Oblivion
Legendary
I recently came across this topic/Face Off while during some research on Marvel - most people seemed to favor Morph just because of his powers, but I'm not so sure, what do you all think?
Mystique, a longtime villainess in the Marvel Universe and mother of the X-Men Nightcrawler and (foster mother to) Rogue, she is a powerful shapeshifter who has lived for over 100 years, led the third incarnation of The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, assassinated numerous public figures, and even worked with the X-Men on more than one occasion. Along with her shapeshifting powers, which not only allows her to take on the appearance of anyone she desires (right down to retina, vocal, and skin-pore patterns, among other things.), but also give her increased healing, age retardation, and immunity to ALL drugs and poisons, she is also a skilled hand to hand combatant who is adept at nearly all forms of conventional weaponry.
Although I don't know much about Morph, he is a mutant Omnimorph who, similar to Mystique, can shapeshift into anything he wants, although his powers seem to be much more advanced than hers. He can also fly, and - I read somewhere - has limited telepathic abilities. Considering he's made up of unstable molecules, his skin is much more resistant to physical damage than most.
--------------
Personally, I'd pick Mystique. Although Morph seems to possess a superior shape-changing power to her own, she wouldn't have survived as long as she has if she hasn't been able to take down opponents more powerful than her. While Morph is less likely to be damaged by more physical means, Marvel has listed that he's much more susceptible to energy based attacks. Didn't Mystique wield some sort of gun that projected energy bursts at one point or another? If she'd be equipped with that, or any other energy projector, that coupled with her own superb marksmanship abilities would allow her to easily trump Morph in a battle, I think.
She seems much more intelligent and cunning than Morph, and I believe would be able to - maybe not overpower him - but at least out-wit him in a fight. Using her resourcefulness and strategic mind to formulate a plan to ultimately come out on top.
What about you all? Who do you think would emerge victorious? And why?
