<< a week has passed, and the Six have put one foot in front of the other as they attempt to move on with their lives, knowoing that they've made their world safe for several generations from the demon of fear. whoever is next to face him...will have the knowledge passed down from Shadow Weaver , Spellbinder and Harbinger to find in the Darkhold as well as the entries from Verna and other witches past.>>

<< in dealing with Barbas and all the terror he brought with him, members of the six were able to confront other aspects of their individual lives and as a group that made them so susceptible to him in the first place and now, they were all better able to appreciate their "new day" and each other. inspite of ghosts from not so far in the past traumas.>>

<< with the Zaccharas having moved on from MP, Apartment 6 was now ready for occupancy by none other than Ava a.k.a. Persephone upon her return from Aerie.>>

<< Shadow Weaver and Harbinger were now preparing to return to Minerva's Mansion for as much as they enjoyed being able to help the Six in times of need, Harbinger's destiny required her elsewhere and Karen, up to this moment, had no interest in living in L.A. and much preferred the lofty, elegant, ocean view of her place with Alison off the coast of Greece. Besides, with magick...they were ONLY a thought a away.>>

<< in a surprising turn of events, Spellbinder announced she was leaving the Six for a sabbatical on Aerie. She would be departing with Shadow Weaver and Harbinger. >>

<< with Prophet now fully back with the team...Harbinger was displaying a rather COLD attitude toward him. For those closest to him it wasnt hard to guess why. This was the 2nd time he'd gone away from them without telling anyone. The 2nd time that he nearly DIED because of it and put them through HELL trying to rescue him. She was TIRED of him exposing her vulnerable side and so in a "not so shocking" turn...Alison did NOT offer Cameron to join her at Minerva's mansion. Instead he was to remain at Melrose Place with Haleigh explaining to him (as only she could) why his sister was responding to him the way she was now that the danger was passed.>>

<< it was a time of change as old faces returned and old faces left but these times were necessary for the Six.>>

<< FOR NOW though, with everyone present at MP, including Ava and Cameron...the Six would have one last gathering together in the courtyard with music, food and decorations before the time came for the witches to say goodbye to the team for the time being.>>

MP -- courtyard

It was a time of comings and goings, which, as always, was bound to create ambivalence among the group. The Zaccharas had left quietly, and thank goodness for that. Haleigh continued to keep an eye on them, just in case, but wouldn't bother them unless necessary. Karen and Alison were going back to Greece, as expected, and Morgan surprised everyone with the news of her intended sabbatical on Aerie. Haleigh knew that left her as de facto 'leader' of the group, a mantle she hadn't held on her own for some time but perhaps the time for being haunted by ghosts of the past was gone with Barbas.

Cameron was back, and with him came history, good and bad. Alison regarded him coldly, and it wasn't really a mystery why. Haleigh, on the other hand, was just glad to have him back safe and sound…. Despite the fact that his presence was bound to turn her carefully balanced life upside down.

And yet…. Things were looking up for Haleigh, as in addition to having Cameron, she also had Zach back in her life, and her sister, Ava, was finally returning from self-imposed exile… one thing Haleigh could be truly, completely happy about.

It was getting warm again in Los Angeles, and the day was a perfect one for the celebration of sorts being held in the courtyard. There was plenty of music and drinks to go around and Haleigh had catered food brought, courtesy of the company she often used to cater at her photo shoots. Haleigh, feeling a bit puckish, told the caterers to hide the salad for a while and required that they INSIST the steak was superb to whomever requested the salad.

Small. Everything was so small. After living on Arie for months [including the time the six were on an exile of their own], Ava was custom to large, sprawling staircases, vast livingrooms, and views of her large tropical estate. However, despite the lackluster living arrangements, Ava needed to return to the six. Her self-imposed exile had prevented her from helping them during the Barbas crisis. Eventhough Hecate had explained she needed to stay away from the situation due to her previous 'relationship' with Barbas, Ava was never the type of woman to sit back and do nothing; especially at her friends expense. But Hecate was insistant, therefore Ava complied. But now that Barbas had been destoryed, Morgan requested that Ava return to Melrose Place due to the fact she, Alison, and Karen were returning to Greece for a much needed break. So there Ava stood, in the livingroom of her new apartment, less than thrilled.

Onyx, paced impatiently around the livingroom, picking up on Ava's displeased attitude. Craning her stiff neck back, the brunette sighed and headed for the front door to let Onyx out of their cramped quarters to explore.

"Go on. [gesturing out the door] Don't leave the courtyard."

Her midnight sapphire eyes watched as her panther quickly trotted out of the apartment like her life depended on it. From her door, Ava could see down to the pool area that Haleigh had set up with tables of food and drinks for the groups party. Their last celebratory get together resulted in Nicolas and Mike's fat mouths insulting everyone causing herself and Alison to be lost in one of Morgan's stepping discs. So lets just say Ava wasn't too excited for the prospect of 'partying' with those two idiots. BUT, if her self-imposed exile taught her anything....she needed to atleast TRY and be civil. She owed that much to Karen.

Closing her apartment door behind her, Ava headed down the curved staircase to the main courtyard for the festivities. Dressed in a dark washed jeans and a black off the shoulder top, the goddess opted to go barefoot since she became so accustom to it on Arie.

Waiter: Can I get you anything ma'am?

"Chardonnay, thank you."

The boy smiled; Ava's subtle English accent always made the boys swoon. :p He quickly went to fetch Ava her drink as she approached Haleigh nearby.

"I see you hid the greenery [salads]. Are you trying to starve me on my first day back?"

A small smirk tugged on Ava's plump lips. It was a known fact that she was a vegeterian, but Haleigh always insisted that meat was good for the body. But, considering she could communicate with animals, she wasn't about to start EATTING them. ;)

MP courtyard

I'LL SAY!

<< bellowed Morgan in agreement at the idea that Haleigh was trying to starve MORE than one person by hiding the greenery of the impressive spread during the courtyard party under the stars.>>

<< the tall, leggy sorceress appeared behind Haleigh and Ava. and everyone know how picky Morgan was when it came to her diet and how meticulous she was with her calorie intake.>>

There's so much meat and other...fried things here...I bet Alison could PREDICT a heart attack for more than one member of this team after tonight's party. and what is a person with a flawless manicure supposed to do...eat this with her...fingers?

<< Morgan held a drink in her hand, a LEMON DROP with extra sugar around the glass. A drink that her good friend Madonna had turned her on to several years back. in terms of aloholic drinks, a lemon drop was on the lighter side of things. certainly not as potent as say HEMLOCK? a mysterious elixir that Morgan, Alison AND Karen all enjoyed to varying degrees :D but considering the catered affair was handled by humans, it was doubtfull THEY would have access to good quality hemlock.>>

<< looking at Ava for a moment.>>

I know Melrose Place isnt as "sprawling" as your villa on Aerie or even Illustra...but its cute isnt it? the property has a RICH history and from what i read the last two land lords....a blonde and a red head were both surrounded by memorable tenants. even local businesses nearby still refer to this place with some sort of intrigue. the architecture is unique even among apartment dwellings of L.A. and we're in one of the trendiest locations.

Ill be gone for a couple months, so you'll be needed here for the coming and inevitable calls to action and adventure the team has. Haleigh will take over as leader with Delilah backing her when necessary.

and as always, you know how to reach me if you absolutely need me...

<< she looks at the two women>>

but PLEASE...TRY NOT to need me.

<< knowing that the team could [and would have to] get along without the benefit of a world class teleporter and magickal resource for a little while.>>

after all that's happened... i felt like I had gotten SOFT from all the trauma and drama before Barbas [ referring to the mess of Nicolas/Haleigh and Se] I let matters of the heart get to me and it took TOO many scares and near death moments to snap me back into focus this time. I need time to really think about things and what i want to do and now that Claudia and i have an "UNDERSTANDING" at work i suddenly don't feel the need to fight and claw to hold on to my "position" in the modeling industry.

MP - Courtyard Party

:: Cameron had arrived at the party, though he wasn't in the most festive of moods. He had been back in the fold of the Six for a week now and he hadn't made much ground, and though the old Cameron probably would demand answers and start a fight, a lot of things had changed since his friends had seen him last (after everything he had been through, they HAD to change.) At this point Cameron would explain himself if asked but wouldn't provoke unless absolutely necessary. ::

Waiter: Can I get you anything sir?

:: Thinking for a Moment ::

"Can I get a Corona and Lime please?"

:: As he grabbed a drink and tipped the waiter he made his way over to the ladies in the courtyard, taking a deep breath. He hadn't had much conversation with any of them since the entire fiasco with Barbas and that might have been a good thing. Either they would have time to calm down or they would have time to stew in their juices. He wasn't sure how things would go. ::

"Good evening, ladies. You're all looking well..."

:: He walked over to Haleigh and embraced her in a tight warm hug, kissing her forehead. At this point relationship or not, Haleigh and Cameron had some connection that would never fully be broken and everyone knew it. He turned to Morgan. ::

"This place looks beautiful, Morgan. Smart investment. Will you miss it?"

MP the courtyard

<< Morgan looked at Cameron as he joined their group. He was avoiding facing Alison. She knew it , and Haleigh probably did as well.>>

I purchased this property a while ago...while my mother and I were traveling in L.A., before Illustra was lost. I'm not sure what I thought i was going to do with it before Arklay and the mess that followed but after so much time on Aerie, when we were able to return to the states, this seemed like the most obvious, safest place to start.

<< looking around the courtyard.>>

Like i told Ava, the history of this building. The previous two land lords...both women, one blonde and the other a red head kept a VERY diverse..."colorfull" group of tenants here. Even Alison said the echo of past events and dramas could be felt in the walls of this place. It's smaller than Illustra and not nearly as luxe as Aerie, but its cute, and its located in a trendy area.

<< she looked at Cameron square in the eye.>>

You'll have PLENTY of time to become comfortable with your new surroundings because you're NOT going to pull anough disappearing act. Is that understood?

<< the sorceress said bluntly.>>

your sister suffered...as did the rest of us. we're DELIGHTED to have you back SAFE...but you need to understand the NIGHTMARE that Alison endured because of you. You owe HER an apology, Cameron and if you let her leave for Greece without handling it, it will not look very good on YOU, considering all that she ...that we ALL risked to rescue you.

<< just as Alison or Delilah had backed Morgan in times past, so too would Morgan do the same for them when they needed it. and for Cameron to let Alison leave for Greece without addressing the very real anger she felt toward would be COWARDLY of him and of them all, Morgan remembered CLEARLY how BOLD this young man could be. True he had changed, as had they all but Alison was his sister, his last living relative. Morgan understood the VALUE of making sure things between a person and their sibling were all in order...because you never knew what could happen. Not everyone had a cross time alternate waiting in the wings to fill a spot left vacant by a mainstream.>>

This is your family...and you can't EVER do this again.

Morgan: And what is a person with a flawless manicure supposed to do...eat this with her...fingers?

"You're speaking to the queen [Haleigh] of eating fried chicken and wings. Trust me, she doesn't care."

Poking fun at her sister, Ava smiled softly. Even though she was still 'torn' about being back, it WAS nice to be amongst friends again. Ava was fiercely independent and the time on Arie was more than satisfying. It was a little bittersweet to have to leave it all behind and obviously it showed. Morgan began to explain to her the history of the apartment complex, trying to make it seem appealing to the goddess.

Morgan: I know Melrose Place isnt as "sprawling" as your villa on Aerie or even Illustra...but its cute isnt it?

"It's a beautiful property, Morgan. I don't mean to seem....frigid about staying here, i've just become accustom to living alone and not dealing with unnecessary drama [refering to Mike and Nicolas].

Giving her a reassuring smile.

"I'm sure i'll adapt. Plus, despite the fact i'm living in the Zacchara's old apartment, I have to say they have fabulous taste. The interior renovations they did fit my style perfectly. [taking Morgan's hand] Don't worry. Just take some time to yourself and relax. Trust me, it helps."

Ava DID look extremely more refreshed and relaxed than the last time the six had seen her. She was literally running on fumes from all the stress of being sucked into a different timeline to the drama that occured with Haleigh and Nicolas. So much so her psyche had SPLIT. So her time on Arie was much needed and appriciated. Ava hoped Morgan would find much of the same peace she did while there.

Taking a sip of her chardonney, Ava watched as Cameron came over and greeted everyone. The last time she had seen Cameron they hadn't exactly gotten off on the right foot. He had left Haleigh hanging, and surprise surprise, he did it again. Therefore the goddess wasn't too thrilled to see HIM either. But, she gave him a nod as he complimented them all for looking well.

Morgan began to explain the history of Melrose Place to him as well, but soon the conversation shifted to her warning Cameron not to do anymore disappearing acts. She mentioned how it effected Alison, to which Ava shifted her eyes over to the precog who stood across the courtyard. Since going through the stepping disc to the alternate timeline, the two had become very close. And since being back from Arie, she had yet to speak to Alison.

"Excuse me. [to Haleigh] I'll be right back."

Excusing herself from the group, Ava headed across the courtyard and approached Alison who was standing near one of the buffet tables. Among the various plates of food was a large plate of french fries. Picking up a single fry, Ava took a bite and smirked at Alison.

"Don't tell Haleigh. She'll never let me live it down."

An effort to lighten the mood, Ava chuckled before popping the rest of the fry into her mouth. She could tell Alison was still livid about the Cameron situation. But like all siblings, no matter how angry you are with them, you love them even more. And Ava could see that struggle radiating from Alison's eyes.

Tucking a piece of Alison's blue/black hair behind her ears like a mother would her daughter, she looked at the precog, more concerned now.

"How are you doing Alison?

Onyx slinked through the courtyard… meaning Ava wasn't far behind and soon enough, Ava approached, admonishing Haleigh for hiding the salad. Morgan joined in agreement and Haleigh smirked.

"Now come on…. I'd never try to starve the two of YOU…. If either of you got any thinner, you'd disappear! I just thought I'd have a little laugh, that's all."

Ava joked that Haleigh didn't care if Morgan ate with her fingers, and Haleigh flashed a brilliant smile, shaking her head slowly.

"You know, I really don't. But there IS silverware…. For you more so-fist-ti-kate-ed types."

She replied with a wink. Morgan took a moment to really sell the idea of Melrose to Ava, and then mentioned her imminent departure with the reassurance that she'd answer a call of need. Morgan also brought up the recent events before Barbas… everything that had happened with Nicolas and Set. Haleigh stared off into the distance for a bit, with no comment. She glanced at Zach, who was standing across the courtyard at the bartender's station, and gave him a small smile. He returned it… but his gaze shifted as Cameron passed between them, on the way to greet Morgan, Ava and Haleigh. Haleigh watched him close in, keeping her expression tempered. As he pulled her into a hug she exhaled gently, closing her eyes… she could hold that embrace a long time, but people were watching.

Cameron tried to engage Morgan in small talk about the property and she almost went for it… but she quickly segued into admonishing him to stick around and pressuring him to apologize to his sister. Ava got the hell outta dodge. Haleigh sighed loudly.

"Forced apologies lack sincerity, Morgan. I'm sure Cameron will make his amends when he's ready. In the meantime…. [steely] this is supposed to be a celebration. We are ALL alive and well. Can't that be good enough for a LITTLE while? [pausing, then gesturing towards the cater-tables] The salad's been brought out."

:: Alison had too enjoyed a much needed few days of REST @ MP. They had all taken to sleeping or resting in their apartments for several days and the uninterrupted rest was beneficial to them all.::

:: at the end of the week when everyone finally began to emerge, refreshed and renewed, Alison was ready to return to Greece. She was satisfied that she had done her sisterly duty to save Cameron from Barbas and return him to Earth and to the Six where he would be safe but his careless abandonment of the team, of HER was not something she was so willing to forgive. This had been the SECOND TIME! and where had HE been when she was accidently lost in the time stream?::

:: as Ava drew near [the only other person whom Alison would TOLERATE at this particular moment :D ] the seer smiled lightly as the goddess sneaked a french fry.::

don't worry...i dont think anyone will notice.

:: Alison quietly.::

:: as Ava asked her how she was...Alison looked at her friend.::

I feel relieved, mission accomplished, but at the the same time...I'm very ANGRY.

:: her voice betrayed her anger as she spoke.::

Should I always have to be the one to FIX things? are people EVER going to listen to me? If my own brother and this team will continually doubt my word, then why should i EVER come back? DO they not KNOW that I can abandon them just as i did my own FAMILY once before?

:: the bitterness was there. she was TIRED of being the one to have to pull together and fix what someone ELSE broke. did anyone ever stop to think how SHE might feel? Did CAMERON realize the magnitude of his actions?::

I'm glad to be going back to Greece, Ava. Even if i DIDNT have to...I don't think I could be here for long. How long before Mike tests me again...or Cameron decides to wander off like an irresponsible child?

in the courtyard

<< Morgan knew that ultimately Haleigh was right, but she HAD to say something.>>

Haleigh, look at Alison. You KNOW it's not fair for her to have to go through this time and again without SOME kind of acknowledgement. She's got feelings...and Barbas used those feelings to try to KILL HER.

We're ALL doing better since we've had a chance to SLEEP. we can think clearly and we appreciate everything we have now...including each other. But I know Alison, i KNOW how she feels...I am her best friend.

I'm not saying we should stop the celebration or anything, I'm just saying she deserves to hear something from Cameron sooner rather than later. we BOTH know that in her case...even the SMALLEST if only SINCERE attempt at a gesture or acknowledgement is all she needs.

and Cameron needs to THINK about the choices he makes! This is the second time a major foe of ours used HIM as bait/leverage. and I want all of you to STAY safe in my absence.

<< she takes Haleigh's hand.>>

I'm going to be gone for a WHILE. I just need that time. I need to commune with Hecate and Ororo....i need to spend time on Aerie and Limbo and just get myself together for the future. It's up to YOU to keep the family safe and CONNECTED. Alison and my mother are in Greece but you know they'll come if you need them and someone should check with/on Dominique...the status of our "Truce" with "The Sisterhood" is one that we can't take for granted.

Now that Ava's here, you'll have her and Delilah to help you and after enduring the nightmare with Nicolas in the mansion, i can say that my trust in him as a team mate has been completely restored. my personal feelings ...

<< now speaking in a lower tone as they had sort of moved away from Cameron at this moment.>>

have settled a bit. we many never be a couple again, but the idea of being "FRIENDS" is no longer intolerable to me.

<< she says as she looks over her shoulder to see Firebird hobknobbing with Sharon, Mike and Nicolas.>>

You'll raw power from Sharon, Firebird and Nicolas and Mike is here. I'm not sure if he's staying behind or going to greece with Karen.

It had been a long week. Nicolas had mostly slept, something he usually rarely did, almost NEVER needed but this time..it was welcome. After a day, he mentally reached out to Dominique. The anger was there, the tone was icy and distant, but he could sense something there that he found solace in. A RELIEF that he seemed to be better than when she last saw him. That was all he needed and so he let her be, giving her time and space to ponder his place in her life, if any. As for Sharon, he mostly let her be, as he knew she needed time to calm further. But he did send her a card after a day, just couldn't help it. It had an old picture of Sharon, Gustav and Nicolas on it and said the following:

Maybe we can never be like this again; if that is the case, I accept that it is all my fault. But I hope that you can one day forgive me. You make me a better person, Sharon. I NEED you to help me be a better person. I am sorry about hurting you. If not for your disappointment, I would have likely been lost this last episode in my life. But I have the rest of my life to show you that I am still truly the person in this picture.

Sincerely,

Nicolas King

He dressed slowly in comfortable slacks and a nice shirt, and looked better than ever, refreshed...with a gleam in his eye not seen by the team in quite some time. He walked out confidently to the opening where the party was to be held, and made his way to where Blaze and Sharon stood chatting.

Hello Blaze...Sharon. You both look well today. I wish we were just meeting to celebrate rather than see someone off.

Alison was angry. Resentful of the fact that like everyone else in the six, Cameron very much a curse. Ava could see that she was fed up with everyone--ESPECIALLY Mike, Nicolas, and Cameron--constantly brushing her warnings aside.

Alison: Should I always have to be the one to FIX things? are people EVER going to listen to me? If my own brother and this team will continually doubt my word, then why should i EVER come back? DO they not KNOW that I can abandon them just as i did my own FAMILY once before?

"I don't believe that, Alison. Not for a second. Out of everyone on this team, you and I are the most similar to each other. We shut down our feelings and become cold and distant from everyone because....well I suppose it's a defense mechenisim. I know you hate looking vulnerable; trust me, I do to. So we push those who hurt us away and say 'screw it', why bother? But when push comes to shove, you love this team. You love your brother....and I don't ever see you abandoning them. You just need time to remember that...

Alison: I'm glad to be going back to Greece, Ava. Even if i DIDNT have to...I don't think I could be here for long. How long before Mike tests me again...or Cameron decides to wander off like an irresponsible child?

[rolling her eyes] "I'm not exactly the best person to ask about Mike. I STILL struggle with what I did to him....and not for the reasons everyone expects. As for Cameron....I don't know. We didn't exactly get off on the best foot either, but despite that, he seems to care for you deeply. He's young, Alison. I know when I was his age I did reckless things....like kill my mother."

A crude joke, but one Ava could make now that she had made amends with Demeter.

"Just give it time. People don't change overnight....Something i've learned to come to terms with myself..."

It was obvious Ava was still having a bit of an internal struggle about certain things, but she was definitely at a better place than a month earlier when the six moved to Melrose Place and she remained on Arie.

in the courtyard

[ Sharon had her silver gryfalcons perched high above to enjoy the night air and some fresh fruit and meat. She was in the courtyard, having mingled with nearly everyone [Nicolas being the obvious exception] With her hair pulled back into a sleek pony tail, She wearing wearing a form fitting silver tank and mini skirt with low slung silver "double belt" along with silver high heels.]

[ at some point she returned to her apartment (3) and once inside, she found a note and a picture of herself...from a lifetime ago with Gustav and a young Nicolas.]

[ the stone faced amazon was hardly amused at the idea that Nicolas could have been in her apartment WITHOUT her permission as she took the not into her hand.]

Nicolas said:

Nicolas King

[ Sharon folded the note neatly, holding a moment before tossing it in a small trash can near her desk. the picture, on the other hand, she left resting under the lamp.]

[ ALOT had happened, alot of things exposed, old wounds reopened, NEW ones made etc. Barbas was a mental and emotional test for them all and Claudia, despite being a HATED personal enemy of Sharon's, had become prey herself through it all. But they were through with all that now. Nicolas wasn't a little boy. He could make his own choices and now he understood that those choices could have far reaching ramifications. For Sharon, his affair with Claudia was a deep disrespect and betrayal, one that she'd NEVER forget BUT ...she was not BEYOND forgiving him. Not THIS time anyway. ;) ]

[ returning outside to the courtyard, she soon met Blaze.]

Well, looks like things are going to be changing quite a bit. I never thought I'd see the day where I'd be fighting on the front lines of the Six...like THIS. But here I am! I've been here now through at least three major capers. Now Karen and Alison are returning to Greece and Morgan is going to Aerie for a while...

Nicolas said:
Hello Blaze...Sharon. You both look well today. I wish we were just meeting to celebrate rather than see someone off.

[ Nicolas had come over to where they were and Sharon looked at him.]

Yes...Its the first time in a LONG time i think that i've slept. I'd forgotten how therapeutic and necessary it is. You're looking well. what a lovely evening this is. Cameron is back safe , Ava has returned and everyone is looking and feeling much better after a few days of rest.

[ the mutate said in a normal friendly tone. the image of the picture still in her mind, in contrast with the young man in front of her. Nicolas lamented the impending departure of the three witches. ]

well we all knew that Alison and most likely Karen would return to Greece when the danger was passed and the battle over and as for Morgan, I don't blame her for taking some time...but she'll be back when she's ready.

[ speaking of someone returning, Sharon wondered about Alycia Barnett. Maybe Alycia PREFERRED her life on Themyscria rather than back in "man's world". She certainly had THRIVED and EXCELLED in the ways and teachings of the Amazons thus far. Would Alycia ever return to the mainstream world...to her family?]

I'm sure of that...

:: Alison looked down and allowed her facial expression to soften as the smooth jazz played in the air around them.::

Yes...I suppose your right!

:: Ava and Alison were definately kindred spirits in a way that was even different Morgan and it was nice to have someone who understood, appreciated and allowed her to just BE. Ava had more in common with Delilah than she might have realized in that as well.::

It's been a rough few days. So much happened but it all went the way it should and I ...we succeeded in rescuing Cameron. Barbas is gone and now...we can all move on.

I"m ready to go back to Greece but I'll be back to visit in a while...Cameron needs to stay here. It's the safest place for him, among the Six. And i need some time...

:: she lookd back at Ava.::

I think I experienced what I did in the nightmare to show me that there has to be a better way...and I have to find it. But right now, I just can't look at him, knowing what he put me through...TWICE and that it could very well happen again.

Persephone said:

A crude joke, but one Ava could make now that she had made amends with Demeter.

:: the seer's colbalt blue eyes sparkled a bit as Ava reveled in aa bit of crude humour. it WAS a hell of a folly of youth, and having witnessed what Barbas attempted to do to Demeter when she barred his way to a young Persephone...it just made it all a bit more bitter sweet. If anybody understand the need for time, it was Ava. How ironic that she whould admonish a PRECOG of that.

Persephone said:

yes...time. for both of us.

:: she nodded and smiled at her friend.::

But as always, you know where i'll be if you ...any of you need me.

now...let's try to enjoy the rest of the evening together. Soon karen, morgan and I will be leaving.

The Courtyard

:: Cameron listened to everyone's words intently, but part of him was frustrated. The last time Cameron left it was a little different, but the only real person he had to answer that question to was his sister. He was trying to leave the Six to keep him safe, not bring them more trouble. Sighing deeply, he put his drink on a nearby table and responded. ::

"I am standing right here.. I will go and talk to Alison. I just didn't think a celebration was the right time or place. But for what it's worth, it is really good.. and I mean REALLY good to see you both, and Morgan I will miss you more than you know. Thank you for being the best friend and sister Alison never had, and if I don't see you before you leave. I love you and stay safe."

:: He offered her a hug, a wink to Haleigh and made his way over to the courtyard trying to black out the vision he had just seen in his head. He had sensed the tension between Morgan and Haleigh and Nicholas since he had returned but he couldn't put his finger on it. But soon his mind was flooded with images including one of Nicholas and Haleigh together, and the events that followed when the Six first arrived in Los Angeles. It was a lot to take in and quite honestly it hit him like a ton of bricks, but he couldn't let anyone know. Again not the time nor the place and he WAS trying to be a better and bigger person. ::

:: Making his way over to Alison and Ava he spotted Sharon Kelly and was quite relieved to see her both alive and back to her gracious self. The last time he had seen Sharon she was reaking havoc on NYC and in so much obvious pain. In fact Cameron still had the scar she left on his chest in his vision/dream so many moons ago. He nodded his head and waved to her as he reached his sister and Ava Cassadine. ::

"Sorry to interrupt Ava, but do you mind if I borrow my sister for a few moments. It shouldn't take too long... Alison?"

:: He was hoping that Ava had disbanded the Alliance to make Cameron's life a Living Hell and would at least be cordial. Their relationship was much like that of his and Alison's when they first met so long ago. He took his sister aside to a table and sat down. He began. ::

"There are alot of things I need to tell you..."

Morgan dug her heels in regarding Cameron, and he took the anvil like hint she was dropping and went over to Alison without further delay. Morgan and Haleigh now had a minute alone, and Haleigh dropped her voice down a bit.

"You don't think I might have SOME idea how Alison feels? He left me too. He left ALL of us…. and of COURSE she deserves an acknowledgment and an explanation and an apology. It's just…. [shaking her head with a sad smile] this may very well be our last FULL ROSTER gathering in a while. I find myself actively wishing it won't be a complete disaster. Or another bad memory. [looking away, blinking back tears] Another reason to leave…. [scoffing] Gawd… I don't know WHY I'm so emotionally sentimental all of a sudden. Goddamn Barbas and his fucking near death experiences and greatest fear shit."

Morgan takes her hand and explains her sabbatical and mentions that her and Nicolas are in a good place. Haleigh nods, glad that at least that had settled back down. Things weren't exactly the same… but it seemed they had all recovered enough to carry on as 'normal'.

"Yeah, we'll be fine Morgan, really. You don't have to worry. I mean hey, I'm actually not hated by ANYONE right now… so this is a good time for you to make a clean getaway…. [smirking] before that changes. If we run into any problems, I promise you, I WILL hesitate to call you. Honestly, DON'T sweat it. Everything will be alright. You go get your R&R, and we'll be right here when you get back."

Mike had just finished an interesting week. In a way, Barbas was easier because he knew that Karen would share the experience with him. But now...he had no idea what she had in mind. And so he walked out of his apartment planning to find out.

Mike was wearing jeans and a white sleeveless t-shirt with cowboy boots, something comfortable that he'd worn to see his wolves just before the dinner. He walked over to Blaze and Sharon, greeting them both.

Hey ladies. You look GREAT. Reminds me of why I stick with this crazy crew.

Mike winked as he harmlessly flirted with the pair.

In any case, excuse me while I see my favorite girl.

Mike walked over to Karen, embracing her.

You have a moment for a walk? I think you know that we need to talk...

in the courtyard

<< Morgan appreciated Haleigh wanted to enjoy the last "full roster" gathering of the team without any problems. As they spoke, Haleigh also understand what Morgan felt about Alison. All in all, Morgan was assured that they would all be okay.>>

It's funny...when when all we had was Aerie...it felt like exile. it WAS, but now, I rather look forward to returning there for a while. I guess its proof that us "special people" are still at our root...as Alycia would say "only human." we need the world just as much as it needs us. Unlike the Olympians, we understand that we manage to remain apart of it...

<< smiling a bit as she looked around seeing everyone talking here and there, she noticed Zach talking Delilah and her mother. >>

You have Zach BACK now... but << speaking quietly.>> I KNOW that with Cameron here...it wont be as easy it might seem but i guess after all we went through with Barbas...everything else will be "easier" to deal with now.

I'm leaving Tinkerbell here too. Between Blaze, Delilah and Nicolas...I know she'll be well cared for. She'll be able to keep her distance from the larger animals so I'm not worried. The kitten will come with me. she's still small...and i'd rather keep an eye on her myself.

thank you, ava. I'll say goodbye when its finally time.

:: she hands off her empty glass to an attendent as she walks with Cameron a few paces over near the pool.::

Cameron.

:: she said coldly.::

It's good to have you back...though I certainly hope you're not going to make a habit of this. there comes a point where a person BOTTOMS OUT in their emotional despair and Barbas pushed most of us there this last time.

out on to melrose avenue

<< Karen had enjoyed the evening so far. seeing the six come out on the otherside of the nightmare and now having had a week to rest up and really begin moving on...it put Karen's mind at ease. Even some of her own regrets about Arielle had come to a rational conclusion now. She'd had her long awaited reunion with her Grammie, learned more about her past and understood that where she was in her life now was a good thing.>>

<< tonight she felt a little more like she did during her time in New York, the feeling she had right after she knew she was free of CHRISTOPHER! Like she'd make it after all.>>

<< she sat lady like on a patio chair near the pool, but across from where some of the others where. she talked with Delilah, and soon Zach greeted them. Karen had never looked TOO harshly upon the young man the first time round, so it was easy for her to accept him without any harsh judgement. he certainly wasnt the first man to make a mistake...unkowingly.>>

<< the evening progressed and soon Mike found her, he greeted her with a hug and asked her if she'd walk with him.>>

Well hello Michael.

<< as Micahel asked her to walk with him for a moment, she excused herself from Delilah.>>

Pardon me, Delilah dear.

<< she said as she smiled and wrapped her arm under his.>>

<< she knew michael would want to talk about some things. part of her understood, but part of her also wondered why he waited until now. he KNEW that there'd come a point where she'd have to return to Greece.>>

<< they walked together slowly toward the gates leading out to Melrose Ave. traffic was busy this evening on the trendy street but still under the sidewalk trees and lights, it was safe to walk and so the witch moved along in her high heels. >>

Now Michael, if it's about my returning to Greece with Alison, you knew that she and I were only here to help Morgan and the rest of you in the nightmare.
