Is anyone watching live or DVRing the Royal Wedding? It airs over here at 5am EST and i'll be taping it so I can watch it tomorrow. Being from a Welsh family it's a pretty big deal, so we'll be tuning in. But I was wondering if anyone else will be?

Probably not.

I think they would prefer it private and, as someone who was married the way he wanted to be, I will respect that.

II enjoy the british royal family. Diana & The Queen Elizabeth II have always been women I admired and I don't knock them for their lives or what they have...I just personally don't feel inclined to keep up with this wedding.

IMO, Kate n Wills are about as exciting as cardboard. They arent Charles n Diana by any means. THAT was a fairytale wedding. Sam I dont think you were even born yet when that happened lol and as small as I was...I remember it like it was a classic disney movie, watching it with my mother.

One key thing about that wedding vs this one is that the media machine wasnt as it is now and there werent websites, count downs, twitter/fb accts, pod casts , commercials , "the latest updates on what so and so might be wearing and the seating arrangements" and all this other bullshit.

Wills isnt aging well. He's going bald and his brother looks like he's on coke. Clearly they inherited their father's capacity for aging...BADLY. Diana was BEAUTIFUL and hardly showed signs of aging by the time of her untimely death.

Plus i feel like in the wake of these killer tornados, 30+ dead, 1 million w/out power, a raging racist (donald trump) all over the damn tv and other things going on right here...a royal wedding really isnt that high a priority.

Agreed Vil. I mean, yeah there's a lot going on right now, but is it wrong to want to watch something HAPPY for once? I feel like all i'm ever surrounded with is negative story's.

I watched the wedding and I thought it was beautiful. Kate's dress was gorgeous and she looked gorgeous. I think considering the circumstances and the situation she's getting into with being royalty now, she's conducted herself perfectly and beautifully.

I wasn't born when Diana was married, however i'm glad that I got to witness this royal wedding.

hey im not knocking anybody for what they watch ;) (unless its real housewives of atlanta or anything involving a kardashian) I was just speaking for myself. I had been reading articles about Kate months ago and she just bored me. like i mentioned, Diana and Queen Elizabeth II are women I grew up watching and admiring. This wedding is for a new generation. the media saturation of it was another reason i was turned off by it.

Im enjoying the reations im reading online about Victoria 'Posh Spice' Beckham's dress...apparently it was a spectacular FAIL and after seeing a pic of it...i agreed. she looked like an extra from an episode of the Twilight Zone :haha:

hope its a happy occasion for the new couple but I'm not watching, sometimes the media blitz is just too much

LOL! I saw that during the broadcast, it's ridiculous. One of the announcers said it looked like a ski ball game hahahaha.

Another announce said it looked like she was wearing a ski ball game...lol I think it looks like something Farrah would wear ;)
