So what are you guys reading?

Having finished Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time, i had to find more books to read.

Also finished four crime books by Lars Kepler (The Hypnotist, The Nightmare, The Fire Witness & Sandman)

So now i am back on fantasy, turns out my sister had most of A tale of the Malazan Books of the fallen by Steven Erikson. So now i am reading the first book: Gardens of the Moon.

I have really enjoyed the book so far, things are happening at good pace, not too slow but not too fast either (for my taste at least)
There is magic, intrigues and scheming, and things that make me want to read and learn more.

All of the books i have mentioned i am recommending.

The last book I just finished reading was:

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Marbles-Depression-Michelangelo-Graphic-Memoir/dp/1592407323"]Marbles: Mania, Depression, Michelangelo, and Me: A Graphic Memoir: Ellen Forney: 9781592407323: Amazon.com: Books@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51CBvnqztNL.@@AMEPARAM@@51CBvnqztNL[/ame]

It was recommended to me by an acquaintance who struggles w/ some of the same mental health issues the author/lead character in the book struggles with. & since I suffer from generalized anxiety disorder, I decided to check it out. It was very good. Very honest, @ times whimsical & @ other times very plaintive. Ellen Forney did a great job & I even recommended this book to my mom who's a psychotherapist as something she might possibly suggest to her patients for reading & a source of encouragement. After reading it herself, she decided to put a copy in her office to share w/ her patients.

I'm currently reading:

What did you think of The Malazan book of the fallen so far BK?

They are just so dense, there are some books I can just work my way through but the Malazan series I feel like every few pages I have to take a moment and digest the 50 plot important things that just happened.

I feel like I'm procrastinating on the last three but I shall finish them

I'm making myself read Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. It's definitely written in a different style, which i give the author kudos for. Not sure if I will want to keep reading once they get to the 9/11 stuff though.

I'm just starting in on "The Mysterious Island" by Jules Verne after finishing Conrad's "Heart of darkness". Usually I love Verne's stuff so I'm hoping I'll enjoy this one too. I'm also going to try out a comic book named "The Unwritten" my friend has insisted that I need to read. We'll see if I like it as much as I liked "The Sandman".

I had a goal to read 100 books this year (joined Goodreads to keep track) and weehoo! I've already reached 96 :) Not too shabby at all.
