Chances are good that you're making a few of these common mistakes on your resume. How many are you guilty of?

------
for # 3When I took a free resume' refresher course a few years ago, I learned about ditching the "standard" of listing job duties as opposed to conveying progress and accomplishments w/ job listings.

I was guilty of # 5 at one time but have long since pulled that bit out of my resume'

but I have to say #9 is one that I hear differing opinions on w/ various articles like this. Some say do a cover letter, others don't. there's even some that claim to be from the mouths of H.R. people themselves where they claim "no one reads cover letters anymore."

Exactly...I can tell you that in my field if I focused on accomplishments rather than aptitude my resume would be used as toilet paper. I have to list what I can do as training me post-hire if I am a know-nothing is prohibitively expensive.

10 has definitely gotten me and i do leave out the volunteer work i did in high school . . . should fix that
