2014 Emmys

Well it was a REALLY BAD EMMYS!!

Modern Family taking home so many awards when there is so many new hilarious and groundbreaking shows on the air/Netflix.

Not to mention that they keep ROBBING Keri Washington of an Emmy for Scandal. I mean she and that whole cast are so damn good!

It was predictable and in the worst way.

It was predictable and in the worst way.

I don't watch the Emmys exactly for this reason. I used to watch them all the time because I knew who was nominated and I knew the shows as well.

I honestly think there should be two Emmy shows. One for the cable networks and Netflix and the other for the regular networks. I say this because there are so many fantastic actors and actresses out there that don't seem to get any credit because the cable network shows are the ones who seem to walk away with the most awards and nominations [I don't watch any of those shows aside from Homeland].

I'm staying with a friend until I leave the island, and she doesn't have cable. :( I was looking for a live stream online to watch, but they just had the red carpet live stream and not the actual show. So yeah...first time in probably 10 years I didn't actually watch the Emmy's live lol.

I did see who won....OITNB got robbed in the supporting actress category. Kate Mulgrew should of taken it. Soooo happy Jessica Lang and Kathy Bates too lead and supporting actress in a mini series. Annoyed that OITNB didn't win best comedy. And I figured that Breaking Bad would sweep the dramatic categories since it's the last year they're eligible since their show ended. Though I was hoping that Lena Headey would win as supporting even though I knew it was a long shot. ;)

But I agree with Brandon. There are so many great shows on [especially on Netflix] that keep getting overlooked. Hopefully next year we'll get some new blood in there as far as nominations and wins.

Don't worry. I will have cable by the time the Golden Globes comes on. ;) lol

I was listening to a radio program this morning on NPR while on my way to work & one of the TV correspondents said the same thing, Brandon, that it's a very creative time for tv programming & that the choices for winners on the emmys last night seemed "safe" or "predictable".
