Manhattan, NY — Mickey Mantle’s
As much as Delilah loved spending time with Cameron, she was really looking forward to a quiet night at Gavin's, just the two of them. So after Cameron left to meet Haleigh, Delilah asked if Gavin wanted to take a cab or walk to his place.
Gavin: “Huh-hoo! Just going to gloss over the whole lack of bedroom thrills thing, are we? That dreadful, is it?”
For the second time tonight, Delilah was struck speechless. He proceeded to cop an attitude as he paid the tab.
"What has gotten into you?!"
She started to walk towards the exit.
"You do know Cameron was trying to embarrass me? And it's not something I usually talk about in the middle of a crowded bar with only a menu between us and a telepath!"
The air outside was blessedly cool. A BMW pulled up and a driver got out who couldn't look more like a bodyguard if he tried. Gavin made it clear that this was their ride.
"Oh I see...a measly cab wasn't good enough..."
Delilah put her hand on the handle of the back door, rolling her eyes. She turned back and looked at him.
"And you do know, when a girl says she wants to come over and scroll through Netflix? It's a euphemism."
She pulled on the handle and slid into the backseat.
