I know there has got to be more than a few people that here that enjoy gaming so this is for handhelds, consoles and PCs. I personally just got a Nintendo Wii (yes i am a Nintendo fanboy lol) and a copy of Super Smash Brawl. Even if you're not in the current console cycle sound off if you got a few fond memories.

The only 'new' station I have is the PS2. But my sister just got Guitar Hero 3 for her birthday and let me tell you, it's SO much fun. And so addictive lol. I tried the Wii a couple weeks ago and it was pretty fun too....although I hurt my shoulder swinging the controller when playing tennis LOL. It's so hard not to get into the game. :p

I second that Guitar Hero, Sam. Me and the wife normally play RPGs such as Baldur's gate or Champions of Norrath, but when my buddy brought by Guitar Hero? We were HOOKED.

God I could play Guitar Hero all day long. Wish I had one lol

A couple of guys I worked with brought it with them to the hotels when we went on location, and it was awesome. Thought staying up until 5am playing it when you have to go to work the next day is not always the best idea ever... :D

My dad bought a Wii a couple of weeks ago when it came back in stock every where and I've pretty much been CONTINUOUSLY SORE since then, LOL! From the Wii sports games to now the wii fit, that thing has been just ADDICTIVE! I've actually stopped going to the gym now because of the Wii Fit, it's SO much fun and I've been getting a better, more rounded workout, LOL!

The games are pretty simplistic but the best thing about it is the arcade feel. it more than makes up for a less spectacular game selection than say, the PS3 or 360.

And I hear y'all on the guitar hero! I was WAAAAY behind the major craze, I actually didn't start playing it until just before III came out, and only then because I was at a party and they busted out the actual guitar controllers. I never understood it before, never wanted to, but I'd had a little to drink and was like 'wth, why not?' OMG.... hilarity ensued. then an hour or so later, after i managed a somewhat drunken rythym, I was whooping ASS and I've pretty much been hooked ever since, LOL! I bought one for the Wii and now Dad's already PREORDERED the Rock Band set that's coming out.... it's like an EPIDEMIC, LMAO!

I knew it worked for guys, but the GALS get it too?!! Yet another reason to love it. I heard that there was an Aerosmith version coming, Vil. That should get the juices flowing, LOL!!

I'll be honest i play Guitar Hero a little but not enough to be good lol. My roommate has 1,2,3 and the rock the 80's terrible at all of them lol.

I'm loving the Wii though just got it and can't stop with the Wii Boxing, I got everyone in my family playing. now i just got to decide if i want to pick up Mario Kart Wii or Legends of Zelda.

All the grips on my crew thought I was the coolest chick in the world because I was good at Guitar Hero. Our first best boy (before he got fired) sucked and gave up in the middle of the song, and I picked up the guitar and got it back to green by the end. Helped me score my Foxy McHot-a-lot ;)

That's how to get your groove on!!
I'm old-fashioned I suppose since I'm for the old-school systems like Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and Playstation. I was a hardcore gamer back in the day between those three systems, especially when Mortal Kombat was released for Sega Genesis.

But in all fairness game systems have evolved in both graphics, the realism, and the level of entertainment. The latest system I have is PS2 (sadly I know! lol) but I kinda got out of playing video games. Tomb Raider for PS1 is classic to me, I disliked the new creation of her in PS2.

As for Guitar Hero, I've never played it but I'd try it. It looks pretty fun and the same with Wii.

You guys mentioned about Guitar Hero, how about Rock Band? My friend's brother was big into both games lol. I just wondered if there was a connection on it.

I say we have a game party, you guys can play and I'll bartend. :D It'll be some drunken fun lol. I can see what it is you all are raving about lol. :xyxthumbs:

I'd had a little to drink and was like 'wth, why not?'

Isn't having 'a little to drink' before Guitar Hero pretty much a prerequisite? ;)

I don't have Guitar Hero, and I doubt I'll get one, mainly for the reason that practically all of my friends have it, so I don't see the point in shelling out all that money if I can just go mooch off someone else ;P. It's SO addicting. The best is watching someone play for the first time - do terrible - and then never want to give up the controller. It's like a drug, honestly! Speaking of Rock Band, too - does anyone else see those late night after-hours Wal-Mart customers playing Rock Band in the electronics section? Or is that just me? I swear, every time I'm brave enough to wander into Wal-Mart after hours I see the SAME two grown ass men playing on the Rock Band set-up the store has up.

I haven't played it, personally - Guitar Hero is enough of a fix for me, haha, but I'm sure I'll get around to being addicted to that sooner than later.

I used to be a big gamer - mainly the shooting/military games, but I haven't had much time to pay attention to my Xbox 360 lately. The only games I will play when I have free time is Call of Duty 4, and the new Grand Theft Auto.

Of course, but for me its Bestbuy. whenever you go in same 2-3 employees playing the Rock Band demo. Its even worst when you see a few kids begging for a chance to play but the look on their faces when they fail a song is oh so sweet.

The non-Aerosmith songs on the new GH fail to impress me, but it's worth it for the Aerosmith stuff, which I guess is why you'd buy it in the first place lol
