Kevin Spacey comes out as gay after allegation of sexual advance on 14 yr old

So if Spacey (or anyone really) was known to corner and grope people, WHY IS THE INDUSTRY TOLERATING BEHAVIOR LIKE THIS?!

Because it's Hollyweird? It's practically known for 'allowing' this behaviour? Remember years ago, at the Oscars, when everybody in the damn building - including a certain actress [Meryl] who has stepped up and commented against Weinstein - gave a standing fucking ovation for Roman Polanski, a known rapist who fled the US because he didn't want to go to jail?

Also...Corey Feldman [and Corey Haim]. Feldman has long since been outspoken about the pedophilia that's been going on in that place [and though I have rolled my eyes at some of his statements on certain topics, I firmly believe him when he says this]. Speaking of which, he shouldn't be asking for $10 million for making a documentary on who sexually abused/assaulted both him and Haim. Just name names and trust that they will get theirs.

See, it's stuff like this that makes me frustrated they are making billions of dollars. I realize there's thousands of people employed in the industry, so obviously it's not everyone, but damn if it doesn't seem like a rampant problem.

:barf:

Well one of the things that bothers me is that a man comes out with allegations, everybody responds overwhelmingly in support of him, spacey's show gets cancelled, apologies are made, whatever. I mean that's good, but could you imagine what would happened if we listened to WOMEN that easily and we're that responsive?

Can you imagine what would happen if, for the rest of this calender year, we boycotted the entertainment industry as a whole? Movies, TV, Netflix/Hulu, all of it. Don't give them any more income. That'd wake up every last fucking one of them. I bet you the right people would finally take action. Too bad we can't coordinate something on such a dramatic scale.

People would bever inconvenience themselves unfortunately. Honestly in two months, everyone will have forgotten anything about Spacey. America has a short memory.

And about it being different when it's men, yeah I hate to say this but look at the Penn State scandal. I feel like it wouldn’t of been as much of a big deal and he wouldn’t of gotten as much jail time if it had been little girls instead of little boys.

I think the fact that most of the victims of that creep @ Penn State were little boys of color too, also played a role in why that took so long to come out.
WHY IS THE INDUSTRY TOLERATING BEHAVIOR LIKE THIS?!

b/c ultimately, this is what the industry has been doing since the contract/studio days. can you imagine the horror stories that legends like Liz Taylor & others could tell if they were here? even modern day legends like Jane Fonda (among others) are now implying that they were subjected to things like this, but many of them will not go into explicit details.

I've ready some insane stuff about what happens to ppl in the music industry- sexual assault is certainly among those things, for men & women. Tupac went into GREAT detail about how he was taken to a party, where heavy hitters like Quincy Jones were present, & he was basically told that if he wanted to "get ahead" he was gonna have to "get done." He said there were parties/orgies for this stuff.

Corey Feldmen has talked about the rampant pedophilia & molestation, & how he & Corey Haim were "passed around" when they were adolescents & teenagers, but it's only been since the shit hit the fan w/ Weinstein that what he's been saying is NOW being paid attention to. like Clara said, ppl in the entertainment industry tend to think the rules don't apply to them. It's not just the ppl doing it, its the ppl who keep the machine going, & even law enforcement.

and that slimey child molesting bastard Woody Allen, WHO (SURPRISE....NOT) is one of Weinstein's DEFENDERS, saying "he hopes it doesn't become a witch hunt." Ppl still celebrate this monster, after what he did to his own step daughter! UGH.

There are others, like R. Kelly, but I think the "smoke" around him is starting to show that the FIRE that people were trying to report on him is REAL after all. I hope he gets taken down hard, those girls (Aaliyah included) need justice.

Oh yeah, I forgot about him.

I remember reading an interview with some young actorr who is in his newest film and he was like so excited that he gets to work with Woody Allen and he was like, "yeah it's really amazing to be working with him. I know that there has been stuff said about him, but I don't pay attention to it" and I was like, "really?"

I, myself, have never seen a Woody Allen film so I honestly don't know if he's as amazing as everybody says he is or not but in my opinion, his past behaviour cancels out his supposed amazing talent. I've always thought he was creepy-looking. lol

Isn't his stepdaughter now his wife?
