I really liked the whole astral nightmare of The Light That Failed because I think it was the very first time we saw THAT much of Black and I think Farrah did a really good job with how he talked and all of that. It gave a different aspect to that character that I don't think we had seen before. :nod:

God...Foxfire is really so painful for me here...There was so much time wasted on that back and forth and the need for Foxfire to have a moment that it really just caused this way off storyline thing to occur and wasted several pages in my opinion lol.

Reading through here? I am actually starting to like Erika...I remember that playing her was incredibly hard because Alison really wanted nothing to do with her. I really wanted to make her polar opposite to Alison in the fact that she didn't use dark magick because she saw what it did to her mother, but at every turn Alison and Morgan were like "STOP BEING A MESSIAH BITCH!" and I was like DAYUM, i'm just trying to make a character that is not as FUCKED up as the rest of you bitches :haha: Sue me for being well adjusted lol...AND THEN they hated her when she went crazy and killed Cameron haha.

I actually REALLY liked Haleigh in this thread because I felt like Haleigh really was giving it back to Morgan in a way that she needed to hear, because it was obvious that Morgan was being the crazy one here, and she had just completed her transformation so she was at the peak of insanity lol. But I always say about Haleigh, she has a way of convincing you that her motives are justified even when you think she's totally WRONG :haha:

I loved how often Alison made reference that they needed to use the weakest member of the King Family as bait...AKA Cameron haha! That BITCH! Thankfully Haleigh and Alexis stuck up for him lol.

The one thing I didn't like about this storyline is that we were simply putting too much of future storylines in it, and I think it lost some of it's appeal because of it...We are foreshadowing the death of Alexis' brother, the Iferno, etc...It made the thread seem a little disjointed and with Foxfire's totally erratic behavior, it got really dicey in parts.

Funny Erika Quote: "First off...Blaze, Alexis...this is not Jerry Springer, my kitchen is not the stage and this is not the time nor the place for bickering, so kindly stop it so we can focus on the task at hand..."

I really liked the way Kelly's powers work in this thread, I love that she just fucks with them all subtly and causes them to get all kinds of pissed off at each other. This is probably my favorite thread that Witchfire is in.

Also...I don't know, this is when I had a really hard time with Alison AND Morgan for that matter...It seemed like to ME that they felt like they could act in ANY certain way because they thought they were BETTER than the others, and anytime the others said or did anything they were downright almost MURDERED...Not saying that was right or wrong, just saying it was HARD to try and have any kind of relationship with those characters because they were so obstinate.. Not to say that Cameron and Haleigh didn't stir shit up, but really reading the threads back now, Alison and Morgan were INCREDIBLY confrontational to the point of where Haleigh and Cameron and sometimes Blaze couldn't even WALK into the room without being totally verbally annihilated and or attacked :haha:

This was also the pinnacle of Cameron and Haleigh's "bromance" haha. They truly had each other's back in every way possible, and I will say I do miss that relationship they had.

I REALLY enjoyed the initial 'firefight' between Alison and Kelly...It was really interesting to see those two just BATTLE and the way that each of their powers worked, it was kind of cool..I liked the move where Kelly was able to sense the energy that composed Alison's spell and was willing to WALK through it just so she could attack her daughter :haha:

Also Sidebar...Blaze's alleigances to people seem to change everytime I go to a next page...She's pissed at Morgan, then she's pissed at Haleigh...but she was ALWAYS seemingly pissed at Alexis :haha:

I liked this Haleigh Quote as Well: ""No. I'm putting my foot down right now.... they've been taking Cameron through the gears all night. It's NOT his fault his mother has returned... and she duped us ALL in the beginning. Cameron helped to save ALL our lives in the Citadle... and now it is time to reciprocate. Its not too much to ask we treat him as the human being he is. I'm a lot of terrible things... but I'm not nor ever will i be a TRAITOR...."

It's just hilarious because Alison is like "OH CAMERON IS HORRIBLE!?! Why Can't Haleigh, Blaze, Alexis, Erika, Everybody but Alison and I see it?!" :haha:

There's ALOT of chaos & dischord happening in the Six now. For every BRIEF moment the team seems to be coming together in these earlier stories, something or SOMEONE (usually Haleigh or Cameron...but SOMETIMES Morgan and Alison ) wreck the cohesion & everyone descends into what you see going on here.

im definitely not pleased w/ some of my rp'ing in these earlier stories & if i had it to do over again I would not have had Morgan assault Blaze. That was definitely a LOW moment for Morgan that rightfully haunted her for multiple story lines.

I may be in the minority here, but I see Blaze was really trying to reach out to her sister. She seemed to take Alison's cryptic warnings about Morgan's personal "DESCENT" to heart & was trying her best to restore the bridge & connection w/ her sister before it was too late.

She's almost like the "investigative consciousness" in the prologue to the Inferno. I dont think her telling the others to leave Morgan be & give her time alone on the butte was a moment that helped bring about the inferno. Morgan's descent into madeness was a process that started BEFORE this story & just reached it's tipping point here. She could've stayed at Erika's house & it still would've happened.

I do see some eerie similarities between her here & Firebird now. Her flashback with Darkchilde was more like a fearful "daydream" to me (as i look at it now) but given Firebird's heightened awareness & empathy (an ability Foxfire displayed at different times as well) & thinking about the conversation Harbinger & Rampage had about Foxfire vs Firebird in the CURRENT story, its definitely a wild coincidence how the question of "Which Blaze belonged in this timeline" could be alluded to even THIS far back.

BUT Firebird would never be so "wishy washy" in her allegiances.

I stand by Alison's demeanor & position in this story b/c She was VERY hard back then & she wanted nothing to do w/ the family that was manifesting itself to her with each passing story. Cameron had rightfully earned her contempt & Erika was beyond her willingness to entertain or even understand. I think that GIVEN TIME, she & Erika COULD have found their way to a mutual respect & that's the ONE thing I would change about Alison in this story.


All of this "us vs. them" really makes me cringe lol. we had too much of that going on back then. I maintain that Morgan & Alison BOTH had their reasons for being as harsh as they were & Cameron & Haleigh did NOT help w/ that , BUT i look back on it now as i re-read & I think Blaze suffered unfairly (especially at Morgan's hands) & thank the goddess Delilah DID show up when she did. While she was firmly on Morgan & Alison's side, she seemed to bring some much needed BALANCE.


The scene where Kelly appears before Alison as a cat is cute in an odd sort of way. It definitely had a "Charmed"-esque feel to it as Alison tried to be gentle w/ it, only for it to turn out to be her MOTHER luring her into a trap & confrontation.

The magickal fire fight between them...it's cool to read, but I think I could do ALOT better w/ Harbinger now in that regard :nod: It's hard trying to come up w/ spell incantations :haha:


My favorite character in this story is Alison, followed by Delilah. My favorite thing about the story is...the astral nightmare. I'm glad that others enjoyed reading it. I really wanted to bring a "twilight zone"/surreal kind of effect in that "thread w/in a thread" story where Morgan completes her descent & the match for the inferno is lit!that's why i included Black in it.

We can see why Cameron & Haleigh have such feelings for each other that linger to this day. They really DID advocate for each other in a steadfast way even in the face of such opposition. But it wouldve been nice if the two of them could have applied a SHRED of that mutual concern to OTHERS in their group as well though the same thing could be said for Morgan & Alison :haha:
