:: Daniel had asked her about Star, and when Cass told him a bit about her he smiled at her kind of weird. That was confusing, because he was the one who had asked in the first place. ::
Was I only supposed to just say ‘Yes, she’s mine’ and not offer any other information?
:: Cass felt like a person who had just woken up from a coma after several years. She tried and tried, but she didn’t know how to break through and nobody seemed to be that keen on helping her. She was frustrated and confused. ::
How can I rebuild my friendships when nobody wants me around?
:: She made a friendly overture by offering both Ben and Daniel to watch a video of Star dancing. They both couldn’t get away fast enough afterwards, however Daniel did say that he wanted to see her draining powers in action even though he was probably just being polite and didn't really mean it, and Cass felt like crying. ::
*anguished*: He [Ben] doesn’t want to know me anymore.
:: She let her hair out of her side ponytail and shook her head, letting her hair fall on both sides of her face. She bent her head down and played a game on her phone, hiding the crushed look on her face. She felt as if she were in a crowded room screaming at the top of her lungs but nobody even bothered to look up. She noticed, well, felt, somebody sit down in a chair next to her. Looking up, she noticed that it was Heidi. Perhaps she could rebuild her friendship with her instead. Cass smiled and put away her phone. ::
“Hey, Heidi. I love your outfit.”
:: She had heard that one of the creatures in the Aqua Ring had been hurt. Six, if she remembered correctly. ::
“How is Six doing?”
