Nobody good :(

Chynna Phillips- interesting. Fond memories of Wilson Phillips, but can she dance?

Chaz Bono- interesting, will probably be a lightning rod for controversy among bigoted viewers & contestants alike

Elisabetta- why?? she's George Clooney's ex. How does that make her a "star?"

Rob Kardashian- another Kardashian roach  fuck em all

David Arquette- he seems to be flounder post split from Courteney Cox. I can't imagine him dancing well @ all

Ron Artest- basketball player & monumental asshole who has ADMITTED he can't dance. it'll be funny to read what ppl say about him after his epic fail on the floor

Nancy Grace- will she be able to deviate from screaming & yelling about Casey Anthony long enough to do a two step? I can almost see her going off on the JUDGES even LOL!

Ricki Lake- eh...after that failed attempt of her's to carry on Monique & Sharon Osburne's "Charm School" on VH1, i wonder how she'll do here.

Oh, but in Italy she's a bona fide star.

And I'm not the least bit shocked about the Kardashian dude. I expect them to bring out the two youngest girls in a few years to keep the family name - sort of, as their last name is Jenner - in the news.

touche' lol!

who knew laying on your back [& your stomach etc] & spreading your legs would not only give you a "career" but all your sisters, now your brother & probably your 2 step sisters? I have a BIG problem w/ Kardashian. I feel like she sets women back 100 years & the fact that she can even be called a celebrity? It's like Edie Falco said when she publicly slammed K.Kardashian... "how...WHY is she even famous!"

I think the step sister Kendall Jenner has an extremely promising modeling career ahead of her. She's absolutely gorgeous and already causing a stir. However, it does help to have the name Kardashian linked to you.

That's what I hate about Hollywood/entertainment buisness these days. The new up and coming stars are always children of already established stars. It makes all the rest of us think, why bother? lol

This is so sad & stupid

ABC Viewers In Uproar Over Chaz Bono Choice For “Dancing With The Stars”

Posted in Liberaland by Alan • August 30, 2011, 9:48 PMET

It’s just too much for some viewers to accept that Chaz Bono will be on the new season of Dancing With the Stars.

-----------------
This is so sad & so STUPID. People need to get over themselves. What the hell difference does it make who/which gender C.Bono is? what's it to them? <<smh>> & all this religious, CHRISTIAN outrage? gimme a fuckin break. They've had criminals & crooks on this show, where was the outrage then?
:Flush:

This is exactly why i've become so over religion in general. I respect others beliefs and what they practice, however why should I have to listen to them preach intolerance and hate every time someone who is gay/transgender is put in the spotlight? And on top of that, they expect everyone to accept their beliefs no questions asked? I thought the word of God was not to judge others, but to respect and love them? *shakes head*

On a side note, this comment did have me cracking up.

"Eating shrimp and other shellfish is an ABOMINATION BEFORE GOD!!!!!!!!!!

Leviticus 11:9-12

You shrimp eaters are going to BURN IN HELL!!!!!!!!"

LOL!!

Oh who the HELL cares? Don't watch the show then and shut up about it.

I thought the word of God was not to judge others, but to respect and love them?

It is.

It's not the religion, it's how people use it to their own ends.

When I lived in New York, I went to the Catholic Church in Chelsea, and we had TONS of gay parishioners, and the priest would give many a sermon on being tolerant of other people and how god loves everyone whether they're gay or straight. So it's not ALL religious or religions that are intolerant.

:)

I totally agree. I'm a Christian and this kind of bullcrap really bothers me.

Take Matthew 7:1-2 for example:

"Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged."

and also, this one:

"And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these."

Before I segue into a mini-sermon, which I don't want to do, I would like to point out that no where, in those Bible verses, does it say we should love people only if they're doing exactly as we want them to and we should judge them because we want to freak them out and make them hate us.

*climbs off soapbox*

As for Chaz, I really don't have a problem with him being on the show. As a matter of fact, and this will seem kind of cruel, I remember thinking that it was awesome he was going to be on; he could stand to lose a few pounds [and yeah, that was me being sort of judgemental, sorry :corkysm31:].

and more still

Funny thing is, Screen Legend, before Chaz became Chaz, he was on VH1 celebrity fit club. I dont think he did well on the show either from what i remember but he even acknowledged he needed to lose weight back then. It's odd, considering how tall & thin Cher is. Speaking of Cher....

Cher defends her son Chaz Bono - Entertainment - MiamiHerald.com

I think the DWTS producers knew what they were doing w/ this b/c last season's cast, w/ the exception of Kirstie Alley, was BORING AS SHIT.

Its a shame though b/c it shows how low a network will go for ratings. They knew good & well that this is EXPLOITATION, using Chaz Bono as a LIGHTNING ROD for controversy, buzz & [they hope] ratings.

That is my issue...I don't see what Chaz gets form this, but I see a shitton of things that ABC gets. Additionally I am mildly irritated that Chaz does not even rise to the extremely low level of 'having done something' that this show shoots for. I am simply weary of Chaz being TG and Cher's ....daughter now son making him SO famous. unless there is a major personality there I have missed so far, this was a crappy pick for the reasons above.

Chaz (before reassignment) served as president of GLAAD for many years. He has been a leader & gay rights advocate, he's worked hard to get laws regarding treatment of gays in the work place reformed in the state where he lives. he said many times that acting & singing where his parent's thing...not his. But he HAS done something beside by the offspring of a super diva & bring transgender to the forefront of american consciousness (which itself is an achievement as well).

the controversy behind this is due to the inability of small minded bigots to stop judging him for who he is, like THEY have any say over it  & ABC KNEW what would happen, that's why I say its exploitation on their part. At the same time, its also showing us how UGLY & small minded people are in the 21rst century.

My only problem with Chaz being on is - as actually was pointed out in that article - that he is being exploited by ABC as someone to laugh at that they don't think will actually do well on the show. The same way that Kirstie Alley was put on last season as the "fat old woman" and won't that be funny to watch her try and dance. Of course she showed them wrong, but still. I don't think putting him on the show comes from a place of empowerment, it comes from a place of ridicule. :(
