So....VMA's? Epic fail.
- I love Chelsea Handler, but she was not a good host.
- Kanye Wests performance was a joke. Seriously....did he REALLY just sing "lets have a toast for the douchebags"?
- Taylor Swift, we get it, you're VMA award moment was stolen by said douchebag above....but that performance was just a cry for more attention. [even though the song was really pretty lol]
- All the other performances were pretty snooze worthy except for: Florence and the Machines, Paramore, and Linkin Park. [imo]
Highlights?
- Three performances listed above.
- Lady Gaga winning video of the year and wearing those crazy ass outfits throughout the show.
- Cher presenting to Lady Gaga! hahaha.

I DVR'd it so I could fast forward everything but Joe Manganiello's appearance lol
Ah right! I forgot about him and Evan Rachel Wood presenting. That was another highlight.

I love Chelsea Handler too, and I thought she was really funny. Lady Gaga was good too, and I just found out that she had meat on her head but I loved her dress. And Cher wore her costume from "If I could turn back," which was cool. But Rihanna's new hairstyle looks stunning on her, and I'm glad that she got rid of the short blond hair.

as always didn't watch the VMA's but the knowledge that Gaga's dress is being persevered . . . . as jerky and the reaction faces to the dress made the show worthwhile to me

i watched this year's VMAs (since i really couldnt do anything else) and felt it was definately a sign....that the VMA's are less relevant than ever before, at least to anyone 25 and up. even the audience seemed rather tame. there've been some VMA's where the audience was on fire with energy but definately not this year.
Lady Gaga cleaned up, as I expected she would.
Biggest highlight of the VMAs for me? CHER! I'm old enough to remember when she originally wore that outfit in the "if i could turn back time" video. and I just think its amazing that she, at 64, came out and rocked that outfit all these years later. She definately reminded Lady Gaga and everyone else that LG isnt the first or even "original" head turner'...love the "Baby Gaga" and "peanut or plain eminems" comment lol!
