I HATE COMCAST.

I'm not alone either: Comcast most hated company in america

But what makes it worse is that there are no other options for me in my area....& I live in Nashville! AT&T Uverse is weak, w/ slower speeds...& Verizon isn't even here!

Google Fiber just came to town but is only operating in the gentrified areas of midtown where all the spoiled hipsters are living in their outrageously overpriced lofts. They were supposed to bring COMPETITION w/ their highspeed gigabit speed internet service...but their expansion has been SLOWED due to efforts by comcast & at&t to block them, & the city council seems rather IMPOTENT in their efforts to do anything about it. Now Google Fiber is threatening to walk from the Nashville & surrounding market if they don't get the access they need to expand.

It's outrageous to me that Comcast can operate the way it does, virtually unchecked, & freezing out competitors from areas where ppl are crying out for other options.

Yeah, the whole cable thing is a mess. This is what happens when there's little or no competition. They can just charge whatever they want.

I have comcast and upgraded my service recently. I set an appointment for them to come out and they didn't. I didn't stress too much about it because I was like "well maybe I don't need that upgrade anyway." A few days later I realized I now had the channels I was looking for and then received a bill for almost $600!! I was charged for all these crazy ass things and called them and was like "are you trying to tell me that it costs over five hundred dollars for somebody at Comcast to push a damn button? Because nobody came to my house at all!" I didn't even get a new box or anything. They were pretty unresponsive so I got the email to the president of Comcast's office and roasted his ass. Needless to say I got a huge ass credit that's covered my bill for like the last five months lol.

Yeah um....you can ask @Clara Oswald what I'm contemplating doing w/ Comcast...since I know where one of their regional offices is...

I have gone the route you did, when I ended up communicating w/ a regional manager & I got 6 months credit, etc...but that time has since passed, there's fuckery w/ my bill, my supposed "xfinity blast" high speed wireless service doesn't work a full 7 days of the week ANY week, & w/ my condition...I do not have the time OR the mental energy to waste on the phone w/ "1 8o0 comcast" waiting for hours, or doing battle w/ CSRs who speak broken english, tell lies & aren't empowered to do anything. it was only b/c I searched through a YELLOW PAGES (couldnt even find the contact info online) that I found some actual contact information for the comcast regional office down here! They were SO surprised when I called that direct number & I said "don't you DARE route me into the queue for 800-comcast! "
