I read a synopsis of this storyline on Wikipedia recently and WOW!! talk about digging up the past and "bringing it all together" , this story had it all!! everyone from Dazzler to MADELYNNE to Carol Danvers appeared in this story. Characters that i always wanted to see sharing the same panels finally did so..and others were reunited! it was fantastic!

sadly though, many people met their "end" as the climax occurred in Shi'ar space. i thought Madelynne really showed herself to be the BETTER half of Jean Grey and it was nice to see them interacting side by side..as well as Scott and Madelynne being able to bury the hatchet. Whoever thought Scott would be able to APOLOGIZE for being the monumental asshole that he was?

this storyline was so intriguing even in synopsis form i've ORDERED the complete issue listing so i can read it fully!

did anyone else read it? what did you think of it? what did you like or not like about it

"The End" started out well but it really wasn't that good. it made a good try to bring all the X-men mythos together but it really wasn't that good at the end but the beginning and middle are good

why didnt you like it at the end? from what i read,
Madelynne pretty much saves the day
..the ultimate full circle for HER dealing with that team. i think the Phoenix was used as a crutch..and with Jean, Rachel AND Madelynne all in the same space..that could have better handled...even the synopsis seemed to suggest that Phoenix was cosmic bandaid.

i loved reading how so many characters from years gone by returned...and how many others had finally begun to reach points in their life BEYOND simply "trying to achieve xavier's dream" . there was alot of death...hence the "end" i suppose. but still, i cant wait to read it fully.

i just felt the book wasn't the best it could be and especially when compared with the other better "the End" books. it just wasn't for me i guess
