Latest Robin in Batman comics dies this week
I remember "Death in the family" in 1989 when the 2nd Robin died. It was one of those moments where even if you weren't that involved in the Batman comics, you still knew about it. it was a very sad thing...on par w/ Phoenix II's death on the moon in the Dark Phoenix Saga.
But of course w/ the passing of time & generations...it may not mean the same. Grant Morrison is known for dark, twisted, bizarre writing on the books he helms. He's been putting Batman through the ringer during his run, which is now coming to a close.
