pressed against John's neck, tasting his skin. Her grip loosened on him as her hands moved from his body to hers. She pulled back to finally meet with his eyes, hers still filled with pain. Her fingers pulled the tie of her dress undone, the material instantly going lax against her body. She leaned in and pressed her lips against his, pulling the material even looser from her body until more skin than fabric was visible.

"Make me forget..."

She murmured between their kiss, her hands now reaching up to his face and holding him into their kiss.

The Drawing Room

Haleigh sounded a bit in awe as she said they had created a life. It was unusual for her, but he liked it. He liked sharing this with her, this wonder. He told her that she was destined to do amazing things.

Haleigh: “Yeah, well it seems I’m also destined to fuck up the most amazing things too, so expect it.”

He shook his head.

"You'll be great."

He hugged her, then kissed her forehead.

"You haven't done anything wrong."

He told her he hoped their daughter was just like her.

Haleigh: “No, no.... I was a little hellion when I was a girl. I drove my mother crazy with my obstinence. Although.... our little girl will have a good father. That will make all the difference in the world.”

He smiled, proud that she thought so well of him.

"I hope she's a hellion. I hope she doesn't let anyone fuck with her."

And then he paused.

"But she is never having sex."

He walked with Haleigh back to his suite, making sure the Red Wing was as secure as it was going to get, then locking them in so that they wouldn't be disturbed. He put his hands on her waist, liking that he felt allowed to, and told her she should get some rest. She was, after all, growing two babies inside her. Her face got that look that earlier she had described as obstinate, and he loved seeing it.

Haleigh: “But I’m not tired...”

His hands slid from her waist to her back, under her shirt.

"Well then, we'll just have to think of something to do to wear you out..."

He grinned devilishly, pulling her against him, his mouth pressing against hers heatedly. He'd never wanted her so badly, that she was carrying her child not deterring him but instead fueling his desire for her. He didn't stop kissing her when he scooped her up and carried her towards the bedroom, and he only broke the kiss to whisper her name.

The Black King & Queen's Suite

He knelt by Ava, gently trying to get her to see reason, to stop speaking out of anger. He knew Ava wanted what was best for the club, that she didn't really want to sit back and watch what they had built fall apart. He told her that Haleigh needed their protection, as insane as that statement sounded. But she did. Her children did.

Ava: "She can find it elsewhere."

The topic of children was a sore subject for Ava, he knew why, and he understood it. But he also knew, she understood the need to protect these children from an angry Cameron. He took her hand in his, his eyes pleading with her. They couldn't do this. They couldn't sit back and watch this happen. If Haleigh and Cameron's marriage survived, if the White Court stayed intact - hell, if the Red Court stayed intact - he could care less. But for Haleigh to have taken such a risk, for such a miracle to happen...they couldn't let that be destroyed out of anger.

He had to say something about Ava not being able to have children, so he told her he was there for her, to help her.

Ava: "You can't help me. Do you want to know why? Because Haleigh's mother made it impossible the moment she took my life into her hands and played with it like a cheap, meaningless toy."

"Babe..."

But she took her hand out of his. He gasped unconsciously as she used her nail to cut open her own skin and allowed it to drip onto the floor.

Ava: "I never wanted this: Persephone. To be immortal. My father brokered it and Malice made it possible. And now I'm here, a body and soul of power and nothing more."

"That is NOT true. You are so much more than that. Your power is the least of who you are. You are Ava, not Persephone..."

Ava: "Why should I use that power to help her? Why should I be the better person and put my feelings aside AGAIN to help her? WHY?! It's not fair, John. It's not fair..."

Her arms wrapped around him and he reciprocated, her face buried in his neck.

"Oh, my darling girl."

He kissed her softly, wherever his lips could reach.

"It's not fair. And I am so sorry."

Ava: "I just want it all to stop..."

Her lips began kissing his neck, and his mind raced in dilemma: to allow her to forget all of this or to make her face it head on. She looked at him, her hands loosing the tie of her dress as her midnight eyes looked right into him.

Ava: "Make me forget..."

She kissed him, and he did the only thing he could: envelope her in his love. He pulled her tight against his chest and stood up, carrying her with him to their bed. He set her down while he quickly shrugged out of his jacket and shirt, his slacks. He reached out to touch her cheek with the back of his hand, letting it trail down her neck and then chest, breast, her stomach. He laid her back onto the bed, climbing in beside her, allowing his hands to further trace her body while his mouth kissed her neck.

"My beautiful Ava..."

His mouth switch to the other side of her neck.

"My dark Queeen..."

He propped himself up on his elbows, on either side of her, so he could look down into her face.

"Who is kind and loving and clever and sexy..."

He pressed his lips against hers, his knee gently pushing her legs apart, so he could press his hard cock against her.

"And who will be the only woman for me as long as I live..."

His tongue entered her mouth as his cock slid inside her, a guttural moan coming from deep within him. He moved with need, wanting to touch her deepest places, having to have her. His fingers continued to stroke her soft skin while he moved, touching as much of her at once as possible.

"I love you..."

John told her she was more than just a body and soul of power, that she was Ava and not Persephone. But deep down Ava wished now that she could become Persephone. She knew how powerful the goddess was and knew how dark her soul ran. There would be no tears spilt if Persephone was in control, only blood. Haleigh's, Cameron's, Alek's, the children. It didn't matter. Whatever satisfied her vengeance. The thoughts were toxic but the only thing keeping Ava from breaking, because she was breaking. For years she never thought of these things because her mind was so focused on Cassadine Enterprises, the old order, the plot to overthrow them, becoming Queen, building her court, the list went on. She was so focused on business that she had no time to let love into her life let alone think of a family. But now she had let love in her life, and now the entire weekend had been encompassed by Haleigh's sudden pregnancies, it made everything from Ava's past, that night, the pain, and the look of satisfaction in both Diana and Stavros' eyes seeing what they had done as she cried in agony on the floor...it hit her all at once like a tsunami of emotions. Ava just wanted to forget....and if she couldn't let her anger help her cope, she wanted John to help her forget. To take away the pain and replace it with his love and body.

Ava kissed John feeling his arms bring her closer to his body as he stood in one swift motion, carrying her to the bed. Her body already began to respond to his gentle touch as he sat her down on the bed. John pulled back from their kiss to undress, Ava's breath still shaky, but less with emotion and more with need. She pulled the material of her dress off, discarding it on the floor just as John touched her cheek with the back of his hand. A gesture so sweet and gentle that it made her eyes shut with relief.

"John.."

She whispered with a need so strong it felt like she would die if he didn't touch her. Her body yearned for his touch, for him to make her feel anything but the dark hurt brewing within her. He laid her back, his mouth kissing her neck as his hands trailed along her naked body.

John: "My beautiful Ava...My dark Queen..."

He pulled back, Ava's hands immediately going to either side of his face as he moved on top of her. Her dark eyes were glassy, brows furrowed. She looked up at him with a vulnerable need as he looked down at her in utter love.

John: "Who is kind and loving and clever and sexy..."

She wanted to protest those things but she said nothing as she felt his knee move her legs further apart and his hardness press against her. She inhaled a sharp breath of anticipation, her chest rising and falling rapidly.

John: "And who will be the only woman for me as long as I live..."

Tears fell from the corners of her eyes as she tried to say John's name but his mouth muffled her words. He pushed inside her causing her to lowly moan out between their kiss, mirror John's reaction. Ava's arms wrapped around his back, holding him tightly against her body, not wanting any distance between them. His movements were deep and slow, making each connection of their hips feel like a drug coursing through Ava's body, the high of pleasure overpowering the overwhelming pit of pain. John's hands were all over her body all at once, sliding softly and caressing, it made everything that much more heightened. He then broke their kiss, their lips still close.

John: "I love you..."

Ava gripped the back of John's neck, her one leg hooking around his back.

"I love you....I love you...I love you..."

She kept whispering again and again between kissing him, wanting to hold onto that feeling of love because she had so quickly and so deeply fallen into the world of hate. Her body tensed beneath him, his cock stroking her in just the right spot. Gasping in, Ava's forehead pressed against his as her body began to tremble with release. Moaning lowly, it was the best high she could have asked for, her eyes shutting and her mind dizzy. And in that moment she forget everything but what he was doing to her....exactly what she had asked for.

"Don't stop..."

And like a drug, she wanted it again and again until John couldn't hold himself back any longer from coming.

Hellfire -- The Black Guest Suite

Brienne whirled on him, startled. He’d thought he’d been obvious in his tailing of her, but maybe she’d been absorbed in her planning. He gave her an innocent smile, and told her she’d miss Brunch, and the Red Party, but also that he’d miss out on admiring her beauty, which let’s face it, was the real tragedy here.

Brienne: What can I say. The air quality here sucks.

“Well, you’ve spent all weekend inhaling the Red King’s hot air, so.....”

He replied humorously, watching her transferring handfuls of her panties from the drawer to her suitcase. He couldn’t help but be riveted. It seemed like she brought an abnormal amount of underwear for just three days. And did she require any help?

She was anxious, which he drained a bit to ease the tension. He was curious about it, but before he could ask what had her so wound up, she was interrogating him. Was he here under ordersfrom his King and Queen? Apparently she thought he’d relay a message for them to fuck off. Zach chuckled softly.

“Oh, I doubt they’re worried about you. If they were, they’d be taking aggressive action. And No detective, they didn’t order me to come here. I’m here—”

Brienne interrupted to tell him he could also pass a message to Juliette and Liam that she was taking the jet.

“Right, so you’re taking the jet, and your panties, and going some place with better air. Well I hope it’s warm wherever you end up, given your wardrobe choices. Any other message I can deliver? Maybe you owe Alek a knee to the groin?”

He suggested helpfully, having already registered how pissed she was that Alek ran off with Haleigh. And then she surprised him with a blitzkrieg kiss. He wasn’t sure if his tongue was in her mouth or it was the other way around, all he knew was he didn’t want it to stop. So he gave her a little empathic encouragement, just to see where it went. Her hands were on his chest, pulling open his shirt, sliding it off his shoulders as her mouth went down his neck.

Brienne: Is this what you want... White Rook?

“I don’t not want it.... I mean, look at you....”

She’d taken her blazer off, to reveal a little black crop top, and his gaze traveled down her body and back up again.

“For the record, I came here to apologize for taking Erika’s side earlier. I really didn’t have a choice.... have to toe the party line in public. But behind closed doors....”

He replied with a smirk, his knuckles grazing the skin of her abs, tracing a line of passion there. He seemed completely oblivious to the fact that her door was still wide open behind him. At this point he wouldn’t have cared any way. His other hand cupped her chin, bringing her lips to his again for another heated kiss. He was already about to poke a hole in the front of his slacks, but still, he pulled back.

“If you want me to leave, I will...”

He said in her ear before he pulled her hair back to bare her neck so he could kiss her there.

The Black King & Queen's Suite

When she said his name it was like music, like she was caressing his very heart in his chest. He moved on top of her, kissing her, worshiping her, showing her how much he loved her. All of her. He was slow and gentle, and he could feel every bit of her. Her leg hooked around him, and that gesture of her desire spurred him on, making him push deeper. And when she told him she loved him, his mouth couldn't be anywhere but on hers.

He felt her body clench, and she pulled back to rest her forehead against his. It was the most amazing feeling, when she came, her body shaking under him. It made him harder, and he matched her moans with his own.

Ava: "Don't stop..."

His fingertips played over her nipple while his mouth made its way to her neck, his body still keeping the same rhythmic motion.

"I'll never stop making love to you."

Not until she couldn't come any more.

He rolled them onto their sides, his hand pulling her thigh over his own, then sliding up her back, mouth finding hers again.

"Ava..."

He whispered her name like a prayer. God she felt amazing. There was still a part of him that couldn't believe he was there with her. He started to move faster, with more need, as the pressure built and he began to throb. He waited for her, and when she contracted around him again, he came too, moaning loudly. His hand held the side of her face, pulling it in to him for another long kiss. He rolled her back onto her back, so he could lay beside her, his hand now running over her body to find its way between her legs. He kissed her neck again as he started to stroke her gently. After all, there were a lot of ways to make her come. And he needed her to know that he loved her, exactly as she was.

The White Rook was there. Why, she had no fucking clue. He stated she would miss the Red Brunch and Party, because God knows the fucking hunt went spectacularly. Brienne made a quip about the air quality being shit as she brushed past him to grab her panties.

Zach: “Well, you’ve spent all weekend inhaling the Red King’s hot air, so.....”

Coughing out a laugh.

"Touché."

She added while rolling her eyes. She had made a mistake letting herself get swept up in Alek thinking that maybe he had actually liked her instead of fucking her like it was his job. But it was his job. However, like Alek, Zach was there because it was apart of his job, one Brienne questioned immediately.

Zach: “Oh, I doubt they’re worried about you."

"How charming."

Brienne cut in sarcastically. Fucking bastard.

Zach: "If they were, they’d be taking aggressive action. And No detective, they didn’t order me to come here. I’m here—”

Brienne threw her panties in the suitcase, cutting him off as she looked over her shoulder at him with a smirk, telling him he could tell Juliette and Liam she was taking the jet.

Zach: “Right, so you’re taking the jet, and your panties, and going some place with better air. Well I hope it’s warm wherever you end up, given your wardrobe choices."

Brienne rolled her eyes and picked up her zippered suitcase before putting it on the floor.

"It's lucky you're hot, because you're really fucking annoying."

She griped as she folded her arms across her chest, looking at the White Rook with an indignant stare.

Zach: "Any other message I can deliver? Maybe you owe Alek a knee to the groin?”

"You have no idea."

And he didn't. Perhaps a good knee would have kept his swimmers from swimming. But she didn't want to think about Alek or Haleigh or the pending battle between Shaws and Kings once it was found out what she had done. Zach may have beening annoying but he was gorgeous. And he was there, interested in her, despite dumping her for a King earlier. So Brienne said fuck it and crossed the room, pulling Zach into a heated kiss. She could feel herself being pushed in her emotional desire, breaking the kiss as she slid off Zach's shirt from his shoulders.

"I've never fucked an empath before....."

Brienne was always the one pushing her feelings onto other people, not having people heighten her own. She grinned at that before her lips found Zach's neck and throat, trailing hot kisses along his flesh. She asked him if this was what he wanted, because fuck knows if this was some game of his and Erika was going to pop out with another crazy monologue of barbs and bullshit.

Zach: “I don’t not want it.... I mean, look at you....”

"For once, good answer."

Zach: “For the record, I came here to apologize for taking Erika’s side earlier. I really didn’t have a choice.... have to toe the party line in public. But behind closed doors....”

Brienne shook her head, not wanting to hear or think about Erika.

"The last thing I want to think about is Erika King when you're standing here shirtless."

Then Zach started to run his knuckle along her abs making Brienne lower her eyes to watch. Her muscles tenses and skin goosebumped. Zach cupped her chin with his hand, Brienne lifting her eyes to meet with his. Then he brought her lips to his, kissing him with a heated desire. Brienne's hands moved around his sides to his stomach, her fingers sliding under the band of his pants. Zach pulled back from their kiss causing Brienne to allow herself to catch her breath.

Zach: “If you want me to leave, I will...”

She should have kicked him out for what he had done earlier. For being Haleigh's Rook. For being Erika's boyfriend, or however he was linked to her. But he was there now, and she was already turned the fuck on.

"No."

With a flick of her wrist, the door to her suite shut telekenetically. Her lips crashed against his once again, her tongue taking shelter in his mouth. Brienne skillfully undid Zach's belt, undoing his pants as she bowed her body into his, pressing their bare skin together. Slipping her hand into his pants, she grasped him, pulling back just enough to smile at how hard he was already.

"Impressive."

She had to admit, he was packing more than she thought he would be. She began to kiss him again, stroking her hand along the length of him as she began to move back towards the bed. Feeling the mattress behind her, Brienne broke their kiss and withdrew her hand as she climbed onto her bed. She laid back, unzipping her pants and lifting her ass to pull them off her hips.

"A little help, Rook?"

She asked, extending her foot out so it slid between his legs and gently to his cock. One thing Alek was right about, pants fucking sucked when trying to get laid. But...there were benefits to them. Brienne smirked, leaning back on her elbows as her fingers tugged down the front zipper of her crop top, teasing him even more as she waited for him to help undress her.

John: "I'll never stop making love to you."

Ava moaned into his kiss, the thought making her want him even more. John rolled them both onto their side, pulling her thigh over his and changing the angle in which he was inside her. Breaking the kiss as his hand moved to her back to hold her, Ava let out a whimper of pleasure his slow strokes, at how he said her name. He was everything she had ever wanted in a partner and lover, and he was there, making love to every part of who she was. His thrusts became harder and faster, Ava's moans increasing in volume. Panting out breathlessly at each connection she could feel herself already reaching her limit once again. The contractions came quick, pulsating around John as she cried out in ecstasy and began to come once again. John matched her cries, their moans in unison until finally their orgasms began to subside. John's hand slid along her cheek, pulling her into another slow and long kiss. Her sex pulsed around him in aftershocks, Ava feeling like the weight of the world was finally off her chest. As she laid wrapped in John's arms, intimately connected to him, she never wanted the moment to end. But John had other ideas. He rolled Ava onto her back and began to kiss her neck, his hands trailing a hot course along her skin.

"Babe.."

But her eyes rolled shut immediately upon feeling his hand on her sex, stroking her slowly in just the right spot. She tensed, letting out a sound of pleasure. Ava began to move her pelvis against his hand, her neck extending to the side to allow him more access. Her body tensed feeling his fingers enter her, gasping out at the feeling. She was already so wet and sensitive, Ava bit her lip at the sounds he was already producing from her. She brought her hand to his face, guiding him away from her neck so she could look up at him. Her mouth was parted in pleasure, soft shallow breaths of air escaping from her. Her midnight eyes will no longer filled with pain or anger, but only pleasure; pleasure he was giving to her. She wanted him to watch as he brought her to the point of euphoria, away from the pain of the day. She wanted nothing more than to see him and only him, no one else mattering in the world. Then her body bowed against him, shuddering as he made her come yet again. She gripped the back of his neck, pulling his mouth to hers to kiss him. As her body finally relaxed, Ava guided his hand back up as she rolled onto her side and tucked herself against him. Resting her head on his chest, she hugged her arm around his body and stared forward utterly exhausted from everything.

"You have no idea how much I needed that..."

She softly spoke, her fingers tracing along peck.

"How much I needed you."

There were no words to express her gratitude for how John talked her off the edge, because Ava was there, and she was willing to jump into a the fiery pits and start a war. Ava softly sighed, her eyes burning and heavy from having cried so much. Between her father, Kelly, and Haleigh, Ava had cried more in that one night than she had in her entire fucking life.

"I hate this.....them..."

She paused, her mind going to Haleigh's children. They were innocent despite the circumstances in which they were conceived.

"But i'll protect her children...."

She finally said, relenting to what John had ask of her earlier.

Hellfire Club – Black Gala

“Okay! Okay, you were right, I was wrong, let’s just agree to disagree!”

Gia was sick of this conversation. She was regretting ever coming to talk to Zach because no matter what she said, he took some kind of offense to it. He left as soon as he spotted Haleigh and left for a few moments before appearing seconds later.

“So? How is she doing?”

Minutes later, Cameron came storming past, so consumed with whatever is bothering him this time, he didn’t see Gia or Zach. If Gia had her say in the matter, it was probably for the best. Zach turned to her and shrugged before following after the King, like the loyal puppy that he was.

Of course, that meant that she had to follow suit too. Arriving back at the party, things got W-E-I-R-D. Haleigh spotted Cameron and nearly picked Alek up and ran, they got out of there so fast.

Okay! What the fuck am I missing?

Cameron appeared to be approaching Ashley, which, considering AJ, was his funeral. Hurricane Erika blew his way and, if Cassandra used to be the Insane Princess, Erika definitely took insanity to a whole new level. Hopefully whatever is happening between the King sibs, it wouldn’t end in bloodshed. Not because she personally cared about them – she didn’t. Erika was certifiable, and Cameron? Cameron knew exactly who had her father killed and he still forced her to schmooze with him anyway – without telling her directly. That, in her eyes, was unforgiveable. Still, this was the Black Gala and the last thing this party needed was more drama.

Zach: “Gia, stay with the King until Heidi gets back.”

Fuck that.

And she was actually going to tell him that when he turned on his feet and went after the European Black Queen.

*mutters*: “Great.

So now she was tasked to stay with Cameron and for what? Hell if she knew!

The White King had sunk to great lengths in a short amount of time. Especially considering he had just eviserated his mother over her not thinking he ever had what it took to lead a court. He' fought with his wife, tried to order around threaten Ava, and now he was confiding in his crazy sister. The crazy thing about that was that she was being surprisingly supportive and uplifting. It was bittersweet. It never lasted with Erika which was why he kept himself at a distance, but he decided that instead of worrying about his future, he could focus on the present and enjoy the dialogue he was being given with her right now.

She said that it would be foolish to kill Alek, and she was probably right. But Cameron was a proud man, one who viciously defended his own honor at the drop of the hat. He was surrounded by women who's mothers were famous for taking down strong men. He had learned a thing or two about how things like this went. It would be HE who would suffer, not his Queen. And if she wasn't going to feel the least bit of remorse than he wasn't going to bother with trying to talk to her. Erika turned to leave.

Erika: "I love you, Cameron. We will make this better. We will make this better and then we will stand victorious. Nobody can destroy The Kings. Not some bastard child of The Red King, not even our mother. Don't forget that."

Cameron smirked for a moment, more relaxed. He hadn't spoken to anybody not associated with Hellfire in a traditional sense for a long time. It was refreshing to hear somebody say out loud the things he was thinking. And he enjoyed to know that his sister still felt a sense of pride at having the same last name. They understood that it meant something, and was worth protecting.

"What am I going to do?"

He felt a little bit better, but there was a deep pit in his stomach. This was a big deal for Cameron. It wasn't SOLELY a matter of pride. It went deeper than that. The decision of starting a family had not been one that they had made together. It had been one Haleigh made without him, though she had his blessing. Haleigh wasn't stupid - babies changed things. Announcing you had a baby changed things, but Cameron assumed there would be more time to talk about things, and what that meant. He had gleamed from the minds of the others just how obnoxious and at blame they felt he was. He had found out his wife could GET pregnant this MORNING, and she had conceived by the afternoon. There was no time for conversations, of what that meant for the two of them. It just happened..so quickly. Perhaps he should have spent the day informing his wife that bringing a baby into the world would require her being more careful than she normally would have been, but he felt since she had made the decision, she was ready, and prepared for what that meant. But Cameron couldn't help but feel like the entire thing had been taken from him. He should have been able to feel proud that his wife was carrying his baby, that she had done this for him, that her desire to have his child was greater than her need to sleep with Alek, but that wasn't the case, and it made Cameron feel like he didn't know who his wife was anymore or what she wanted, and what made it worse was that she was actually scared of what he might to do to her, the babies and Alek. It made him sick. He didn't have much more time to ponder when Ava came in on a war path.

Ava: "Get your ass up, King."

He grimaced.

"In a shocking turn of events, *I'm* not in the mood to talk, Ava."

Ava: "And stop acting like a barbaric asshole. Your wife is pregnant with YOUR child, that much is STILL true. And the more time you spend pushing her away because of the shitty situation you BOTH put yourselves into by fucking other people during your marriage? The more you push her directly into Alek's arms."

He understood what she was trying to do, but he just didn't have it in him to fight with her, and more than that, he knew that if he went to her right now, he would kill Alek right in front of her and watch the father of her daughter drop dead on the ground, and he would not care in the slightest.

"Then I'll rip off his arms."

Ava: "Stop plotting and start TALKING to her, Cameron. Before you not only lose your wife, but you destroy EVERYTHING we ALL built. This doesn't just effect y--"

Cameron cocked a concerned eyebrow as Ava's voice cracked in front of him. It was a rare moment of vulnerability for her. He couldn't tell if it was because she was hurt over their situation of hers, but whatever the case, he didn't like it.

Ava: "This doesn't just effect you and Haleigh. How you decide to approach this...[looking back at him] effects ALL of us."

"Ava.."

Ava: "It's unfair, for more than one reason. I'm sorry, Cameron, I am. But we need to figure this out with no blood spilled."

And she was gone, and The White King was left with his thoughts. He cared about Ava's pain, and he knew that the stakes were high, but he felt backed into a corner. Basically, Cameron was going to have swallow his pride, just accept the current circumstances, be okay with them, be okay with Alek being in his life FOREVER, and move on. He was just going to have to accept that his son would be the brother of the daughter of the Red King, and while it sounded cool on paper, it complicated things. Of course he would love his son, but before coming out of the womb, his son would now have competition - his sister, and Cameron was well versed in how that went. He decided the only thing to do was face the music and see where his wife's head was at, so he reached out with his mind's eye and subsequently got his heart broken into pieces.

Haleigh: "I love you. Alek...I'm not taking it back this time."

<< CRACK! >>

Alek: "I love you Haleigh. You and our child. More than anything. More than I ever have anything in my life. And I always will, no matter what."

<< CRACK! >>

Haleigh: "I'd rather stay with you...We created life."

<< BREAK. >>

But it wasn't that simple. Cameron had always felt a fire burning around his hot. He was a man full of passion and emotion. They were his guiding principles and they were what set him apart from his mother and older sister Alison. So when the chill came and the fire became frozen, crystalized around his heart, he felt surprisingly free. He had always wondered what had happened to his mother, why she was the way that she was. Why she thought emotions were foolish, why she acted only with reason and scientific process, and then he realized something. He thought of his father, of Finn Lewis, of Stavros Cassadine, of all the men that Kelly had loved and how all of them had ended in misery, disaster and death. At some point, this must have happened to her. Her heart must have loved something as much as he loved Haleigh and it froze, turning to MARBLE, in visceral response from feeling that love break.

A black tear ran down his face, which surprised him. Wiping it from his face, he walked in a daze, out of the conservatory and into The White Corridor, to his suite, choosing to remain in the dark as the moonlight cascaded agains the white furniture, creating a hypnotic glow. He looked at the moon, as if he was trying to tap into his strength, but he realized that he couldn't..because he felt nothing. In less than twenty four hours, Haleigh ran into Alek's arms, afraid of him, scared of what he would do. She couldn't even deign to face him. To speak to him. She went to Alek. She went to Alek and told him she loved him and all but asked for his protection against her own husband. Had he become that vile? Was he such a monster that she need protection against him? His sister and Ava had approached him, and while their words seemed genuine, their interests were of course were of themselves, and of Hellfire. Hellfire had become like some kind of God that required ritual sacrifice, and they all led idols to slaughter in it's name, but something dawned on Cameron in this moment. What if somebody said No? What if he looked at Hellfire and defied it? Refused to give it any more of himself? Ashley had AJ...Ava had John, and now Haleigh had Alek, and that left Cameron alone. As much as he wanted to fix things - there was no fixing them. He wanted a child, an heir - but not like this.

The White King slipped his wedding ring from his finger and placed it on the coffee table in front of him as he headed into the bedroom, grabbing a crystal from his nightstand, one that would prevent him from being tracked by magick. He knew how to avoid his wife's trail and he was a strong enough telepath that he could prevent them from finding him forever. Or at least until he decided what exactly it was that he wanted to do. Passing by the fireplace mantle, he took note of the many pictures of Haleigh and himself together. Of him and Ava and Ashley, of The Inner Circle he was proud of. In a flash of anger, he telekinetically HURLED them in multiple directions, shattering them before heading out of his suite, informing The White Guard that they would all be killed should any hint of his whereabouts be given. Creating a psychic diversion, Cameron walked out of Hellifre and into the cold streets of New York City. Where he was going, was anyone's guess.
